Regarding SW bewks

Hey there everyone! I have a question I'd like to ask regarding the Star Wars books, novels etcetera if anyone is willing to help me. I'd appreciate it! Here goes.

I've obviously watched all the films; I have knowledge and an understanding in certain parts of the history that weren't entirely detailed in them either, such as the story of Darth Plagueis and Palatine and stuff. What I'd like to do is expand that knowledge a little further, and ask if anyone would have any recommendations on which kind of books to begin with? I was thinking of starting on Darth Plagueis' but not sure if starting on another would be more recommendable. Any thoughts?

With the old EU, I loved the X-Wing series, and then jumped to the New Jedi Order, Fate of the Jedi, Legacy stuff.

X-Wing is a great bit of Forcer and Non Forcer story telling.

I'd honestly be lucky if I found any Star Wars books that I could read properly at home. All I can really suggest is rampaging the absolute literary out of your local library and second-hand bookstore.

Haha I know the feeling. Tried to look today in a couple of shops but only had graphic novels and I didn't wanna buy something that could have been like halfway through a story :/
