Recon Meet and Greet

Zane stood silent, arms folded across his chest, scanners adjusted to the dim dark of night. Soon enough he expected the arrival of his companion, the Robin, who he would teach to appreciate the life of the less than bright. It was not a forced ideal, there was no feeling of contrite. Instead, he simply understood this was the girls birthright.

"Oracle." Zane said, his communicator connecting him to his main computer, which ran under a freed AI, one once known as SARRAH.

"Yeah, I hear ya."

"Did she receive the message?" He asked, turning his head, his gaze traveling along the stars for a moment.

"Yup. She'll be there soon." Came the feminine voice's reply.

"Thanks." He said, then with a thought, the thrusters in his boots activated, and he rocketed upward, rotating in place, so as to see her when she came.

Stephanie would make her place to the very spot where she was to meet the mysterious man whom had called for her. She had been fighting street crime for a long time. Ever since she worked with this vigilante to bring her father to justice. She would emerge from the shadows and come into the street light. "Hello"

Landing with a soft tap, Zane turned and watched the girl grew near. Despite his darker appearance, many called demonic, she showed no fear. With little emotion she did so appear, clad in bright red, orange, and black gear. Whether she understood what was coming soon though, was yet to be made quite clear.

"Hello. Are you ready for your lessons?" Zane asked, his voice modulated to be darker, in a snarling gravely sounding baritone.

"Knight?" Oracle's voice emulated through his speakers.

"Yes?" He asked, the AI instantly having his attention.

"The Raas are already on the move. You need to hurry to make the deadline."

"Very well," He said, then once more turned his attentions to the Robin, "You're the Robin, I'm the Dark Knight, I'm going to teach you, and first we will be going to chase the gang known as the Raas. Let's go." At which point his rockets kicked in and he shot into the air, his red glider wings attached to his wrists, spread down to his waistline.

Stephanie would comprehend everything she was being told being. But being approached by the knight to be his side kick had surprised her being as no person had been his sidekick. She was Ecstatic to get her chance to make her mark on the world at the knight’s side. As he took off she would run after him

Zane would sweep his legs forward, his wings collapsing against his back, as his thrusters slowed his descent. With such speed gathered, a massive explosive collision could be prevented. Landing mid a sliding motion, he fought to keep himself straight, to not feel disoriented. Last thing he wanted was to veer, fall, and eat the cement.

Turning, he saw she struggled to keep up, so swooped back to the ground, grabbed her under the arms then brought her back to the roof of the warehouse. Setting her down, he looked to the roof of the building. Most wouldn't do this, but he did so, just as his HUD switched to thermal imaging. Scanning the heat signatures, he sighed, happy that the suit responded to thought, so she wouldn't hear it.

They would be in for a fight.

"There is at least three dozen enemies inside. I don't know if you have ever been in combat before, and if you haven't I recommend staying near me at all times." He said aloud. At that he walked to the roof access door, opened it then stepped inward.

Luckily there weren't any of the beings in the immediate vicinity - slammed against a wall but a being his sensors hadn't picked up on, Zane instantly lashed out with a Neural Storm, simultaneously dropping under his opponents arms, sweeping behind him, then placing the man in a choke hold. As his powerful arms tightened on the neck, he said, "OK, so maybe there's more!"

[member="Stephanie Brown"] (sorry. Fell asleep earlier than I expected last night.)

Stephanie would follow him closely pulling her bo staff ready for a fight. She would ready herself for whatever was coming. She would be ready for anything coming her way. As she followed him through the darkness of the stairs she would remember her mask. She had yet to put it on but it was necessary. SHe would place it on her face

Zane finally released the man he held tight, dropping the body to the floor. Turning on his heel, he watched as the girl finally slid on her mask, which he had figured she would have done before. Reaching for the railing, the Dark Knight would continue scanning downward, this time in radial wave lengths, to find there was a larger number than he had believed, far more. They had the numbers, and he had an untrained apprentice.. he swore.

"Let's go" Zane said, jumping the railing to land on the next floor, a dozen Dragon Talons flung in an arc, sticking to multiple targets that each stood around, waiting for orders. The blades, small knives carved in a circular design like their named after item, dropped plenty and left the rest clutching at gushing wounds. Racing forward, he slid into a scissor kick that sent one of the living sprawling, before planting his right arm, then pushing upward.

Now in an airborne kick, the Dark Knight slammed the attack into the front of a mans throat, crushing his esophagus. While he went to the ground, Zane rode the effect until he was right side up again, then he threw himself into a flip that carried feet over head until he brought his leg down atop the head of the next enemy in a crushing display.

As a man came toward the back of the darkly dressed powerhouse, a blinding sizzle of electricity would charge along his body. While the man's body roasted, Valashu Elahad, the Kensûrai Archer flipped into the scene from the side of the room, landing mid strike. The strength of his bow didn't even bend upon the full brunt of his downward blast against an opponent's now crushed clavicle. Spinning in a circle, his Quiver shot an arrow upward, which we caught, nocked, then released into the eye socket of a third.

