Scouting was something Gerwald found himself doing a lot these days. The Confederacy needed information as they continued to expand the reach of their influence across the outer rim. This time the mission was special as the woman with him was none other than his own flesh and blood. It had been a while since the two Lencher siblings had worked together on anything. Their truce had come with a price, distance. Gerwald had never intended for it, and neither had Alwine. The Knights Obsidian had sent them in different directions as had the one thing Gerwald learned about his prowess. Even though he was committed to the path of an Executor, ot was not the right path for his skills. Perhaps he would make the change one day, but for now he enjoyed what he was doing.

Today found them at the Red Rock region of M'aeli. Where once a rebel base had stood spice dealers had erected a storage facility of sorts. Usually this would not be an issue with the CIS as far as Gerwald knew, but it was to the planet. Their job was to assess the threat level and shut down the Red Rock operation. A full report would be given to the Dominus later as to how many knights would be needed for a full scale operation. As usual, they would do as the planet's government needed in exchange for bringing the world under the rule of CIS law.

"Sneaky like or bust the door down," Ger asked his sister as they walked off the loading ramp of the ship. He sighed as he looked at it. It was a reminder of great pain he caused Alwine. When the mission was over and he had the credits he needed, Gerwald was going to gift the ship to Alwine. Alwine need to be as free as Gerwald was, and living in his ship was not the best way to see that happen. He tried to make her stay once, but only because she was leaving out of anger. It was time to give her the one thing he had left Stewjon for, complete freedom. What she did with it was her choice.

"Your choice today. I could go either way... but what does the brains of the duo say?"

Had the mission summons included anyone else but [member="Gerwald Lechner"], Alwine would have most likely turned it down. Her patience for repetitive missions had been wearing thin with the Confederacy, and it had been some months during which she was considering leaving it all together. To where though, and to do what, she had no answer yet. And for as long as she had no definitive answer, she preferred to remain right where she was; with her dalniyuk. Their current situation was a temporary one. She knew it, and she believed Gerwald knew it too. But she wanted to squeeze the ever most out of it that she could. They had not left Stewjon only to separate. Soon the time would come to find her own path, a path that would include slightly more than simply being where her brother was. But not before certain matters were amended.

Their mission was a simple one; scouting. Figure out how many of the enemies there were, and how strong a force was needed to take them down. On paper, it was among the simpler things either of them had one. Why a government such as the Confederacy that had the means to spend on spy nano-droids that could gather the same information for them from as safe distance and without the risk of lives was beyond her. But she had increasingly be growing further and further away from being a fan of the Confederacy.

As Gerwald referred to her as the brain of the duo, Alwine gave her brother a wolfish grin. They had shared battles before. She had seen him go all in, both as wolf and as man. If he could go either way now, she had every intention of challenging him.

"Sneaky, dalniyuk," she replied as she moved a wisp of hair behind her ear, "and in our human shape."

The most recent attempt Alwine had performed in her wolf shape was to take a murderer down. She had succeeded (of course), but it had cost her a knife between the ribs and had locked her in that shape until she'd healed. It was a small mercy from the gods that wolves healed faster than humans, for the inability to choose which form to be in had made her feel wretched for days. But she also knew that in her human shape, she was more careful, and less reckless. It would force her into thinking things through rather than charging like an angry cub.

"Perhaps we could just save the Confederacy some time and take the group out on our own," she shrugged and added a little snark, "and then it can throw yet another party, because the Confederates can never party enough."

Sneaky... and human form... Alwine had been hurt, Ger had heard about it, but by the time they had seen each other she had healed. The stab wound could have been fatal, but Alwine was a survivor. Gerwald did not want to downplay the injury, but he did not want to coddle his sister either. She was much tougher than he was considering what she had already survived, and Gerwald was not going to pretend otherwise. The only thing that caught him off guard had been the passive aggressive comment about the Confederacy itself. He could not disagree with the sentiment, they did like their parties, but Gerwald had never heard her complain before.

