- Well-Defended: The Rejuvenator has multi-layered shields along with an advanced anti-concussion field, which provide with excellent passive protection.
- Hospital Ship: The Rejuvenator is a small but full-fledge hospital ship, capable of fully treating most injuries and diseases thanks to its automated medical staff and advanced medical technology.
- Lightly armed: The Rejuvenator has only a handful of light weapons designed more to drive off lone raiders and spacefaring beasts than any real combat potential.
- Specialized: The Rejuvenator is a one-trick pony - it is a highly capable hospital ship - but is difficult to use for almost anything else.
The Rejuvenator-class Medical Corvette is among one of the smallest, fully dedicated hospital ships that can be found within the galaxy. Designed primarily to respond to disasters and widespread civilian mass casualty events during the Bryn'adul invasion of the galaxy, the Rejuvenator is designed primarily to treat trauma patients quickly and efficiently before discharging them to less acute settings - ideally back to their home. To that end, the ship has a single medical bay that effectively acts as both an acute care and mobile surgical operating theatre. Staffed by a number of advanced medical droids and stocked with some of the more advanced medical technology on the market, the Rejuvenator is capable of remarkable turnaround thanks to its careful inline patient flow: patients are all automatically run through the bioscan upon entry into the ship, before the most seriously injured are immediately moved to MedSurge Capsules to put into stasis and/or treated with bacta. Surgical droids can then directly operate on the patients through the MedSurge capsules. Because each capsule comes with its own robotic appendages, it's even possible for the onboard Medicus droids to perform multiple surgeries on different patients simultaneously. While Rejuvenators do have medical supplies to deal with a little bit of everything, by stock factory issue, they tend to focus slightly more on fitting cybernetic replacements to patients - almost a necessity where bacta isn't enough to fully fix a patient. As a vessel itself, the Rejuvenator is fairly pedestrian. Aside from a focus on heavy shielding, initially thought necessary due to the Bryn'adul's genocidial policies and lack of following galactic societal norms, the Rejuvenator is well known for its extremely low armament and lackluster maneuverability. These traits make the Rejuvenator a fairly poor combatant, and this combined with the valuable medical technology found onboard mean that most ships are found with dedicated combat escorts.
