[SIZE=9pt]DESCRIPTION: [/SIZE][SIZE=9pt]The SWSS was designed by Hekler’Kok to be an effective sniper rifle for use by the Republic’s special operation forces. Like with all of the SW weapon line the first thing they needed to decide on was the cartridge that the weapon would use. While a lighter cartridge like the 6.8x43 or the 7.62x51mm was originally thought of it was found that they didn’t have the range nor the stopping power. Finally the cartridge they decided on was the 8.6x70mm cartridge. The 8.6x70mm was originally to be an anti-materiel round and suited its new role great in both muzzle velocity and stopping power. [SIZE=9pt]Like before the same materials were chosen to make up the SWSS. Lightweight High-Impact Polymer was used for its shell due to its low weight and ruggedness. Hekler’Kok’s Titanium-Alusteel Alloy was chosen for the same aspects as the polymer as well as its heat tolerance. Cold Hammer Forged Quadanium Steel was chosen for the barrel to reduce muzzle climb and the inside was coated in Chromium to reduce wear and tear on the barrel. [/SIZE]

[SIZE=9pt]The final step was adding the tactical features to the weapon just like all the others and just like all the others the features were pretty standard throughout. Top, bottom and side mounted tactical rails for optics, accessories and grips/bipods, respectively. Ambidextrous magazine and bolt releases, charging handles and safeties were added so the weapon can be used comfortably by a right or left handed shooter. The rifles barrel was threaded to attach a suppressor for stealthy operation and a flared magwell for easier magazine insertion. [/SIZE]
