A career NCO, he has been aboard several dozen warships in various capacities, he was injured in an incident aboard a ship he was aboard, unfortunately, his eye was unable to be replaced due to his immune system rejecting a cybernetic replacement, precluding him from assignment aboard a warship. From there he was assigned as an instructor, and has been doing the role ever since.
