Redmond Geller
Triggerman
OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
- Intent: Provide Redmond Geller with a base armor platform suited to his needs
- Image Source: I made it in Blender myself. Assets belong to Respawn and 343 Industries
- Canon Link: N/A
- Permissions: N/A
- Primary Source:https://www.starwarsrp.net/threads/sith-imperial-stormnight-armor.113516/ (Redmond has more or less frankensteined his old suit into this)
- Manufacturer: Redmond Geller
- Affiliation: Redmond Geller
- Market Status: Closed-Market
- Model: N/A
- Modularity: Yes, extremely. Given it is more a bodysuit than a full armor system, one could feasibly layer additional armor over the suit. Magnetized plating in the back allows for the attachment of additional equipment such as jetpacks, additional ordinance, or other mission-specific equipment. Webbing and other more conventional modification is also easily done allowing for the wearer to carry essentially whatever they feel is needed.
- Production: The scale is Unique
- Material: Various materials. Reflec-Duraplast plates, Glasteel Visor, Duranium Vambraces, Anti-EMP/Ion Liner fiber weave, ceramic plating.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
- Classification: Multipurpose.
- Weight: Light
- Resistances:
- Energy: Very High
- Kinetic: Very High
- Lightsabers: Low How much protection does the armor provide against this type of damage?
- Other: Average vs Temperature/EMP/Ion
- Magnitized plating inserts on the back of the suit allow for storage and quick retrieval.
- Given its size and adherence to Redmond’s form, one could feasibly use the suit as an underlayer for existing, heavier suits of armor. In theory.
- The use of various common armor materials across the material has allowed it a higher than average resistance to blaster and kinetic weaponry. It is by no means beskar, but a slugthrower round or blaster bolt to the chest or two won’t spell instant doom the way they otherwise would. It’d still hurt quite a bit though. This level of protection comes from the components scavenged from his Stormnight armor.
- Close quarters weaponry, particularly the bladed variety, will not pierce the suit without repeated and great effort.
- Its lightweight construction provides the wearer with a high amount of dexterity and mobility.
- Outside of the vambraces, which can take glancing blows from lightsabers, the suit is almost entirely vulnerable to lightsabers
- The suit offers little in the way of shock absorption, it may not be breached by kinetic impacts, and the results may not be (usually) be fatal, but they will certainly cause damage, use of heavy blunt-force weapons all but nullifies any protective value.
A storied suit built from the corpse of Redmond’s Sith Stormnight Armor, its evolution into its current form came thanks to the patronage of the Cross Syndicate, who helped finance the conversion of what remained of the armor into the bodysuit it is now. Designed to protect its wearer on the most intensive of his assignments in the underworld, emphasis has been placed on protection against those weapons most common in the galactic underworld. Lightweight and easily modified, while it certainly can take a beating, the mobility it affords is by far its most appealing aspect.
