It had been too long since Caedyn Arenais had last visited the Outer Rim World of Svivren, or the Jedi Enclave for that matter. The Enclave was a peaceful respite from the busied Galaxy of the Core Worlds, surrounded by green life, forestry and beautiful nature that did well to hide the Enclave from the skies above. It had formerly been an Enclave utilized by the Jedi of the Old Republic in Caedyn's father's younger years, and then handed to the Je'daii Order until Caedyn had reformed it as a primary location of learning for the Jedi some years ago in his service to the Outer Planets Alliance, The Jedi Coalition and then the Rimward Trade League.

Today the Jedi Knight's service was based out of Coruscant, the very heart of the Galaxy, which housed an enormous population of people compared to the near-silent world of Svivren. The Repertoire provided a wonderful view of the green planet's endless plains, hills and nature as Caedyn piloted it towards the Enclave's known coordinates. He had recently been in correspondence with a number of Force Users seeking to further his knowledge and specialization in the Force. His years of service as a Jedi could be categorised as akin to a Jedi Guardian's path if one were to simplify his service record, however, the Jedi Knight sought further development in his wish to understand and accurately follow his calling, the Will of the Force.

Elias Edo Elias Edo was to be the Jedi whom Caedyn would meet with today, with the intention of seeing his old friend Tiland Kortun Tiland Kortun in the following days to come. It was a wonderful opportunity to return to the Enclave and see how the Jedi had managed since his departure, no longer the active Steward of the Temple. It held a special place in his heart, for it represented not only his service as a Jedi, but also his origins as a Je'daii Padawan and Journeyer.

Touching down on the exterior of the Enclave grounds, Caedyn set the Reportoire down within an open clearing and instructed his droid co-pilot Lexas to remain on board until informed otherwise. There was no risk to the vessel in Caedyn's mind, however, he also wasn't certain how long his stay would last and wanted to be flexible in his plans over the coming week. Taking leave of the Ship, adorning his favorite Jedi Apparel, the Jedi Knight made his approach to the Enclaves main entrance, curious to see what familiar faces remained on Svivren since his time, if any; And looking forward to meeting Elias Edo after their brief discussion over static transmissions.

Elias drew in a deep breath of morning air. The sweet scent of flowers in bloom, the distant laughter of Padawans training, and the humbling lack of overhead speeder traffic were all the things that made Svivren one of Elias' favorite Jedi enclaves. Dagobah felt like home, and very little could compare to his oceanic homeworld of Genetia, but Svivren... it came quite close. He completely understood why his new acquaintance was so eager to return here. As Elias understood it, Caedyn Arenais was once the keeper of the enclave, having restored it to its present state and leaving it in the hands of the Outer Rim's Lightsiders. Curating a community of Jedi is a noble task, one that Elias had done once before, himself. The New Jedi enclave on Bogano was his Svivren.

Elias stepped across the grassy field, arms spread wide to welcome a new friend to an old home.

"Caedyn, it's so good to see you!" the dreadlocked Genetian said with the gusto of a family friend. He was quite a familiar man, preferring to see fellow Jedi as brothers and sisters of the Force than strangers. He held out a hand for the Knight to shake, a wide smile on his face.

"It's a pleasure, my friend."

"Master Edo, I presume?".

Caedyn Arenais met the man, extending his arm to shake the hand of the Force Master, his left hand placed upon Elias' shoulder in a firm and genuine greeting. The Master's familiarity was welcome, as Caedyn would have liked to see more Jedi greet one another as a family rather than maintaining the often distanced-feeling formalities back on Coruscant.

"Thank you kindly for agreeing to meet with me" Caedyn spoke with sincere appreciation, assuming that Elias was like many of their Jedi Brothers and Sisters, being busy with their many responsibilities and duties within the Outer Rim Territories. "It brings me great pleasure to return to the Enclave here after so many years" he added, turning his attention to the Enclave grounds with a fond smile at the memories that flooded to mind.

