SPECIAL FEATURES
- Pearl of the Sea (Main crystal) - A personal pearl used in the construction of the Lightsaber that enhances Reina's aquatic based skills and force powers
- Winds of Change - With the crystal installed in the saber, Reina also gains the benefits from it such as enhanced speed and more of an affinity with wind based force powers. Alongside this, it also has the ability to absorb Force Lightning, which can then be used in Electric Judgement
- Unique Hilt - With Reina's dreams of being like a Knight from the stories she was told, the saber hilt was built with a crossguard alongside a flared pommel
- Kunda Lens - Thanks to the lens installed, the lightsaber can more easily deflect blaster bolts directed towards the user
- Ion Emitter - Because of Reina's dislike towards droids, she made sure to install an Ion Emitter in her lightsaber to be better equipped to deal with them
- Dual-Phase - This little addition allows Reina to switch the length of her lightsaber between it's default size to a larger size
- A Hand...and a half-ful: Thanks to the design that Reina has went with, the lightsaber can be easily wielded with either one hand or two hands. She uses this in combination with the Dual-Phase settings, with her using it in one hand for the regular length and using two hands when it is in the larger setting
- A Song as strong as steel: With the hilt being created from Songsteel, the lightsaber and it's crossguard is able to stand up to strikes from a lightsaber
- No Dimetris-circuit - With these specific circuits, Reina's lightsaber is far more resistant to attacks from Cortosis blades
- Water? No problem! - Thanks to the Bifurcating Cyclical Ignition Pulse, Pequod is able to be used under water much to Reina's pleasure
- EMPs?! Blast it!: With all of these features, Pequod is still hopelessly defenseless when it comes to defending against an EMP blast.
- Why Nullify? : Whilst there are plenty of neat little features thanks to the crystals, force nullification can turn Pequod into just a standard lightsaber
- Ow. Points hurt: With the addition of a metallic crossguard, Pequod can be potentially unwieldy to some users who are used to a regular lightsaber design.
Reina had wanted a lightsaber of her own. It had been obvious to her that she'd need a weapon to replace her harpoon eventually. And so after fishing up her own ultima-pearl, the woman had thrown herself into the archives, into various different datapads and instructional videos on how to make such a weapon. Of course this would have been easier under the guidance of someone who had already built one but alas she was not that patient.
With that being said, the woman also took inspiration from the old tales she had been told of Knights. Using that inspiration to come up with the hilt design, Reina worked hard on finding the materials to use before practising. Day and night she went over the motions of making the lightsaber before committing to it fully. After a stressful period, with the constant fear at the back of her mind that she'd blow her hands off, the practice had paid off. Her own lightsaber. And like any good weapon, it needed a name. Reina was now the proud wielder of Pequod. In it's standard setting, the blade is a dazzling silver.
