As part of the Stars of Hope initiative, Starchaser Enterprises is introducing the Remora fast transport. Inspired by blockade runners of the past, the Remora is designed to get where its going fast. Without weapons, these vessels can fall prey to those looking for them, however, those parties would need to catch this vessel. Designed around shields, speed, and countermeasures, the Remora will break away from most pursuers.
Crews wait on several Starchaser Enterprises repair yards for calls. When a call from a Sojourner is received, they are loaded up and the ship uses the most updated maps, and a modified hyperdrive, the vessel moves in the most direct route to the ship in distress. The Sojourner, or a Pathfinder frigate will remain with the distressed vessel until the Remora performs its transfer of fuel. In the case of settlements, the Remora moves in, touches down, and delivers its payload.
The Remora is designed to fulfill a support role for explorers.