"The Outer Rim Territories appear to be faring well thanks to the Rimward Trade League's efforts. How do you find your service out here these days?" Caedyn inquired, curious to know how much things might have improved since his time with the RTL. The Jedi Knight was also interested to know how many had remained on Svivren or with the Trade League, what their numbers were nowadays and what threats still remained outside of the everyday criminal activity that could be found in most if not all parts of the Galaxy. It was however safe to say that the Outer Rim had once been an entirely lawless expanse where criminality had been left to flourish before the arrival of the Outer Rim Coalition, The Outer Planets Alliance and finally the Rimward Trade League.

"One in the same," Elias said warmly, shaking Caedyn's hand. He followed the man's gaze, taking in the sights of the enclave for himself as they stood amidst the gorgeous landscape. It really was the embodiment of what the Jedi Coalition sought to preserve; A peaceful, mindful existence for all Lightsiders among the stars.

"The Outer Rim Territories appear to be faring well thanks to the Rimward Trade League's efforts. How do you find your service out here these days?"

"Busy," he said, "but in a good way."

"The Outer Rim is so large, so untamed. There're great swaths of space we've yet to explore, and, as I'm learning more and more, the Jedi were once quite prevalent in the region thousands of years ago." His mind immediately settled on the necropolis he explored not long ago, with his friend Valery Noble Valery Noble and several other Lightsiders. The work of a Rimward Jedi seemed to very much revolve around exploring the remnants of ancient Jedi. Discovering sites of importance, recovering lost relics, chronicling their history.

It was an infinitely noble cause, and one that he hoped would one day allow the Jedi to exist as a people instead of a movement.

"The Coalition is fortunate to have such freedom to explore and cultivate as we do. The League is a secular state, you know. They prefer to tend to their own interests, and we ours, though there has been overlap, of course. With the Sith Order to the west, we've taken a sort of advisory role."

"I'd heard rumours of the Sith Order being present in the Outer Rim Territories but nothing conclusive until now" Caedyn replied, a slight crease to his brows as he considered what that could mean for the Rimward Trade League; "The Brotherhood of the Maw has recently been defeated in the Northern Territories, and I wondered what had become of the Sith who had refused to join them. Like you said, the Outer Rim is expansive and open, concealing many worlds that could be perfect hiding for the Order. I hope they haven't been causing you any trouble" the Jedi Knight concluded, voicing a wish to hear that they had become isolated in themselves, rather than lashing out at the systems around them.

Nothing he had just heard had come as a shock at all; Caedyn had recently been discussing with another, his view on the Bendu and the fact that there would always be a presence of the Sith in the Galaxy. As long as there were Jedi. It was a large part of what had led Caedyn to venture out in the hope of learning more about the Force, and what it was asking of sentient life in the Galaxy today.

"Exploring lost worlds sounds like a real adventure though" the Jedi Knight smiled at the idea. What secrets were hidden out there on worlds rarely travelled? "You must have come across some amazing sights in your travels, yeah?" he asked optimistically, the two talking as they made their way further into the Enclave grounds.

"This Coalition you mentioned, that's not the same one that I helped to form, is it?" Caedyn asked, thinking of the Jedi Alliance Coalition from years back. Svivren had been where he was based at the time, but his hope on that particular project had been to create a link between all Jedi Organizations that were present in the Galaxy. He was a younger, more ambitious man back in those days.

Elias smirked. "It's nothing we can't handle, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned. They're growing bolder by the day. We faced them recently, on Ossus," he said, his eyes downcast as they approached the enclave proper. The Sith recently raided the Praxeum on Ossus, stealing countless artifacts and Jedi records as a message to the NJO. Elias and a few others from the Coalition traveled to help with the defense, but the Sith had the upperhand long before they arrived. Their mission quickly evolved into search and rescue, paired with grabbing any Jedi relics they could save.

