Strengths:

• Jenruax crystals – The unique properties of the crystals, when used in a lightsaber aided in the agility of the lightsaber, making it easier for the wielder to block blaster fire.
• Removable Shoto – The lightsaber, even though set up like a dual bladed saber is actually two sabers in one, a full saber and a shotosaber that can be removed and used independently from each other if needed.
• Bifurcating cyclical-ignition – This lightsaber can be used underwater.
• Songsteel hilt – the external portion of the hilt is crafted with Songsteel, making it less vulnerable to lightsaber or blaster strikes.

Weaknesses:

• Single blade ignition – When combined, only one blade can be ignited at a time
• EMP risk – The lightsaber is not hardened against EMP or disruption and can be temporarily disabled by them.
• Cortosis – If the blades strike Cortosis/weave they will short out and become useless for a time.

DESCRIPTION

Once named “Grimoire” and “Silence” when he was a Sith, Kirwin reconstructed his sabers (renaming them “Redemption”) to better work as a defense than an offense. As an experiment, he proceeded in combining his shotosaber with his lightsaber to craft a sort of saberstaff, but he was never able to correctly meld the two together and have them ignite at the same time. But they can be swapped between each other should the need arise. The use of the lightsaber form Tràkata would turn this type of blade into a very formidable weapon. The hilts of the main lightsaber and shotosaber, however, set up with a quick disconnect as the shoto is set within the extended hilt of the primary saber. Once separate the two can work independently of each other to create a better defense/offense (depending on their fighting style) for oneself.