"Hey is everything okay? This is sudden and new..." Gerwald asked and observed.

If she was not happy with the Confederacy then giving her a ship might be for the best. Gerwald would never want his sister to stay somewhere she was not happy, but he was also selfish enough to wish that she would stick around. Did they have a future with the CIS, Gerwald could not answer that questions. His mind was still wrestling with the tension that still existed with Scherezade and Katrine. Even though Gerwald had made his choice, things were not any easier it seemed, only more complicated. Parts of Gerwald wanted to move on from all of it entirely, and other parts of him were stubborn enough to stick with what he had decided. He loved his sister, he loved Katrine, and he still cared for Scherezade, but he hated how complicated that part of his life seemed to be.

"Look, we could take them out, and we could likely get a commendation for it. However, the two us can't rid the other cites fast enough to quell any kind of retribution on the people our actions would cause. We scout, take out this cell, and that is it. We will report back and let the Dominus decide what he wants to do about the rest. Besides, if there is anything I have learned on these missions... nothing is ever as easy or simple as it seems. My last mission... underground caves, weapons... killed a bunch of terrorists with a redheaded mute murder hobo... good times, but not what the dossier said. We'll find our fun."

Was everything okay? Alwine blinked, looking at her brother. Comments as the one she'd made had in the past either made him laugh or had gone over his head. Him noticing that… It was new. Alwine smiled. It also meant she would have to adjust herself to it as well; sometimes she simply wanted to be snarky without giving cause for concern. And still, in that moment, had they not been on a mission, she would have inched herself up on the tip of her toes to kiss his cheek.

"We will speak of it when we return," she said, giving Gerwald a confident nod. There was no reason to hide anything from her brother. More often than not it was more of a question regarding how to not hide it.

As Gerwald explained their options, Alwine could do little but sight. It was only that last bit that caused her ears to perk. "You must tell me of these missions," she said, "you tell me of what you do so rarely, leaving me to imagine the worst." This time though, there was no snark. The smile on her face was warm and inviting. Even on Stewjon there were but a few things she loved more than to listen go Gerwald and Varick tell their tales of adventure as Warriors.

As for the taking them out… "Do you ever feel like we are being held back in our training?" she asked her brother as the two continued to walk, "you say we cannot be fast enough for the other cities. But we have the Force. Why can we not be fast enough? I have heard tales of Sith and Jedi masters leveling entire cities with their will alone, of those who had caused entire planets to explode. Why should we be barred from those levels of power? Has life on Stewjon damaged us in that regard? Is it in our psyche that we are faulty? Or is our training regimen simply meant to hold us back; give us enough power to be useful, but not enough of it to overpower?"

Alwine cursed, and closed her eyes. "Forget all I've just said. We have a mission to focus on. We can hash this out later, when we are done. Where is this den we are headed to?"

Alwine was sending all kinds of mixed signals. First she did not want to talk about what was bothering her, then she went into a pretty decent explanation of what was on her mind, and finally back to talking about it later. Gerwald was convinced this was a living example of why women were impossible to understand. It was an exact example. Ger chuckled a bit trying to keep the mood light, but it was clear what little she had said did bother her.

"I will tell you all about my adventures when this is all over. However, that other thing... don't let stories shape your current reality. Whether we are being held back in our training or not has nothing to do with those stories. I don't even think they could do what you are suggesting. I mean to keep the CIS from having to come at all we would have to eradicate every network planet wide. Not sure it is possible for one person to be multiple places at once even with the force."

Gerwald just shrugged. Alwine was trying to clear her head for the mission. Her next question got them back at the task on hand. Ger smiled because he knew the answer?

"Didn't you read the report?"

Ger pretended to fake shock and disappointment.

"So the den we are headed to used to be an old rebel base back in the Palpatine days or something like that. We have run into a few of these abandoned bases that criminal organizations like to claim as theirs because they tend to be a good defensible position and are kept away from enough of the main populace to keep from attracting unwanted attention. The only reason we know about it is because these cartels have been getting a bit more aggressive and overconfident. The government can't handle them, and so we were called in. From what I know we may have civilian addicts inside as well, so be careful who we kill."

