Restricted Materials Dev Threads

So I was thinking a fun angle for this character would be to help people complete restricted materials dev threads, or do them with intent to sell them on.
Since actual money isn’t regulated here, these materials are items of worth I could use to get into trouble with and meet interesting and dangerous people.

The ones I’m interested in acquiring for a price are:

• Cortosis
• Laminanium
• Neuranium
• Cloaking Device
• Songsteel
• Ultrachrome

Anyone interested?

Laminanium is probably the easiest one to do.


Create an NPC.

Write about that NPC interacting with your character from the NPC's point of view.


Requires only yourself and is fairly easy to do.

Where did you have in mind for cortosis?

I'm also looking at the personal cloaking device one as an option. Sounds kind of fun, same with neuranium.

Pssh. Easier? What's the fun in easy?

If we want to do cortosis, we have a few options. There are two potential planets I see that no major faction owns: Bal'demnic and Obredaan. They've both had a history of being strip-mined by offworld corps, and they both have natives that probably haven't taken too kindly to it. We could always play freedom fighter and enlist them to help us blow up and loot some corporate haulers. Or we could try to play them, set up a weapons deal in exchange for the cortosis and just grab the goods and run. Or we could ignore them and steal the stuff on our own.

We could also probably set up a mining operation, but kriff me that's boring. Let's shoot things.

Because ultrachrome you only have to be stuck in a hostile environment with 2 other people who you are not familiar with and survive. That's why it's easier and It doesn't have to be a specific planet

I'm down if you both are we just need a planet to start. Would Echidna work for both of you? It's a Vong home world so that seems pretty hostile.