"Exploring lost worlds sounds like a real adventure though" the Jedi Knight smiled at the idea. What secrets were hidden out there on worlds rarely travelled? "You must have come across some amazing sights in your travels, yeah?"

At least there was that, Elias thought to himself. The discoveries made by the RJC and their allies in the Rim had been numerous thus far, and while not every one was of considerable significance, he felt their results were just the beginning of a new age of Jedi enlightenment.

"A great many already, my friend," he said. "Most recently, one of our allies discovered an entire world that was lost to us. A necropolis of massive size, containing dozens of burial crypts, archives, and other chambers. It might very well be the largest Jedi structure I've ever seen, shy of the Coruscanti temple," he marveled.

"It might very well be the largest Jedi structure I've ever seen, shy of the Coruscanti temple,"

"How fascinating" Caedyn exclaimed quietly, his eyes upon Elias Edo Elias Edo with great intrigue, "What came of the artifacts within this Necropolis? Was it of a Force practising culture in origin? Were there signs of history relating to the Jedi or of the Sith?" Caedyn asked soon after, finding that he needed to keep himself from asking anything further.

Such discoveries could unravel many questions unanswered by the Jedi and Caedyn himself. Questions that he had about the Force and how it was translated over the years to be understood by the greatest of minds known today. Seers and Mystics who could read into the Will of the Force with far greater precision than the average Jedi practitioner. Caedyn wished to learn more about such abilities so that he himself could decipher the many paradoxes of the Jedi, as Tiland Kortun Tiland Kortun had referred to his current dilemma.

"The Outer Rim still holds unimaginable potential for such mysteries to be discovered..." Caedyn spoke, though it would be difficult to tell if he was simply reminding himself or speaking to Elias on the matter. The Jedi Knight soon glanced back to his fellow Jedi however, reaffirming his attention to the discussion at hand.

"Does the Rimward Coalition know why the Sith Order is suddenly so interested in the Outer Rim Territories after all these years?" He soon asked, curious to hear whether they might have been led to the Rim by a specific objective or if it were simply to remain farther out of reach from their enemies.

Elias chuckled at his new friend's enthusiasm. Admittedly, exploration of the necropolis was moving rather slow... but perhaps Caedyn would enjoy the wealth of potential discoveries more.

"Burial chambers make up the majority of what we've unearthed thus far, second only to the large chamber we've dubbed the 'Reliquary' on account of the carved motifs that adorn its walls. We've setup a camp of sorts inside, just off from the courtyard where our supply ships make landfall." He much preferred to discuss matters of Jedi history rather than the onset of yet another conflict with the Sith... but if there's one thing Jedi history has made clear, it's that ignoring the faults of the past can only doom the present with repetition.

"We'd like to believe it's a distraction of sorts. Maintain the illusion of being too far away to be a threat while they scheme and plot against the Alliance. Even considering Ossus, and before then their suspected involvement on Sullust, the Sith Order has been suspiciously quiet on the western front."

It was troubling, not knowing what they're planning. But discerning the plots of your enemy is immensely difficult when they never actually strike against you. Sullust appeared to be a one-off experiment, and Ossus was a message for the New Jedi. Where the Coalition would find its inevitable clash, Elias could not say. In the interim, though, it seemed the Coalition Council was keener on helping those who call League Space home.

That, and unearthing ancient Jedi ruins.

Even considering Ossus, and before then their suspected involvement on Sullust, the Sith Order has been suspiciously quiet on the western front."

"Yes, I did consider the possibility myself" Caedyn echoed his agreement. It had seemed a long way for the Sith to traverse across the Galaxy, from the northern territories of the galactic charts to the vast south. The Outer Rim Territories were large yet sparse with the same authority as the rest of the Galaxy. Lawless and wild did indeed seem fitting for the Sith Order to stay out of sight and mind of the Senate and the New Jedi Order.

