Edric Vanyan
The Historian King
On board the Skyfall, Flagship of the Imperium Navy
Edric stood before the others assembled, doing his duty as the King of Kesh, even if the planet had fallen. Millions had died, including his own father. Business built up over decades cast down in days, homes lived in for centuries, everything the Keshiri had built up had been torn down. The Artifacts and the people had been salvaged though, large scale evacuations having spared a great many but those who had remained behind to fight were most certainly gone now. Some would still be in hiding, still fighting on the planet and waiting for the time to return. The Secret networks and caves throughout the planet made it impossible to wipe out the entire people... but that was something for another day.
For now, the peoples of the Imperium made way to a world that would support them, a world that would house them and one connected to the former leader of the Imperium before his death. That was their destination but before even that could happen, those who died needed to be laid to rest and that was what the fleet would be doing. The Remnants of the fleet holding services, memorials, and on the flagship itself a dedication and promise to those who had died was being erected, a wall of the ship holding the number of people lost, no names, just the number as Edric stared.
He sighed, wondering if something could have been done to change this outcome, but knowing that such creatures would find their deaths eventually. They would strike at the wrong group and when they did they would fall apart. He could only hope that such an event would occur sooner than later before too many more joined the dead.