Gerwald was assuming this was going to end in blood.

Gerwald did not think those stories could do what they told? Alwine blinked. She would not have told him of it if she had thought the same; in every tale was a grain of truth, and even if only a grain of it was real, it was still heaps away from what either she or her brother could perform. Still, now was not the time to argue about it. She knew that she and Gerwald got into an actual argument right here and then, their mission targets could run around them in circles shooting and neither of the Lupines would notice until one had come out on top. And while that was an interesting notion, now was hardly the time for it.

"Of course I read the report!" she snapped at him despite her previous train of thought, "I didn't ask what it was, I asked where the den is."

Now she rolled her eyes. Boys are dum-dums. Not an original thought. Not even a line she would have normally used. But it was a lingering effect.

But since her dear brother was not keen on giving her the answer she wanted, Alwine flipped her datapad open and looked. "So we need to head north-east for a few miles," she said and sighed. It would be faster if they were wolves, but they had no way to carry their equipment with it.

"We need a speeder," she nodded, looking around, "do we borrow one or buy one?"

"Do you really have to ask," Gerwald said as he looked around the area for something of a reliable speeder. Truth be told, Gerwald wanted his own speeder bike, and this was likely the opportunity to take one. "I am pretty sure the Dominus will frown on us stealing from the civilians, but my guess is taking things from a known drug cartel would be different."

The smile on Gerwald's face was wolf like as he began to move around back a nearby building. His eyes were set on a well used, vintage speeder bike which had caught his attention from the moment they ventured into this part of the city. Climbing onto the bike, Gerwald started the machine and motioned for Alwine to hop on.

"Hop on or find your own. Either way this is going to be fun."

The wolf like smile never left his face. It was clear he was enjoying this a bit too much, though would Alwine complain. Gerwald had not been this happy in a long time, not visibly anyway. For some reason he was starting to feel a bit more free. Perhaps the sudden decision to let Alwine be was enough to cause the change, maybe not. One thing was certain though, Gerwald was noticeably different.

The Dominus would frown on them? Alwine snickered at the mere thought of that. If the Dominus would care, that would color Alwine truthfully surprised. She had not noticed anyone in the Confederacy to particularly care as long as word did not mean the higher ups had to adjust their schedule. Collateral damage during missions seemed to her to be entirely a non-issue.

"And you know that mosquito-looking speeder to belong to a known drug cartel?" she asked, shaking her head.

Eying her brother, the petite Lupine said nothing for a moment. Yes, something was different about him. But what? She knew that the auflaque pretty much neglected him. Why continue to invest time in someone after you betrayed a sister and made sure he was ensnared in your claws? Especially with her brother's foolish insistence on not leaving.

But that alone could not be it. He'd been left mostly to his own devices before that as well. Could it perhaps have to do with one of those missions he was supposed to tell her about? Alwine sincerely hoped so. The sight of Gerwald more relaxed and free made his sister proud and joyful in return. She just hoped the reasons for it were equally joyful as well.

"You oaf, you know I cannot drive," she answered as she moved to hop on the speeder behind him, "should I utter a prayer to the gods that know how to do this properly and we are not about to become a mural on an unsuspecting building's wall?"

"Just call it a hunch okay," Gerwald said as he started the motor.

He did not know of course, but that was the story he was going to stick with if anyone questioned him about the new speeder. At any rate he was likely to crash it before getting back on his ship, and not because he could not drive, but because missions always went sideways. Ger figured if he approached every mission with that in mind, it wouldn't surprise him when they did.

"We have finally found something I can do that you cannot? What about flying? Has anyone taught you how to fly a ship yet?

The questions was perfect because of what Gerwald planned to do, but for now he would keep that to himself. He was certain of the answer before it left her mouth. If she couldn't drive she could not fly. The assumption was a safe one.

