Public Return of the Dawn

The massive Mon Calamari vessel dropped out of hyperspace at the edge of the Mon Cala system. It was the first time the vessel, recently renamed as the Herald of Dawn had returned to the star system it had been built in. It was the first time the ship had been seen in the galaxy itself in centuries. It had once born the heraldry of the Rebel Alliance in their drive to free the galaxy from tyranny of the Galactic Empire. Now, it bore different heraldry, and its purpose in the galaxy was far less noble. The vessel now served the Brotherhood of the New Dawn, with all one of its current members currently on board.

Acharon hoped to change that statistic in the coming hours.

Acharon sat on a small chair set in the center of the bridge. Some might call it a throne, though Acharon himself would rather not use the term. He had placed it in the center of the bridge so that he could oversee every aspect of the vessel he had committed to this coming endeavor, though the crewmen who worked all around him kept casting nervous glances at the Sith Lord. Most of the crew were mercenaries, rather than Ailaran officers from Ailara. Acharon had decided to separate his political and personal lives, in a sense, and while he detested mercenaries in almost every form, they would do for the time being. Acharon had instilled enough fear among their ranks already to keep them docile, and the hefty supply of credits filling their pockets kept the grumbling to a minimal.

"Let me know the minute they arrive, Captain." The simple order was issued to the man standing a few yards away from Acharon, and the grizzled officer simply nodded his head in response. Acharon had sent a message out to several individuals he hoped to recruit to the Brotherhood of the New Dawn, Jedi for the most part, but Sith among them as well. He would have to be careful when speaking to both parties, to begin laying the groundwork for future cooperation between the ideological enemies. He would have his work cut out for him for some time, but the end goal of a new generation of Sith, and an end to the cycle that consumed their kind for so long, was something Acharon could not so easily pass up.

He turned his attention to Alina Tremiru Alina Tremiru nearby, his eyes looking her up and down briefly before glancing back at all the information on the screens. He was doubtful she would seek to join the Brotherhood itself, but they shared the same vision of ending the cycle of the Sith, and he had offered her an invitation to take part in the start of that mission. That, and she was certainly much nicer to look at than the rough mercenaries all across the Herald of Dawn. "How many do you think will come?"

"Few, if any. This belief is one that will make them targets of other Sith once they're found out. Weakness it's what it'd be called. Having a mobile base is smart, better to avoid these Sith who want nothing more than to crush this belief." There was no reason not to be honest, especially with Darth Acharon Darth Acharon . He'd made for good company the last time they were together, and now he was overseeing the birth of a new order of Sith. She'd be lying if she didn't admit she was here in part to be around him, though.

"What do you think? Hope there'll be a lot of people to arrive?"

Of all the systems, in all the galaxy. Ala had to go flying into this one. Reality was she was drawn to the Mon Cal region of space. There was an unspeaking, unrelenting tug at her psyche that led her to this place. Whenever something spoke to her that way, the knight of the Ancient Rebuilt Jedi Order just had to follow. She was merely the leaf that blew in the winds of the Force.

The stars rescinded from their hyperspace maelstrom around Ala's standard Jedi starfighter and before her lay an ancient Mon Cal vessel. It was of a type that she was familiar with having served in the order not a few decades after the success of the Rebellion. She had seen one of these vessels scuttled near Sullust and being picked over for parts. She looked at her sensor read outs, and the ship transpoder gave the name Herald of the Dawn. She exhaled briefly through pinched lips as she studied the vessel.

"Herald of Dawn," Ala said, depressing the button on her comms console, "this is Jedi Knight, Ala Quin, requesting permission to land in starboard hangar."
