SPECIAL FEATURES
  • A-Viewer Auric Disruption Viewer: Can help Lord Ziss determine if someone is force sensitive or not. Only tells Ziss whether they are force sensitive or not. It does not tell him anything about their power, position, or force abilities.
  • Combat Stimulant: Lord Ziss can hit harder, heavier, and faster when wearing the armor, as it is continually feeding his body a very low dose of a combat stimulant when it detects that his body is in physical harm.
  • D-Viewer Sonic Depthviewer: Accurate to 500km depth. Same technology used in Scorpion Walkers.
  • D-Viewer Heads-Up-Display: The targeting system displays and then narrows in on people, vehicles, and weapons.
  • D-Viewer Global Positioning, Accurate to 2000km. Can help Lord Ziss pilot large spaceships and make pin-point decisions while traveling in a very fast vehicle, such as a swoop bike, or traveling through hyperspace.
  • DroidBrain: Splicer module. Works twice per mission. Gives Lord Ziss a small bonus when splicing computers or perform computer-related actions. The DroidBrain shows the computer source code inside of the helmet's HUD and allows mental manipulation of the code.
  • Life Support Systems: Can turn on life support so as to survive short distances in the space vacuum (no more than 2 turns).
  • Alternative "Honor Guard" Carapace: For RP flavor purposes, Lord Ziss may elect to wear a version of the armor that has a fancy emerald crystal in the center, or even a black cape around his neck. It provides no actual advantage, it is just to snazz up the design for the sake of elegance. These additions also do not change the design / structure of the armor in any significant way. It's basically decoration.
STRENGTHS
  • Provides excellent protection from energy attacks; decent protection from other forms of attack, including lightsabers.
  • Provides excellent maneuverability. The weight is light. This is perfect for force-users, light recon teams, and computer splicers who need to move quickly. Lord Ziss is able to do a full backflip in this armor with minimal Force assistance.
  • Life Support. Can survive for up to two turns in a space vacuum or on a non-breathable planet before beginning to suffocate. With sufficient planning and enough resources, Lord Ziss can jury-rig a more permanent life support system that will allow him to survive on planets that are not normally breathable...but only long enough for one RP thread per month!
  • Unarmed Claw Attacks: When disarmed, Lord Ziss can use the razor-sharp claws at the ends of his gauntlets to counter-attack against an assailant, or to try and sweep weapons away from a duelist.
  • Various Viewfinding Technologies. The view-finders inside of Lord Ziss's helmet helps him strategize better on the battlefield and gives him greater perception and combat wit: for example, by showing a red targeting field against incoming projectiles such as grenades. The "A-Viewer" (Auric Viewfinder) is able to tell Lord Ziss whether an enemy is force-sensitive or not (but not any more details than that). DroidBrain helps Ova Ziss to manipulate code on a computer up to two times per thread with his mind, instead of the terminal.
  • Combat Stims: Lord Ziss's armor releases a very low but continual dose of a mass-produced combat stimulant whenever his body is considered to be in physical danger. This allows Lord Ziss to hold his own against enemies that are one dueling rank over him. For example, as a "Padawan" level learner, Lord Ziss would be able to keep up with a duelist at the "Knight" rank.
WEAKNESSES
  • Very little protection from kinetic attacks. The light-weight recon design isn't designed to take kinetic damage.
  • Very little protection from EMP. The viewfinders and life support are vulnerable to EMP strikes.
  • No protection against force-based attacks. Lord Ziss takes force damage normally.
  • Built specifically for Lord Ziss. The armor isn't designed for mass production. The armor was designed specifically for Lord Ziss after his terrible accident. The armor will not fit any other character, even PCs who are shaped like him, or shape-shifters. There is no Jedi or Sith alchemy in this armor, yes...but that doesn't mean there isn't any alchemy in it at all!
  • Viewing Technology can be damaged. If Lord Ziss takes too many blows to the helmet, or if someone hits him hard enough to remove the helmet, the viewing technology and combat stimulant system will shut off. This will give the opponent duelist a unique advantage and level the field for them.
  • Life support technology can be damaged. If Lord Ziss takes too many blows to the armor, it will begin to disable some of the technology in the armor, such as the DroidBrain, combat stimulant, and the life support systems. This greatly weakens Lord Ziss's ability to attack the duelist.
  • No Modularity; Unique Item. No new technologies, materials, substances or items can be introduced to the Lord Ziss recon armor.
  • Contains a terrible secret (Witches of Dathomir Curse). The armor has been touched by the magic of the Witches of Dathomir. The souls of Trakata from the ancient Sith Armor worn by Cord Starfall are bound to Lord Ziss's armor, as revenge for his transgressions against the Witches by selling kyber crystals. Every time Lord Ziss invades a planet or participates in RP while wearing this armor, he becomes infected more and more by the souls of the Trakata. At some indeterminate point in the future, the darkness of the tortured Trakata souls will overwhelm Ziss, turning him into Lord Ziss permanently. The only way that Lord Ziss can resist this dark transformation is to seek periodic healing (RP) from the Witches of Dathomir or another alchemically-trained force user, who can help keep the Trakata souls calm and bind them into other objects. This keeps Ova Ziss from experiencing severe personality shifts: shifts towards use of the dark side of the force, and shifts for which he has limited control.
  • Becoming Lord Ziss: If the evil Trakata spirit overtakes Ova Ziss entirely, then Ova Ziss will inhabit the suit permanently! This particular Trakata is a conquering and vengeful spirit that is intent on conquering people, businesses, planets, and even entire clusters. Whatever type of rage sickness inhabits this Trakata can, and possibly will, spread to people and creatures. The Trakata spirit does not understand that it is ill with a rage sickness. The Trakata spirit does not understand that centuries have passed since the Trakatan Wars. It will attempt to contact its only known allies, the Witches of Dathomir, and try to mount an insurgency against the Jedi. It will eliminate the person who is inhabiting the armor, which is Ova Ziss. For all intents and purposes, Lord Ziss will be an entirely different person. While Ova Ziss will experience a dramatic increase in his force powers if he gives in to the dark side Trakata, he will become completely and utterly insane; clinically narcissistic to a dangerous degree; and it will be difficult for authority figures or indeed anyone to control Lord Ziss's behavior. It is said that if the Trakata does win, it will summon "an otherworldly dragon" that will help him destroy the galaxy and rid it entirely of "Jedahi" (Jedi). The worldly sacrifice of Ova Ziss will let the Trakata "Lord Ziss" summon this dragon, and remain in the armor. The Witches of Dathomir, the Brotherhood of the Diarchy, and several other factions are aware of "Ova Ziss and his accident", and they are referring to this dangerous Trakata spirit that they detect inside of him. A number of factions are attempting to stop this Lord Ziss business, without letting Ova Ziss know about it (for various, legitimate reasons). If the Trakata spirit inside of Ova Ziss wins and overtakes his body using the armor, Ova Ziss will be considered dead, and the Trakata will begin its attempted reign. If the Trakata is then killed, the armor will not have any further effect.
  • Negative Effects from Force Suppression / Nullification: In the event that Ova Ziss enters a force nullification area or has force nullification effects used on him, the Lord Ziss armor does not work as intended. The armor is sabotaged. The Trakata spirit is rebuked during the period of force nullification. The force cannot enter into the armor. The mechanical components of the armor continue to function (life support; stimulants; droid-brain), but the armor becomes regular medium recon armor. All protections of the armor go down one grade. Ova will have no protection against kinetic and lightning/EMP strikes, low protection from radiation and slugthrowers, and average protection against everything else. The weight increases from "low" to "average". Ova will have no contact with the Trakata spirit, or any side of the force, in a force nullification zone. Ova's recon armor becomes merely that: regular recon armor. No special qualities. Although the Trakata spirit will still be "present", it will be unable to have any effect on Ova, it will not be able to speak to Ova or anyone else, Ova can't use the Trakata's powers, and it will be unable to have any influence for the duration of the force nullification effect. The force will be nullified as expected against Ova.
DESCRIPTION