There was little time to waste. The two needed to make to the Red Rock base. Reving the motor, Ger shifted the bike into gear and the sped off. A loud whoop left his mouth as he pushed the bike as fast as it would go. Alwine was going to be thankful he did not leave his hair loose on missions otherwise it would have been batting her in the face.

Several minutes was all it took by bike to reach the outskirts of the base. Ger parked the bike out of site and just smirked toward his sister.

"It seems your prayers worked, but you did not need them."

He loved to tease her, though it was time for them to be serious. Ger handed Alwine a set of macrobinoculars and pointed toward the base.

"Tell me what you see. I'm heading around back.

A hunch. Certainly. She understood. Even if they had been doing something she considered wrong, Alwine would lie through her teeth and make everyone absolutely believe her if it was to protect her brother. Any of her brothers. When it came to their wellbeing and safety, there were a very few lines that Alwine would not be willing to cross, even if on any other normal day she wouldn't even think to consider crossing them. Gerwald, Varick, and Alwine. Those three would always come first, no matter what.

His goading of them finding something that she could not do while he can caused her to smack the back of his shoulder in physical retaliation.

"I can…" she mumbled, "I can order an AI to fly the ship. It is how I have been traveling recently. Mostly short trips, other than the one to Coruscant, that I made alone."

It was a silly thing. She had been excited with the prospect of seeing the galaxy's capital planet, and she had been overwhelmed at simply seeing the skylines when the ship she'd borrowed from the Knights Obsidian had docked. But… But she had been unable to bring herself to leave the ship. Alwine had simply sat in the cockpit and stared, and after a while, turned to head back to Confederate space.

Of course, the AI had then malfunctioned and Alwine had ended up in the Unknown Territories, but that was another story for another time.

The moment the speeder launched forward, a small wolf-yelp escaped Alwine's throat, and her arms immediately went around Gerwald's waist, holding on for dear life. She did not know how it felt like, sitting in front and controlling the vehicle, but in the back, she was pretty much moving her lips in silent prayers that nothing would happen, for it felt like death could arrive with great haste any moment now. The thought of her brother's hair never even once passed through her mind.

Once they arrived, she could not get off the speeder quickly enough. "I needed them! You drive like a monster on spice!" she shot back at Gerwald as she clutched her stomach, willing it to settle down.

Within moments, macrobinoculars were in her hands, and her brother was gone around the back.

Alwine sighed looking ahead of her.

Five guards at the front door, she sent to Gerwald via telepathy. There was no need to rely on technology when the Force did a much better job, three more on the roof. I cannot see through the windows. All guards appear to be large humanoids or near-humans… Around your height, wider. Concealed weapons include various firearms. Don't do anything stupid, Gerwald.

She could fly? Then Alwine explained how she flew, and Gerwald started to laugh.

"That is not flying," he said through deep throated laughter. "We need to teach you how to fly properly, without the auto-pilot."

Gerwald made a note to himself they were going to have to rectify that when all of this was over. For now they needed to be focused on the mission at hand. Of course the whoop ALwine let out made Gerwald press the speed of the bike even more than he had to. He could only laugh as her reply as she got off the speeder and seemed to still be searching for her legs. Yes, ger drove like a maniac, but that was purely for her.

He could feel her sigh almost through the force. They were deeply connected. It was her voice that came more clear once he made his way around the back.

"I see the guards on the roof, and another two at the door back here. That makes what... ten in total. You want the five in the front, and I'll get the two here and on the roof?"

That plan required Gerwald to move first, which he did despite Awline telling him not to do anything stupid. They needed in the house, and the needed to not alert anyone as to what they were doing. Gerwald pounced. The two guards at the door would not have seen him coming at all. His lightsaber was quick, and his cuts precise. Two bodies lay headless where they had once stood, and without any warning or ceremony, Gerwald was on the roof. He moved swift, hoping Alwine could see him and was already moving to take out the guards in the front.

