Reclaiming the early years, for the better.(Kamon)

"Hmm?" Aston vaguely said as he stirred from his deep sleep. The Jedi padawan rubbed his eyes just a little bit as he glanced over to his Astromech droid and showed a small smile. "Sorry about that." The Jedi padawan sat in a x-wing vessel that was carrying him to the planet of Eshan where he hoped to speak with his father whom he had just learned about weeks earlier. Aston understood, he supposed he didn't hate the man at all. He was just unsure how to act around him. The young, padawan could sense that he was a good person. Aston took that leap of faith to try to get to know him much better, what kind of son would he be if he didn't otherwise. There were so many cultures, so many things running from his blood. Aston had been traveling to learn more, he had so much to do.

The padawan had much to learn, that much was certain. Whom better teach him if not his own Master, but his father as well. The Padawan had just received a Master to train him, so that part was complete. "There it is R2." Aston whispered as the x-wing shot out of hyperspace at the planet of Eshan stood out before him and his small fighter. "Here goes nothing." Aston said with a small giggle as he steered the craft towards the planet and with a few moments he was being hailed by security.

"Ground control to unidentified personal. State your name and your reason for being here."

"My name is Aston Jacobs, I am a Jedi Padawan with the Galactic Repbulic. My reasons are my own." Aston said easily enough, and he heard a beeping from his astromech droid. He giggled and then looked forward again. "I know, nosy aren't they?"

"Stand by."

Aston heard that, no doubt they were scanning for anything in particular, and trying to get a hold of someone to clear this. So much trouble for just a Padawan aboard an X-wing Aston thought. Then again he understood how security was these days.

It wasn't just that. Two fast moving IFAS craft, each roughly 110m long, swept through space on an intercept route. C1 Starfighters flew outward towards the ship, moving onto its wings to provide escort. Eshan was now a heavily defended planet. The expansion of the Compact ensured that they had a necessity for defense, and the Council was seeing to it that they got it.

Fortunately for Aston, his father had felt him as soon as he exited hyperspace. Kamon had run from the temple to the command facilities, where he quickly spoke with a secretary to pass along the word that the fighter was alright.

"Jedi Jacobs you have permission to land in docking bay four at the Capital City Spaceport. The Fighters will guide you down."

The secretary quickly informed Kamon of where his son would be landing and then Kamon left. He ran through the cold city to the spaceport and went inside. He found the docking bay and stood just inside the door where it would be safe to wait for the landing fighter. His eyes searched the sky above, waiting to see his son's vessel coming down. Finally. Finally Aston was coming to see him. This was good. It needed to happen.

Showing still that had a young mind and still much to learn he was unaware of why the planet was so heavily guarded. After he got confirmation about landing and what hangar to do it in. He followed the instructions as was told as the fighters escorted him down towards the planet surface and the spaceport. Was he nervous...? Of course he was, this was technically going to be their first official meeting as father and son since they met that day a while back. As Aston tried to remember it, it seemed like it was so long ago. The fighter docked in the bay and he could see his father close by, then he heard the beeping from his astromech droid as the ship touched down. "If you want to, it makes no difference." Aston said with a small smile as the hatch opened and he climbed out of the fighter with his R2 unit getting ejected behind him.

There he was, just ahead of him. Aston glanced over to his droid that was at his side as he straightened up his padawan robes just a bit as he approached him. Aston at this point was a little nervous, he shouldn't have been, but he was. He held up a hand in recognition to him. "Father." Aston said simply, yet he stopped just before him and then let out a small nervous chuckle. Aston then inclined his body just a bit in respect.

"It's good to see you."

Kamon stared at his son, smiling as he did so. The young man was nervous. Anyone with any training would be able to see that. The slight inclination just got a head shake from the elder Vondiranach. Walking across to him, he enveloped his son in a hug and ruffled his hair. They might not have known each other for very long, but Kamon refused to act distant.
"Aston, it's good you've come. Your sister has already been here. I've been waiting for you."

He stepped back and looked his son over. A grown man. He looked like a younger Kamon, but there were still flecks of his mother in her as well. It was easy to see that. How could he miss it? He smirked a little and shook his head, getting more serious.

