Reminder: Thread Tracker

Just a general reminder for everyone to make sure if they haven't done so yet to add their threads to the Promotion Thread Tracker.

The OS staff are always looking for opportunities to promote characters, so keep those trackers current, guys!

There is not an official NFU thread tracker. However I admit there should be.

However NFU promotions do work a lot different. Essentially having an NFU tracker would help in a faction like the OS when NFU rank goes through an approval process.

For example it would be a lot easier to get Rev to sign off on a promotion to General or Admiral if there is a NFU tracker to display an appropriate level of character experience for such a position.

Quick suggestion.

That thread tracker post is cluttered with many, many different peoples thread trackers.

Why not make a separate forum where everyone can post their own and its not cluttered? Each person has their own thread for their own tracker. Makes it easier to find, and easier to keep track of.

I like the idea, but I'm not a huge fan of adding another forum to the navigation.

You do have a point about it being cluttered! Perhaps we could clean it up in some other way.

Maybe we archive the old one and start a new one with all our current members?

Make a sub forum then.

Back in the CIS they had a sub forum for thread trackers, and honestly it was sooo much better for the member base.

Easier for them to link the thread trackers (only a month ago did o learn how to link posts) and again, so much easier for them to find.

The ease of use for the members far out weights another option on the forum bar.

All I am going to say is if you do archive the current tracker to restart please let people know a week or so in advance so they can at least copy their tracker to a notepad or something.

Ferus has a point, or just require it kept on the bio, and link to the tracker thread. This accomplishes three things.

1. Ensures no one without a bio is getting promoted
2. Unclutters the tracker
3. Marries what we have with what Ferus is suggesting without adding navigation

Good suggestions guys. I didn't notice the clutter because I usually just use "CTRL + F" to search the character's name.

But we'll see if we can implement something more streamline at some point.