Oaf! Alwine shot through the Force as she realized Gerwald had made a move before she'd had a breath to reply. What if a few moments worth of thinking would have given them a better plan?

Shaking her head, Alwine took Wind Whisper, a weapon that had been gifted to her by none other than the very first friend she had made within the Confederacy – Maple Harte. It was a monster with multiple purposes all shoved into one, one of them being the ability to shoot seven blaster shots at reduced sound and visibility.

The Lupine took a breath as she crouched and carefully aimed. Having split the enemy halfway with Gerwald, that left her five goons to take down, and she already knew her seven shots would not be enough for that. They were probably wearing armor beneath their clothes, so… If she was lucky, she could take one or two down before the actually melee began, assuming they would not shoot at her.

Alwine had every intention on taking her time. One good shot fired was better than all seven wasted. Presently, she'd chosen the goon that was nearest to the door, trying to aim her little lightsaber-pistol between his eyes. There was no armor there, and his size would not protect him. Silently, she pulled her focus in, relying on the Force to guide her in the very manner that Caid had taught her, even though that had been for melee and not for ranged attacks, but the process was all the same.

It was perhaps thirty seconds later that she finally shot – and nailed it. He dropped to the ground almost immediately. The bad part? It left her with four more to deal with. Alwine fired another shot, but this one hit one of their armors and had no effect. Twirling the weapon, the pistol retracted and out came her Knight Obsidian sword.

Unlike usually, Alwine ignited the sword's shield as well, blocking three blaster shots that had been sent her way as he approached them.

The petite laughed. She was a tiny thing, standing at a full 5"0 when she was standing straight. Each of the men there had at least two feet on her, some three. And tiny as she was, she moved quickly between them, her sword slashing and hacking while the giant shield kept her safe from those who were shooting.

Within moments, two more goons were down, leaving her with a total of two more that had to get taken care of.

Deactivating the shield, Alwine let the sword drop as she launched forward. Tiny, but deadly. Arms and legs shot out as she ferociously attacked the fourth, not realizing that the fifth had come behind her.

The warning sent through the Force came in too late for her to respond – As his blunt weapon connected with the back of her head, Alwine saw darkness, and was conscious no more.

Gerwald felt the attack through the force, more like he felt Alwine's absence. While he could sense her through the force, the mental connection went missing. Enraged, Gerwald quickly dispatched the men on the room, tossing one of them off the entire structure to the ground below. Using his saber, Gerwald cut a large hole into the room and descended into the base. He kept himself locked onto Alwine's force signature. The base was large, and he had no idea where they would take her, but Gerwald would find her.

He cursed under his breath knowing that he should have listened to Alwine and make a plan. However, he had seen her take out several guards before with great ease. Five should not have been an issue for someone of her skill and speed.

The corridor was cold, and Gerwald could hear voices. He had to hide, but there was no door near. It was then he was spotted. Sighing, Ger used the force to pick up one of the guards patrolling the hall and knocked him into the other one. Both were out cold with nowhere to hide them.

"You certainly did it again, Gerwald Lechner," he said to himself. "Rushing in head first, no plan, just kicking doors in. Alwine is going to kill you when you find her."

Gerwald decided to head north. It was not likely they would keep her far from ground level unless they went underground. Basement facilities were harder to escape from than rooftops.

Her two weapons had been taken from her as her body was so easily picked up and carried over the shoulders of a goon. The unconscious Lupine would have easily snapped their necks had she been awake for the process, but that was not currently to be.

It could have been minutes. It could have been hours. But eventually, chocolate brown eyes opened up, and everything around her was blurry.

She could feel that she was lying down, yet when she attempted to roll to her side, Alwine realized that she was strapped down. Each limb separately. There was no hope of even shifting in her current position in order to get out of that predicament. As her sight slowly returned to her, she attempted to focus on one of the bars that locked her right hand to the table, but… No Force?

Alwine growled. No ability to shift, no access to the Force now either. For a moment, she managed to turn the laser beam that the armor she wore provided her with, yet she was too immobile to be able to put it to any good use, and it was only by pure luck that she managed to turn it off as well.

