- Both cannons are mounted on the dorsal and ventral hull, along the spinal ridge parallel with one another.
- A ring of Scutum flak guns encircles the cannon base.
- Each cannon can swivel 360° and vertically tilt from a flat 0° to a steep 70°, though neither can tilt down past that 0° angle.
- Fire control is located on an external command tower attached to the rear of the cannon and is visually similar to command bridges found on most star destroyers, with recessed data pits, a single walkway, and geometric glasteel viewports comprising the majority of its features.
- When firing, the superlaser cannon locks onto a target and produces a small tracer beam that bridges the gap between weapon and target. High-density energy pulses are fired along this tracer beam to violently combust whenever coming into contact with an appropriately sized object.
- The energy produced by the superlaser cannons are generated with Isotope-5, further harnessed and focused through Amaranth Crystals into an even more powerful form.
- This energy is channeled along conduits within the ship's interior before being collected in an energy basin, where a portion is then siphoned off every time one of the two cannons fire.
- Powerful Superlaser: The Regrush'sutta harnessed great destructive potential in the form of a highly concentrated beam of energy capable of causing widespread damage against both starships and ground locations. With enough sustained fire, the cannon had the potential of destroying most anything that was caught in its path.
- Command Tower: Though protected by anti-starfighter guns, multiple layers of shielding, and a thick hull, the firing control module for the cannons could still be destroyed which would render the gun inoperable until control could be rerouted to another point.
When the Behemoth dreadnought was damaged during the Battle of Csilla, it returned to the world of Jaemus to undergo repair. There, the Dark Lord of the Sith convened with the brightest minds in the Empire to discuss improvements that could be made to avert the near disaster that had taken the Emperor's flagship out of action. What they had collectively proposed to the Emperor was designated as Regrush'sutta, otherwise known as the Oblivion Spear in Basic.
Rather than having the weapon's firing mechanism fixed to a point on the ship, thus requiring the entire ship to move in order to fire, they instead opted for a flexible mount that could swivel and tilt the gun in a wide range of directions. Before, the superlaser fired a single highly concentrated laser that would explode on impact with an object large enough to halt its momentum. This time, the superlaser would fire a small almost inconsequential tracer beam that would be used as the vector by which stronger more destructive energy pulses would travel towards the target and explode when they reached the end of the beam.
Previously, the superlaser had used kyber crystals to focus and enhance the Isotope-5 energy generated by the dreadnought. This time, the kyber crystals were replaced by Amaranth crystals, which could generate twenty times more energy output than conventional energy like plasma. This not only made the energy launched from the cannon more destructive but also seeped with the power of the Dark Side of the Force.
In the end, the newly dubbed Behemoth II would possess two of these powerful weapons. One would be mounted on the dorsal spine while the other would be located directly beneath it on the ventral hull, each cannon connected to one another by an energy channel that met in the middle as a large collection basin, where the focused energy would be stored after it traveled through the power generators situated through the ship.
