Remastered duel between Obi Wan and Vader

Not perfect, but I imagine this is something akin to what Lucas would have wanted had the Vader suit not been so unwieldy during that time. Thanks for sharing this.

In the original, Obi-Wan pretty much held his own against Vader in the lame duel as it were the actor's limit as to what he could do. But nevertheless it showed the old man still could fend off Vader and it lead to a kind of stalemate before Obi Wan sacrificed himself for the sake of empowering Luke.
The new rework could have been better and more in tune with the original if the new additions didn't have Vader toss about old Ben like a rag doll. The new scene clearly was biased on Vader to show what a Powerhouse he is. It was clearly no longer a stalemate as the original showed.
I think they should have had old Ben give Vader a good run, much like Dooku (old man) did against two, even three jedi, Obi-wan, Anakin, and Yoda before Obi-Wan gave in to Vader.
Old Ben was robbed in this new scene.

The World Eater
This is perhaps the best Star Wars work from a fan I have seen in a while. Even beating the Vader Fan Film. This is what I always imagined while I appreciate and love the classic I feel it did both characters well. Obi-Wan's strong defensive style of Soresu held perfectly well, while Vader shown how far he had come in his own style of lightsaber combat in a way continuing that of the prequels, Rebels and Rogue One. While some would say that Kenobi was robbed, as a master of Form III he held his own against Vader's brutal style of Form III finally showing how far the two masters of lightsaber combat had evolved since their duel on Mustafar 20 years prior.
While the original version provides in universe reasoning that made the duel interesting to me, this rework is a masterpiece clearly showing the prowess of the two duelists, showing what each one had up their sleeve, not to mention the emotion that this duel carried over from that of Mustafar, how Vader gave into his desire for revenge constantly trying to batter down Obi-Wan's defenses reminiscint of their positons during their duel on Mustafar with Vader on offense and Kenobi on defense. Showing Kenobi's age and his struggle in the duel while also showing, the brutality and cybernetic strength Vader held over Obi-Wan.
This video in my opinion is what I always wanted to see from Vader and Obi-Wan after seeing their awesome duel on Mustafar. 10/10 I consider this canon in my book. Giving me vibes of Vader vs Ahsoka and more importantly a call back to Mustafar, containing epic skills provided by the two iconic characters that we all know and love!!
