Public Reprisal {Character Introduction}

The clanking of metal could be heard as a Twi-Lek with blue skin and ragged clothes was flung across an alleyway and into some trash bins. His face was bruised and his nose bleed like a firework as he nervously clutched a small pocket knife to his chest. A dark silhouette approached his flowing hair and crimson scarf the bane of all things and in his case thieves. Instinctively the Twi-Lek threw a bottle at the figure only for him to swat it away breaking it into a million shattered pieces. In his desperation, the Twi-Lek charged at the dark figure his blade drawn and aimed at his neck. He saw the man's arm move and then everything went black for only a moment.

He regained his sight and with it, stinging pain in his lower jaw, Forcing himself to look up the Twi-Lek found the man was now standing over him his fists clenched and his eyes burning with fury. He had heard of one like this...Kaiden Rien they call him. He's the bane of all underworld thugs, He hunts criminals wherever they are found and he beats the stuffing out of them no questions asked. Some say he's a bounty hunter yet none who have tried to hire him succeeded.

"Now....you can go back and pay the money you owe the waitress..." Kaiden popped his knuckles earning a twitch from the Twi-Lek. "Or I can take the money from you by force." The Twi-Lek grimaced realizing he wasn't getting out of the situation. "Are you i-insane?! You chased me for fifteen blocks with a pipe wrench and a bill because I dined and dashed at a restaurant you don't even work at?!" Pulling the pipe wrench out of his satchel Kaiden attempted to explain the situation. "Well, I was working on some old guys speeder when you ran out of the restaurant with a waitress behind you. I knew what was going on so I...Err...chased you down." The Twi-Lek made a face. "I was on a speeder how did you keep up?!" "That's Raxus traffic for you!" Picking the Twi-Lek up by his collar Kaiden fed him his next meal...Fist alfredo. "Next time you dine and dash don't do it during rush hour."

Exiting the alley Kaiden slipped the twenty credits into his pocket. Kaiden knew how suspicious he looked which pressured him to make haste before anyone called the cops. He had been sidetracked long enough it was about time he got back to his real mission.

"Once I find you...I'm coming...Brother."

Brium Tallistor

I came here to chew shebs.
Brium yawned, digging in his utility canister for Kashykk tree nuts. Chewing loudly, perched atop of a slow-ambling holographic advertisement cruise, he pulled out his macrobinoculars, watching the shakedown from afar.

"Real good use of your energy there, partner." He said sarcastically, watching Kaiden Rien fling the schleemobag around. He pulled out his holopad, scrawling something in his notes and sending a recon message back to his ship. A hefty 40,000 credits was riding on this little project, and Brium wasn't going to half-ass it.

"So I've found you, but where's your brother?" He said to himself, leaping from the cruiser onto a rooftop to continue tailing the aloof vigilante.

Now a good distance away from the alleyway, Kaiden took the opportunity to have a quick snack before the journey ahead. He reached into his shirt pocket and began eating a food bar he had saved. He was all too happy to get some food in his stomach as he paced down the now dimly lit Raxus road golden light coating the sky in an all too familiar color. Kaiden didn't know how to feel about his past not with all those bittersweet memories anyway. He couldn't find anywhere to place all of his feelings, not his family, and not his self.

He tried not to associate his past with anguish but his rage was simply too much to ignore. It broke Kaiden's heart that his brother drifted away but it also enraged him...all he did that night...

Nothing can make that right...

There was a tremor in the wind a reverberation and shook his bones and crawled up his spine like a spider with needles for legs. When he was younger, Kaiden attributed this feeling he often got to a sixth sense a sort of survival instinct, But after his last encounter with Eiron...he can't ignore that he posses something...more.

Spinning on his heel Kaiden scanned the street behind him his eyes searching every possible crevice yet finding nothing. "I know you're there! If you're here to fight...Then fight me like a man!" In truth, Kaiden was unaware of any potential danger he only sought to bluff his way out of a potentially dangerous situation. His fists were now clenched and angled in front of his chest in a defensive stance.

"If your coming...Then come on!"

"You're ridiculous, you know. Beating on that noodle head for being dirt poor. I was gonna keep my distance until you brought me to Sith boy, but I have to ask, what's the beef?" Brium said, revealing himself atop a lightpost above Kaiden.

"Killed your family? Took your lady? Ate your lunch...?" He knew he was prodding the fellow, so he kept his distance and made sure his detonator pack was primed, as well as his blaster.

To his surprise, a man armored to the teeth descended from the rooftops seemingly answering his request to show himself. Kaiden had a plethora of questions, ones that would be glossed over as soon as the man began berating him for his previous dealings. "Hey! That may have been ridiculous but it's also extreme! If that guy was so dirt poor why'd did he have the money to pay the bill in his pocket?" Even he had enough brains to logic that one out and it didn't take many brain cells to figure out what this guy meant by...Sith boy.

Eiron...He's after Eiron! And he plans on using Kaiden to get him there! "Now listen here! Eiron is MY brother! I'll handle him! You have no right to get in my way!" He's spent years looking for his brother, looking for someone to pin his pain and rage on. To Kaiden, Eiron wasn't just his brother but someone so important that he can't bear to let him exist any longer...not after what he did...not after what happened. And to think that Kaiden saw the two of them growing up together HA! What a fool's dream, to think that life just stops for a person's convenience.

Eiron chose his path and fully intends to follow it faithfully to the end. If Eiron's going to fulfill his duty then so must Kaiden, even if it means losing his own morals.

"My brother killed my family, yet only one of us died." Kaiden widened his stance a cocky grin plastered on his face. Safety be damned he wasn't about to let some guy steal his kill. "If anyone gonna kill my brother... it's me!"

"I think you need some anger management classes and a new hobby, my friend." Brium leapt from the top of the lightpost, landing in the street below. He took a couple steps up to Kaiden, making a shrugging gesture.

"The fact of the matter is, I could have just followed you all the way there and taken you both out when the time is right. But I reckon, since your good ol' brother has such a high bounty and quite a few kills under his belt since mom and daddy dearest, a joint-effort might be more appropriate. No offense, but darksiders tap in to the Force to become stronger. We have a better chance at taking him on together, and we can even split the share."

Brium took his mask off and smiled jovially, his other hand priming his blaster to kill in case things went south. "If not, I can always make you tell me where he is."

Kaiden was seething, BEYOND seething he finally had his shot at his brother, and then this...guy comes out of the woodwork to try and steal it from him. No way he'd come too far, seen and done too much to just let the chance slip through his fingers all because some guy wanted to get paid. His foot dug into the dirt ready to send him bolting forward only to be halted by the sudden hissing of a blaster primed and ready. Other than Eiron's Lightsaber Kaiden carried no weapons none that would keep him from getting shot anyway. He was no Jedi and he sure as hell didn't know how to reflect blaster fire which meant that while this guy was at a distance Kaiden was beat.

Begrudgingly Kaiden lowered his stance and unclenched his fists hoping that whoever this guy was got the message. His voice went flat and had a serious tone about it. "I don't know where my brother is, and I'm not in it for the share you can have it for all I care. What I want is JUSTICE and If you want to help me get it I won't argue." Kaiden clenched his fists. "But when the moment comes I get to finish it you get me. It's that look I'm after. The look of regret in his eyes as he realizes that he was wrong and that I have come to remind him of that fact."

Admittedly his sentiment was a tad grim for his liking but it was the only way he could think of getting his point across.