"Burial chambers make up the majority of what we've unearthed thus far, second only to the large chamber we've dubbed the 'Reliquary' on account of the carved motifs that adorn its walls. We've setup a camp of sorts inside, just off from the courtyard where our supply ships make landfall."

"I imagine there is still a great deal we have yet to discover in the Outer Rim Territories" Caedyn referred to the matter of the burial chambers, considering what could still be found in their excavations of the structure. "Is there still a lot of work to be done, excavating these ruins you speak of?".

It had been a long time since the Jedi Knight had last worked with the Rimward Trade League. He imagined that much of the coalition of Force Users would be similar to that which he had last experienced. Though perhaps in greater numbers. Caedyn still thought kindly of the Trade League. It had found a great deal of success since starting out as a family hauling business, now a widely recognized body of influence in the Galaxy.

"I would be interested to know more about the Jedi Coalition" Caedyn added, "Is it simply Jedi or other force-practising groups, and who stands to lead them? I might still know some of the members who remained with the Rimward Trade League when I left the Outer Rim Territories".

"A great deal of work remains to be done," Elias said with a nod. "Entire sections of the city have yet to be explored, let alone mapped and catalogued." It would take months, years even to fully excavate and study the city. But it would be time well spent. Already, thoughts of establishing a small praxeum in the Reliquary have passed through the halls on Dagobah. Learners and research are eager to discover new secrets, just as much as the Vanguard are frothing at the prospect of dangerous beasts lurking deep beneath the stone streets.

To Caedyn's new line of questions, Elias smiled proudly.

"The Coalition is a bit of both, really. Our Council seeks to provide a learning environment that both emphasizes the many Force traditions that comprise our numbers, but one that also offers a standard of Force practice that is universal for Padawans who come to us from neutral backgrounds."

In practice, things were a bit more difficult to navigate, but there had not been an infighting among the Force sects. Balancing so many varied traditions was tough work but enlightening all the same.

The Jedi Knight's smile and approval would be unmistakable, for what Elias Edo Elias Edo had spoken of, was very close to what Caedyn desired for all Force Users one day, perhaps a distant dream on a Galactic-Wide scale though. "That sounds wonderful. I would very much like to return and visit the Coalition. It has been some years since I last spent time with the Force Users of the Rimward Trade League. Is Aeshi Tillian Aeshi Tillian still active in the Outer Rim Territories?" Caedyn asked about the woman whom he had worked with briefly, and last he had heard, was the family responsible for founding the Rimward Trade League.

The Jedi Knight would turn his attention to their environment, silently considering all that stood before him. The Force had redirected Caedyn in his path as a member of the Jedi Order, yet more importantly as an individual and servant of the Force. It had brought him back to the Outer Rim, which would likely still have great need of that which Caedyn could offer. Perhaps the Coalition could point him in the right direction, to further impact the lives of those in need, and discover many new secrets of the Force among so many wild and uncharted worlds.

"She is, yes," Elias said with a nod. Aeshi Tillian Aeshi Tillian was a Councilor in the League, representing one of the region's free worlds. Elias hadn't met her personally yet, but he'd heard she was present during the raid on Kirdo III. She helped coordinate things from orbit, along with other League members.

"Aeshi's been indispensable. Running things behind-the-scenes so the boots on the ground have an easier time. You know how it goes," the Jedi said with a subtle laugh. He scratched at his beard, following Caedyn's gaze to the fields surrounding them. Things were changing, but at the same time they felt the same. Elias wondered if his newfound ally would make a return to the Outer Rim and join them in their plight.

"You know," he said, "there's always a need for good men like you, Caedyn. The Coalition, the Trade League - we could your help. Our doors will always be open."

He placed a hand on the man's shoulder and gave it a squeeze. Whether Caedyn would truly serve again, Elias couldn't tell. The future of the Outer Rim was so muddy and unpredictable, but amidst all the uncertainty, there was one thing he could count on: Caedyn Arenais was a friend, and that wouldn't change.