"Perhaps we should have taken your armor as well," Alwine heard a voice purr in the darkness. Her gaze moved to where it was moving from, but even though her sight had fully returned to her, she could not see who the speaker was.

"You would be happy to know that your brother is in the building as well… Executor Alwine Hilde Lechner. We have been waiting for a chance to get one of you for a loooooong time…."

The sound of nails coming down a blackboard were sound. Lupine ears were sensitives; they were horrible with too loud noises, but this was not loud; this was a sound designed to tear even normal human ears apart.

Alwine screamed.

Gerwald knew he had to find his sister, but the complex was huge. As he made his way to the basement, Gerwald could only wonder what kind of things they would do to his sister, or who these people were. The facility was like a maze, and as Gerwald wandered about he had to avoid guards and sentries.

The air was cold, except for one place. As Gerwald neared the direction he could feel the heat coming from, he heard a scream. It was Alwine, he knew it. His head began to race as he suddenly felt her pain. It was his fault she was there, and Ger would do anything to her back. He ran toward the door and blasted a wave of force energy at it.

“Leave her alone,” Gerwald said as he busted into the room.

She was not there. All Gerwald found were monitors showing her hooked up to machines and equipment.

“WHERE IS SHE!?”

Was she even in the basement?

There were no windows to the room Alwine was in, no little hole in the wall or ceiling that she could peer through to estimate how much above or below ground she was. Not that it would have mattered; as Alwine lay there on the table, recovering from the pain in her ears, pain that refused to subside quickly enough, such were not the thoughts running through her head. Instead she writhed upon the bed, a moan of pain escaping from her lips.

She did not like this. Not at all.

Through the residing pain, Alwine could hear footsteps now. Soft footsteps. She could swear there were dampers on that woman's feet; no creature she knew walked as softly and made so little sound while moving. Not even the swish of fabric could she hear.

Trying to move upon the table, the Lupine wanted to see. Her eyes were uncovered, but it seemed like no direction she cast her gaze to could give her the frame of the owner of that female voice.

"So skittish," she laughed now, "I thought wolves had more patience than that. Or could it be that you do not know how you shall attack me?"

Alwine stilled as she considered the words. No. She didn't know; but she knew it was going to happen. One way or another, the person who was speaking with her was going to die and it was going to be violently.

"When you were a prisoner on Stewjon," the voice resumed, "you did what you could not to change into a wolf. But now… Now I must put in a request, little girl. Shift for me."

Alwine shook her head. No. She was not going to shift. Not at the request of a stranger, not when it could potentially mean that she would lose limbs as they were still wrapped so tightly. And never, never by anyone's demand. She was Alwine Lechner and she would no-

Alwine screamed as this time, it was electricity that coursed through her body, her body buckling on the table, trying to break free of it.

Gerwald could not stay in the room for long, the temperature in the basement was rising, but also shifting. It would be just as easy to follow the heat to its source. How they could have moved them so far apart in such a short amount of time was beyond him, but they had, and it worried Gerwald. What if he could not find her in time. His instinct told him to follow the heat to its source, but every door Gerwald tried was locked. No matter what he tried there was no opening the doors.

That's when Gerwald saw a tunnel at the end of the corridor. He had only one choice. Gerwald had to follow the tunnel to its end.

He rushed to the end of the tunnel, and as he ran through it something was clear, it was not a man made cavern. He should have sniffed it out sooner, but the panic in losing his sister had dulled other senses. He had no idea how he was going to fight the worm that he was now facing. The first thing he was going to do was try and run through and under the worm. Igniting his lightsaber, Gerwald ran under the worm and sliced it open. Blood and guts poured from the beast which seemed to be squirming around. Certain he did not have to go this way again, Gerwald collapsed the ceiling, crushing the remains with a cave in. It was drain of his energy using the force, but he was well on his way to finding Alwine again.