Ova Ziss never wanted to become a Sith - never wanted to give into the anger - but when he did, it felt so good. After the duel with Cord Starfall, he was a changed man. He resolved that he won't ever turn back. The special power armor that he adopted in the wake of his terrible accident would be a reflection not of him, but of the specter of death that he wished to portray on the battlefield. This armor would be - in Ova's words - "the stake that shall bury into the coffin of the corrupt". It would be a most glorious alter-ego. Lord Ziss's horrible crimson armor strikes fear into the heart of the Diarchy's foes, his flowing black cape a symbol of the unyielding fury which follows his missions all across the galaxy. His helmet, neither Jedi nor Sith nor Mandalorian, is engraved with titanium silver: yet another attempt to intimidate through financial means. There is an icon of a six-legged scorpion walker on his chest: a reminder of the betrayal of the Asation Gree against Dantooine; how Ova would never allow himself to be betrayed again. The visor glows darkly with a dirty purple gaze, formed by the red D-Viewer and blue A-Viewer meeting in the middle. The viewer technology sizes up his enemies so that Lord Ziss doesn't have to.

The galaxy was filled with men, women and aliens who were heartless and cruel, and if Ova Ziss had to go to war with them, he would be the most heartless and ruthless commander of them all.

When he appeared on the battlefield in his recon armor, death would follow swiftly after.

This Armor, in a short time, marked the birth...of Lord Ziss.

Ova still needed training, because if he did not conquer the anger of the armor, the armor would conquer him.

So sorry, I will make sure to link to the original artist in the future. I didn't realize that linking to those sites is disrespectful, and it's important to me also that the original artist gets the credit for their work.

I searched ArtStation for two fresh new pictures, which are even better than the originals, and I linked those up.

Regarding the Dathomiri magic, I've written some more lore about this spirit that is inhabiting Ova and the Lord Ziss armor. If Ova gives in to the dark side, he could potentially die.

Thank you, but again, it is Force related, so I'll not accept the sub without the Foce Suppression/Nullification weakness. Every judge ask this weakness in every Force related sub. Because of this, I would like to ask you again to add this weakness to your sub.

For sure. If this is a requirement, then I will add this additional weakness.

Force Suppression / Nullification: Successful force-related attacks against Lord Ziss must do double the damage that they normally would.

Thank you, but it doesn't work like that, because then you can't be affected by any Force (because there is no Force in that area, that's the point, alchemised, imbued items don't work or worse in that area), in this sub's case the Force suppression/nullification is specifically to neutralise the curse and actually in your case it's more of a Strength than a Weakness..

I am not familiar with force nullification, but I understand it better now. I consulted with a friend who knows Star Wars lore much better.

I see what you're saying: there needs to be more weaknesses in a force nullification zone.

Here is what I propose.

So basically...

When force nullification happens, all of the positive effects except the technology ones go away. I have added weaknesses to kinetic, EMP, radiation, and slugthrowers in a force nullification area. The armor becomes heavier. I've also made it so that this unique armor becomes regular, medium recon armor. The Trakata cannot influence RP threads where there is force nullification, either. The spirit cannot talk to Ova during force suppression, and vice versa.

I feel that this is a fair balance for force nullification on the armor. It is removing a lot of the positives while giving me new challenges to RP.
