They had finally done it.

They had finally perfected the old Resurgent-class Star Destroyer to once again become a symbol of the First Order and to strike fear within its enemies once again. Over 800 years ago the ship had been one of the main ships of the Order when they were at their height in that era, before the dark times. With the proven success of the Imperial X-class Star Destroyer that Graf himself also helped develop, and now the First Order was commissioning bigger and badder starships, specifically ones that could command and coordinate their ever increasing number of starfleets.

Gathering the materials had been an easy venture, but actually paying for the construction and technology had been a right pain in the arse. In total the financial aspect of the Order had estimated that the ship would cost billions of credits to construct, crew, and maintain the dreadnought, and losing one of these colossal command ships would be devastating to the treasury, spending billions on a floating hunk of blasted durasteel. But it was all worth it, this command ship would the centerpiece of every single fleet in the Order, Tanomas was sure of it.

And so after arduous months of construction, refitting, and crewing, the new Resurgent-class Star Destroyer prototype was ready to be toured and given a field test with all of the brass there to give their greenlight to begin production of the class and deployment into the main arsenal of the First Order's Navy. Commodore Graf was set in stone as the naval commander responsible for testing the ship that day, as he was the one who helped develop the majority of the ship they saw today.

Hundreds of turbolasers gleamed in the light coming from the nearby star of the unidentified system the secret shipyard was in, the durasteel hull stretched on for exactly 2,900 meters in a dagger shape until it ended at the bow. Tanomas stood aboard the bridge as crewmen worked at their stations for the first time and technicians rushed past to put on the finishing touches before it would undock and prepare for the test.

Before that though, they would be expecting high-ranked officials and middle/low-ranked members alike of the order to be arriving in shuttles, which would have to pass through the swarms of TIE fighters that were currently in a parade formation circling around the ship. This would be a day long remembered, the pinnacle of First Order technology was ready.

RIP Carlyle Rausgeber

"It's all been bloody marvellous..."
"Mary, Mother of Vader, dontcha look at 'at!" The sensor technician called as the Vindicator flew from lightspeed. The bulking hulk of the newly constructed Resurgent-class star destroyer loomed at them.

"It's a beauty." Captain Carlyle Rausgeber admitted.

"You should start schmoozing then sir." One of the bridge officers called with a chuckle.

"You know it lieutenant," he replied with a wry grin, "One day you'll work from on of those boys!" he said, pointing at the ship after turning and addressing his crew. "Just have to work our arses off first."

"Sir, shall we alert the Commodore to our arrival?" Comms asked.

"Of course, alert him that Battlegroup Imperator has arrived."

"Of course sir. Resurgent, this is Battlegroup Imperator, we have arrived and await orders for deployment."

CT-47B looked out from the window, having been temporarily assigned guard duty on the bridge as part of his role aboard the Vindicator.
"What a ship." Said the white clad Stormtrooper, looking out of place among the officers he was there to protect. He considered taking off his helmet for a better look, but decided that even a single glorious peek at the Order's unrivalled naval might personified, was not worth the reprimand that might come with it as punishment for the removal of his armour.

The First Order had been updating their Navy for some time.

Dozens of ships were being constructed by the corporations underneath the First Order's watchful gaze. His own included. His company saw no use in the construction of this new, refurbished, Resurgent. It was no matter, Vitiate's expertise would be known throughout the Galaxy. He still had plans to put forth, especially with the new member of his company's board, Avedia Lacroix, but she was busy with work, presumably.

Silver and black lightsabre on his belt, he closed his eyes as his shuttle continued to travel through hyperspace.

There's nothing in the Order for you, come home, lead.

His lips twitched at the memory. His mother's words. The answer had been no, and then he had gotten word of the reveal of this ship. He had made good time all the way from the Unknown Regions.

The Upsilon came out of hyperspace. The parade formations of the TIE Fighters in clear vision of the sensors, yet he saw none of it.

"Bring us in," he said to the pilot. He spoke lowly, but the Force carried his words to the ears of his pilots, as if they were leaves collected in the palm of the wind and pushed along gently.

As his pilots flew the shuttle through the TIE formation, they were transmitting clearance codes to get onto the ship. Refuelling and all that. He wasn't sure what to expect when he got onto the ship.
