PERSONALITY:
Reiner is a cold, calculating man who is as tactful as he is ruthless. He believes the galaxy is a chaotic beast, needing to be reined in under the thumb of a greater order. This is driving factor in his political leanings, which are heavily imperialistic at their core. Many of his political rivals have a strong distaste for the man, but will often work with him because of his effectiveness. The man always gets results, one way or another.
APPEARANCE:
With a quiet, yet imposing demeanor, Reiner is a rather intimidating man. His gaunt angular features and militaristic attitude emanate with a sinister air, leading many to not trust him. He is almost always seen in his military uniform, despite the fact that he pivoted to politics many years ago. Overall, though he is more subtle in his approach to others, Reiner is still considered to be one of the most dangerous men within Alliance Space.
BIOGRAPHY:
The childhood of Reiner was largely a mundane one. He came from humble beginnings, and had little in the way of achievements to his name. Having grown bored with his simple life, he signed up for the military, hoping to find some new purpose among the stars. While serving the Alliance, Reiner had achieved several key victories in the war against the Sith, climbing through the ranks as he continued to leave his mark on the galaxy. Despite these achievements, Reiner once again found himself wanting more out of life. His ambitions grew, and he quickly set his mind on politics.
Returning to his home a hero, Reiner was greeted by his people with open arms. They saw him as a major factor in the defeat of the Sith, and he began to leverage that support in an effort to become the senator of Aphran IV. He won by a landslide, having an incredible amount of support from the populace. He quickly began to establish himself in the Senate, hoping to see his own plans eventually come to fruition.
As the years went on, Reiner became disillusioned with Alliance politics, and when anti-Imperial sentiments reached their precipice, he decided to resign. He continued to do what he could to push his agenda from the sidelines, but soon realized that, so long as he was under the thumb of the Galactic Alliance, his vision of a galaxy of order would never be realized.
When the Dark Empire made their presence known with a surprising strike on Teta, Reiner made a play that would change the trajectory of his career forever. Working with a few trusted individuals, Reiner took the Alliance fleet by surprise when his ship began firing on his former comrades, cementing his defection to the Dark Empire. Now he serves them in an effort to finally realize his dream of galactic order.
