OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
The 'Regenetech' armor type is a dark green and rough-bark brown in appearance. The still-living veshok wood allows durable protection against most kinetic and some energy weaponry, designed for prolonged and constant combat. Additional thick layers of L. ferra gives it a rough and barky exterior, tough and durable. Below the bark exterior, Chyme reservoir pools and streams through the Bloody Lace, swirling around within the armor to regenerate and repair as necessary. There are layers and layers of plating, with thick barky exterior plating covering thinner standard plating. These plates are large but semi-flexible, the membranes connecting the armor allowing for increased movement despite its weight. While it doesn't 'consume' armor integrity, the armor does require some in reserve in order to continue operating - it is self-propelled, to an extent. This armor type is considered 'heavy' for Sylva Vitae, as its regenerative capabilities are complemented by its very thick armor and massive reservoir. For those accustomed to standard galaxy-wide heavy armor, this material is very heavy by comparison, but its regenerative capability allows it to retain functionality well beyond the lifespan of standard armor types.
As an estimation, where standard 'heavy armor' may weigh no more than 30-50 lbs, a similar armor set of Regenetech may weigh anywhere from 70-95 lbs.
- Intent: To craft an armor type, adapting current-gen Sylva Vitae biotech

- Canon Link: N/A
- Permissions: N/A
- Primary Sources: F. conexias, L. ferra, V. sanguinea, 'Waterthreads', 'Chyme', 'Slimfit' (all SWRPC)
- Manufacturer: Sylva Praesidia, through Sylva Vitae
- Affiliation: Jack Sandrow, Sylva Vitae and all subsidiaries
- Market Status: Closed-Market
- Model: 'Regenetech' - Series: SPSV-J3.3.0
- Modularity: Yes
- Can be adapted to be body armor, vehicle armor, or starship armor
- Production: Limited
- Materials:
- Exterior armor platings are made of still-living L. ferra wood
- Connective tissues holding the armor plating together are comprised of F. conexias threads
- Regenerative and restorative nutrients are contained within a layer of Chyme that acts as a fluid layer within the armor
- Waterthreads act as 'smart' fluid, stiffening in response to physical stress to allow rapid energy dispersal, while still permitting freedom of movement
- Inner channels are supplemented by 'Bloody Lace' mycelium to increase composition integrity
- Classification: Self-repairing multi-purpose heavy armor
- Weight: Very Heavy
- Resistances:
- Energy: Very High
- Kinetic: Very High
- Lightsabers: Very Low
- Sonic: Average
- EMP/ION: Average
- Elemental: High
- The regenerative properties of SV biotech extend to this armor as well - any damage can be repaired with enough time and nutrients. The built-in Chyme reservoirs allow plenty of regenerative capabilities in the field without any source of nutrients, enough to fully regenerate missing patches of armor.
- Self-repairing biotech, this armor can be shoved into the dirt to fix itself, and within a few hours can be fully restored and repaired.
- Compatible with SV biotech
- Noticeable Force presence
- Nigh invisible to standard tech detection
- Naturally grown biotech is durable against EMP, ion, and sonic attacks
- The thickest version of SV armor allows for the use of Waterthreads and Bloody Lace, increasing Kinetic and Energy resistances
- Regenerative properties allow out of combat restoration of armor within minutes
- Full 100% regeneration takes a set time:
- 1% of armor integrity per minute
- Has a total of 500% of 'armor health' in reserve to repair
- Full 100% regeneration takes a set time:
- Compatibility with SV biotech makes it very useful for various configurations
- SV biotech has an unmistakable Force presence
- This armor is still mostly vulnerable to lightsabers, due to its organic design and lack of additional protection.
- Regenerative properties have a limit; starting at 100% integrity with 500% in reserve, once this is depleted, the armor cannot self-repair until it is replenished with a SV-compatible nutrient source
- Even as 'heavy armor', the armor's weight is still significantly above standard technology-based 'heavy armor', and propels itself to a limited degree as a result.
- If the reserves run out, the armor cannot function, as it has no power to move itself.
