TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

  • Classification: Multipurpose
  • Weight: Average
  • Resistances:
    • Energy: High
    • Kinetic: Very High
    • Lightsabers: Average
    • Other:
      • Sonic: Very Low
      • EMP: None
      • Elemental: High
      • Blast: Average

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Anti-concussion Field (Linked Above): Essentially this is a short-range deflector shield that operates a bubble around the wearer similarly to how it would a ship.
  • Field Reactive Lighting: Lighting components react to field conditions and can adjust their thermal output based on the need of the wearer. Color also can be varies based on the environment.
  • Filtration System: Basic environmental filtration systems to filter out toxins.

STRENGTHS
  • High Blaster Resistance: Armorweave and Tikulini hide are highly blaster resistant.
  • Very High Kinetic Resistance: The presence of the Laminanium armor and the anti-concussion field make the armor very resistant to kinetic strikes, including slicing attacks.
  • High Elemental Resistance: In terms of survivability, the armor is equipped with a filtration system to filter out toxins and environmental hazards which allows the wearer to fit into their surroundings, no matter what type of environment.
  • Average Lightsaber Resistance: Most armors provide essentially no resistance to lightsabers other than being a physical barrier that the weapon's wielder has to strike through. This armor provides an average level of resistance to glancing blows and slices.

WEAKNESSES
  • No EMP Protection: The system does not have shielding for its electrical components against the effects of EMP strikes, meaning the filtration system and the anti-concussion field can be taken down with such measures.
  • Very Low Sonic Protection: Has basically the same sonic protection as standard clothing.
  • Resistant, not Proof: Everything it is listed as resistant to can beat it with enough effort being made. Everything has its limits, meaning that the advantages this armor has will not hold out forever under direct attack of those advantages. You can't tank a battle. You still have to fight smart.

DESCRIPTION
Several years ago the Republic Remnant was a major galactic government situated on the planet Ciomia and encompassing Teth and Nadiem, plus several other worlds. After some time, the Republic vacated these worlds and moved towards the core, leaving behind quite a few people. Among the loyalists were a great many of the Rangers, the Republic's elite fighting unit. The armor they wore at the time was effective, but battlefields were changing and so the CFRS, or Confederacy of Former Republic States, decided to do something about.

In a secret lab built underneath of the Dawnracer manor on Nadiem, scientists and technicians worked on a new breed of armor that would provide their elite defenders with protection befitting their status and capabilities. They went through numerous iterations, coming out with a prototype armor that they were relatively satisfied with, but needed to be battle-tested to determine final capabilities. Before this could commence, they created roughly one hundred suits. However, the CFRS fell apart with numerous members leaving or throwing their lot in with other groups and the research facility was abandoned.

Upon return to Nadiem a few years later, Ever returned to the research facility to find the armor still there. The battle testing, under the authority of the Republic-in-Exile, is set to commence with the impending invasion by the Bryn'adul. Whether the armor can withstand the toughest rigors of battle must be seen.
