Refining the design that Sasori initially had, Krass one of the jedi quartermasters sought to make everything more available in the field. For different jedi who could face any number of situations. The duel emitter system was the answer with a broader deflection emitter that makes the blade better able to deflect blaster bolts to a fencing emitter that refines the blade and focuses it for better control and cutting power when it is being used. They have worked to improve upon the initial design and create these refined not not perrfected models which with enough feedback and information should be able to drastically make the next models better.
