Strength: Between 80 - 156 soldiers (150 being a full strength unit and 6 officers)
Description: Heavy weapons team are the Republic’s speciality force used to build defences and defeat enemy emplacements. Well-equipped and trained for battle they serve on every republic battle field and planet, protecting the rights and freedoms of the republic. Be they natural born citizen or clone they wear standard issue Republic Combat Armor with unit colors and insignias to note rank and station on the battlefield. Standard main and sidearm are the Z-6 chaingun or Republic varient and T-600C Blaster Pistol respectively.
Each unit is broken out into (5) platoons, with each platoon consisting of (3) squads of ten men and women. Each squad is led by a sergeant which report to a lieutenant who commands the platoon. Each lieutenant reports to a Captain or Major depending on size and age of the unit and this officer commands the unit as a whole.
Specialist:
- Each squad is assigned a medic and they make up one of the ten total troopers.
- Each squad is assigned up to 3 SDW 9000 per squad and 1 HB-1RML - portable guided/u... for anti armor / installation missions
Units are deployed from either Drive Class Dropship, RIV-1 Drop Pods or Liberty Class Troop Transport Assault Walker