"How are you feeling? I know you've felt a bit lost. I could feel it when we met before."

"Daaaaad." Aston said rather coy as his father ruffled his hair, and he could help but embrace his father as well, and he got nothing but good feelings from it. "I'm sorry it took me so long, I've just been thinking."

When he asked how he was, Aston knew full well that he wouldn't be able to hold back anything from this point. He could already see it in him, perhaps even before Kamon saw him in person. His thoughts shifted to his sister, and then here, and back. There were everywhere at this point. Aston hated to question things, be he couldn't hold back anymore. It was time for him to learn.

"Yes father, I just..." Aston began to say as he tried to find his words. "I just have...worries, concerns....." The young, eager padawan looked to the ground for a minute before looking back at to his father.

"Doubts..."

"Thinking is an important task. Those who act without thinking never live long."

He motioned for Aston to walk with him and then opened the door to the bay. Waiting for Aston to walk through, he followed after and started walking with him through the facility, towards the distant exit. The place was bustling, mostly with white-haired and white-skinned people. A few Miraluka went past them, one tall Null, and a few others from various other worlds that the Compact had influence over.

"What are you worried about? You or your sister? Or both? Spencer has been here recently. I have concerns about her path as well, but she knows what she's doing, and I trust her. Just trust her too. If you're concerned about your path, though, you came to the right place. Talk to me and we'll see what comes of it."

They walked out into the cold of the city and he ignored everyone else around them. He figured the best place to go was his home. They could talk in comfort there.

Aston smiled and nodded to his father as he walked at his side past those few some he had seen, others hardly not. The Jedi Padawan listened to his words and he nodded, which he did. He did, he believed in his sister, that above all else. She was a part of him, and vice versa.

"I do trust her father!" Aston said in a rather forceful tone, as if he was thinking that he challenged this, which wasn't the case.

"I just don't trust them...at all." Aston admitted, in reference to the Sith. "I just feel I wish I knew what I was supposed to be doing right now...ya know?"

Kamon nodded at what his son said. Of course he trusted her. They were twins. If they didn't trust one another, life wouldn't much be worth living, would it?

"You're her other half, Aston. Without you she is nothing. She might think she has everything she could ever want since she's with the Empress, but that wouldn't mean much of anything if you were gone. Be the counter balance, Aston. Your sister is drifting towards the dark. You need to keep her grounded."

They walked through the city, past all of the white skinned and white haired people. These were Echani. His father had looked exactly like them, but his father was gone, just as his mother was. Aston had no grandparents from his side of the family. He wasn't sure if there were any from Satara's side either. It didn't really matter. In the end all they had was each other.

They walked towards a modest home and he opened the door for them, letting Aston go in first.

"Hanna's away on business so we can relax here alone."

Aston didn't want to sound dumb, or foolish. But he felt anything that he would say to this would sound dumb or foolish. "I think over and over about what could happen, about what I could do. I know she would listen to me, I just keep playing things in my head over and over again and since she is the one with darkness shrouding her, I feel it is my duty to try and bring her back?" Aston stopped for a minute as he was getting just a little worked up as his father opened the door for him to go in first. "Thank you father." Aston walked in the house and he smiled as he took a look around. Taking in the change of scenery, it felt good to be here right now. "This place looks great!"

Aston just smiled as he looked over to Kamon and then a small giggle just escape his mouth. "Sorry!" Aston cleared his throat and just shrugged his shoulders. "I just....have a lot of questions."

"By all accounts you're really the only person that can help her stay good, Aston. She barely knows me. I want to be here for both of you, I do, but I have work to do as well. This galaxy is a dangerous place and I have a job I must do. But, you grew up with her. You, above all, can ground her. Whether you try or not, is up to you, but I support you."

He walked over and sat down on one of the couches, beckoning for Aston to join him. It was nice to have his son there with him. They had barely had a chance to speak before, and now they had all the time they needed to sit and talk with one another. He wished Spencer was there so he could have both of his children with him, together, for once. He sighed as he realized just how much he'd missed.

"If you have questions, ask them. I am an open book to you."