"Who are you two?" Valashu called, his voice modulated to sound garbled by his voice changing mask.

While they came up with their response, he swung his bow in an x pattern that first sent a mans face one way, but then back the way it came, only opposite the original placement. Planting a kick in the center of the stunned attacker, he drew back partially, spun in place, then sent the man sprawling with a powerful roundhouse.

Stephanie would drop down onto the already wounded enemies and spin her staff smacking people in the heads knocking them unconscious. She would keep doing this until most were knocked out then note the man with the bow. She would poise herself for attack remaining by her master. She would move to the side of him looking the man over thinking about what she would do

Zane ducked under a blow that swept his way, planting a hand on the ground, then swinging his legs upward to wrap about the attackers throat. Before he could move, or attempt to free himself, his neck was snapped, and he fell to the floor like a discarded coat. Turning quickly, he dropped to the floor, sweeping his leg beneath the legs of another; with time seeming slowed, his body did seem to float.

"Dark Knight, she's Robin, thanks for the assist!" Zane shouted back, understanding that he would show thanks to his Flow Walking abilities. Planting a powerful blow directly to the floating mans throat, dropped him to the floor swiftly. Where upon, a brief enhancement of his muscle through the Force, launched the body into the air to collide with another oncoming attacker.

Spinning, he said aloud, "More are coming! Robin! Get behind that door! When they enter, catch em off guard!"

[member="Stephanie Brown"]

Stephanie would quickly get behind the door poised to attack. She would wait until the door opened. As it did she would swing around it smacking the first in the face then moving on to the next she would bring her leg around kicking him in the face before she was surrounded and pinned down

Valashu leaned back lithely, just as a round kick came for his face. As the leg began to lower, it was wrapped in his bowstring, which he then jerked upward to cause the man to lose his footing. A deft punch to the face would knock this man unconscious as well. Releasing the appendage, Valashu spun, bringing the end of his bow into a whip attack, that left his enemy with a dislocated jaw.

Just as Knight was about to notice the incoming enemies, Matreya did the same with his own sensors. At least a dozen, maybe more, were flooding their way towards the upper floors, thanks to hearing the gunshots fired by their comrades.

"I'm not sure that's a good idea!" Val said, but didn't raise a further point, instead he dropped to a knee, knocked an arrow, and let it plant itself into the abdomen of a man that sought to attack Robin.

Seeing the Archer come to aid his new apprentice, Zane nodded, checking him off of his suspision list. The man was clearly a good person, one who did their best. When the time came, Zane and he would speak, and they would reveal the rest. Doubling back, Zane narrowly dodged a fist.

Spinning, Zane lept up, bringing both legs into a bone shattering kick, where upon he landed, spun in place, faced his apprentice... then all time seemed to slow. When he was using the force, really tapping into it, was always when he seemed to he at his best. Immediately all of the men surrounding her would drop to the floor, vomiting all over themselves and those nearest them. Neural Storm was his best technique after all.

Immediately a barrage of Krayt Talons launched themselves at the fallen enemies, ending their lives, "Get up Robin. Fight back! Allowing them to get the better of you on your first mission!?" He yelled, suddenly finding himself slammed into from behind, thus knocked to the ground, where he was pinned. The Force warned that he was facing severe danger, inspite his already knowing so much.

Watching the Knight fight for his apprentice, Matreya spun in place, bashing the skull of the last man in his region. As his spin finished, he drew an arrow just in case. Luckily as he did, he managed to catch sight of the man that tackled his new found companion. Releasing the durasteel projectile, he watched it plant itself halfway down the shaft, through his neck.

Rising to his feet, he raised a hand, gripped a nearby chunk of wall that had fallen due to the battle, then hurled it at the doorway. The metal fit snugly, creating a barricade of sorts, enough for them to get time to ready for the next wave.

"You here for the Raas as well?" Val asked, his voice continued being modulated by his electronics, "I have been following the leader, Mas, for weeks now. He stole important information from many people he shouldn't have, so I'm taking them oht, here and now."

Robin would jump to her feet and find her bo staff not too far from her as she began to spin and smash peoples skulls and knocking people down by taking their legs out. As the knight was pinned she would move towards him but be cut off by the arrow to the man she would come over and offer a hand "You OK?"

Taking the offered hand, Zane rose to his feet, happy to look about and see they had a moment of reprieve. A few deep breaths slowed his breathing, all the while he mulled the count surrounding them, it was already more than initially believed. How could someone have so many more men than what was calculated, it was difficult to do so, this fact he had to concede. It was quite the unbelievable to have achieved..

"Robin, let's go. I believe we are at a point of no return." Zane said, looking to his student, then the man, "I want to thank you Archer. If ever you need my assistance, feel free to contact me." He said, offering a small chip to the person whom had saved his life, "This is a direct link to my computers, it will not receive information, but can patch it through. Times, and places, these will be met as best I can."