Stairs... at least they seemed promising.

"I said, shift for me!" the woman said again, her voice not rising, but deepening. It was an order. It was an order that was sent down to her very bones. Alwine screamed as the electricity coursed through her body again, her wolf demanding to come out. No, not to do as the woman wanted, but so the wolf could sink its jaws into the woman's neck and rip it apart.

She could hear her own heavy breathing inside her ears. The pain was horrible. She had never been electrocuted before. To bone breaking, to fire, to losing her nails – those were things she knew from too similar a situation. The electricity… That was new. And Alwine feared to the depths of her soul that she would not manage to hold on for long enough, would not make it to the end of whatever this was meant to be before she would shift against her will for the second time in her life.

But instead of another ride on the electricity, the woman seemed to pause.

"What is this?!" she asked, and the entire room seemed to still with her. Alwine turned her head, trying to see what was going on, but as before, the room was silent and unmoving, and she could see nothing.

The screams that echoed around Gerwald when the ceiling collapsed were enough to cause harm to even human ears. For a moment it seemed as though they would last forever, yet eventually they began to subside, and smoke curled around in the few feet in front of him. The sensation that filled the hallway was dark, foreboding, almost thick enough to choke on. It came with dark blue and purple tendrils of smoke that joined the dark sensation, only making way moments later.

When the smoke subsided, a woman was standing there. Her violet gaze focused on the Lupine before her, and her expressed showed just how unamused she was.

"You killed my pet," she accused him, her voice like water turning into ice, "and gave it an improper burial," came another accusation. "I had every intention of releasing your sister once she gave me what I wanted. I suppose… This means I will not. And I shall take you too. Now be a good little wolf and shift for me, there is a cage for your size only two rooms away."

Relationship Status: It's Complicated
Gerwald looked at the woman who seemed to come out of nowhere. She accused him of killing her pet, but it was what else she said that had his attention.

Sister.

A low growl came deep from within Gerwald's throat. It was not human, and it was the only hint of a change the woman was going to get.

"I don't do cages, alfuque," Gerwald said to the woman as his lightsaber remained ignited. "And I am certainly as hell not going to change for you. How about this... you let my sister go, and I won't kill you?"

It was worth a try to see what she was going to say. Gerwald took his pose and refused to flinch. His blade was at the ready and his senses were wide open.

"That is unless you're scared."

The violet eyed woman rolled her eyes. It was overly clear that she was unimpressed by the Lupine's taunt, nor moved by his insult. If anything, she looked more bored and displeased at once.

"Your kind always claimed as such," she sighed, "and yet where does that stubbornness come from? That unwillingness to contribute to science? That insistence on solving everything with brute force?"

With the wave of her hand, the Force seemed to gather around in large volumes with no visible effort, and from the tips of her fingers came the Dark Side Web, flinging forth to capture the little wolf.

In the room she'd been trapped in, Alwine was entirely unaware of what was happening or even whether it was happening nearby or far away. All she knew was that the pain had now subsided, the woman disappearing from the chamber.

Every instinct inside of her petite body screamed at her to get out of there. Yet without the Force, she was reduced to simply a small figured woman who could change into a wolf, though shifting now would be a bad idea.

Biting her lip, Alwine began to pull on the bonds that held her arms. They refused to budge, and she was uncertain which metal they were made of. She continued to pull. The pain began to build in her wrists, at first simply nagging, but then slowly increasing as she felt her skin rip and tear. Her own blood and sweat were strong in her nose, the Lupine metasmelling sense kicking in full gear, her wolf still begging to come out.

It felt like an eternity before enough blood was out, her wrists burning now. But the blood served as the lubrication she needed, and her hand at last slid out of their bonds, the open wounds gaping and swelling. It would hurt a lot more before there'd be anything she could do about it.

Getting her legs out was easier now that her hands were free, though they received the same ordeal, skin ripping and bleeding beneath her boots, her boots ruined.

Limping and cursing at the pain, Alwine began to make her way for the door.
