Return of the Sky people (Witches of Dathomir)

Not Ordo

Just under the upper hand.
The large shuttle broke through the clouds and searched for a solid clearing to land in. The hands of the pilot moved with precision of military training as the ship rotated and moved to a bare rock out cropping. The jungles teemed with life just below the canopy as the team moved to set the ship down.

Minutes passed and the large ship sat on its struts and lowered the boarding ramp. Theyhad left a satellite in orbit but now they were come to the surface to explore and take back with them a pair of Rancors if they could and whatever else of the dangerous world they could capture. Exotic creatures sold well and if they could find breeding pairs all the better.

Aran was the first out his tranquilizer rifle loaded with knockout darts and enough about his person to drop half a clan of mandos. More came for their own reasons.

"Alright stick together the women here mean business. If they catch you...you're done. Now move out."

Always finding a way to find trouble Minerva happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time again. To her it seemed like a good place to be as she watched a pair of Dathomiri interact with a rancor herd.

Being nine she was never to far from family. She just had simply wondered off a bit. A group of her kin were visiting the Singing Mountain Clan. She had heard some names at the village like [member="Satara Hawk"], [member="Kytarra Hawk"], [member="TiCira D'Arr Hawk"], [member="Curupira Hawk"], and [member="Anastasia Rade"]. That did not mean any of them where at the Singing Mountian Village or even if they seen the large transport landing in the juggle nearby. The village was not to far away when she seen a large ship fly overhead off in the distance.

She did not know why the ship was here but she did recognize it being a large transport. After all her mothers Dharma Vessia and Lady Exedō ruled a planet within the Lords of the Fringe Space. Why Minerva was on Dathomir? Because she was visiting her Grandmother [member="Lauda Cavataio"] again.

Curious to why the ship would just land in the jungle, Minerva began to wonder off in the direction of the transport that [member="Aran Ordo"] arrived upon.

Lauda had come to visit [member="Kytarra Hawk"]. Since the two represented Dathomir together, even in two opposite sides, coming to speak to her on issues seemed like an important part of their task. This time however, instead of coming along, she had brought her granddaughter [member="Minerva Vessia"] along. Who, whilst she was talking to some of the Witches had wandered off on her own. "Minerva!" She called out, looking for her. Business could wait for a few moments until she found her.

It wasn't like Lauda hadn't done this, wandered off on her own to discover things, however she was much older than Minerva was now. In that age, she always had some kind of company. If no Witch was with her, her mother's rancor was there at least at her side. Now, there were no rancors to keep company. Lauda would seriously need to look into this. For now, she had to find her granddaughter. "Minerva!" She called out once more, then caught sight of metal not to far.

If one believed they could land on Dathomir un-spotted, one was very much mistaken. As soon as the large metal ship had been visible from the sky above, the scouts began to murmur from one to the next, spreading words. Finally, one nearest to the village broke into a sprint and arrived to the Ma'tra, announcing the arrival of the ship.

"Return to your post. Inform the hunters on your way," Satara gave out the order and closed her eyes for a moment, summoning Nadie to her side. The ground began to shape a momment later, the large female rancor running to her side. She stopped though, at the very edge of the village, making Satara make the rest of the path on her own.

Purple lightsaber safely tucked to her belt, Satara climbed on to her rancor. "Come, ride. We have visitors." Nadie needed no more than that, turning around before she broke into another run, shaking the ground beneath her as she rushed ahead. With her large steps, it wouldn't long before the rancor came in visual of the visitors. The scouts merely passed along their messages in their own ways, spreading the rest of the news, while those closest to hunters summoned them.

He stopped quickly and dropped to a knee as he heard a voice call out in the trees. His tranquilizer rifle came to his shoulder as he scanned the dense brush and he could instantly tell why they said the place was dangerous. He could see only about 2 meters in front of his face and even thermographic vision yielded far less than he had hoped.

He didn't want to risk the trip so he listened carefully for movement as he slowly rose to a crouch and backed toward his ship.

Getting a little bit further into the juggle Mini came to realize something. There were just so many different bushes and other juggle type obstacles someone or something could be hiding behind. That and she had left the safety of two older witches and a herd of rancors. Her little body started to tighten up as she felt the anxiety of fear sweep over her.

It was a little more then just natural flight or fight base instincts. There was just something the way she felt the Winged Goddess was trying to tell her something ([member="Aran Ordo"]). It was a whole lot of something without understanding and she only being nine. She stopped frozen in place between the something and behind her the village of the Singing Mountain Clan. Part of her heard her Grandmother calling. [member="Lauda Cavataio"] voice was way off in the distance. Her Grandmother's voice sounded even further away as the pounding in her chest took precedence over every other nose around her.

That something was not to far ahead. She could not see it. She was also sure it could not see her. Maybe that was a good thing, the bushes that is. She could stay hidden right here. Though she was right in-between that something and her kin fast approaching from behind her. Leave it to Mini to find a bit of trouble.

From beyond the jungle would come the creak of broken twigs and underbrush. Heavy footfalls and the sound of claws scraping against rock would tell a forewarning of another arrival. It wasn't long before the shadows of the jungle parted, revealing the bony plated face, long fangs, and familiar flat nose of a ferocious beast.

A Rancor.

Only this one wasn't alone.

There mounted on top of this particular beast was a white haired woman. Cobalt paint would cake one side of her face, slashing perpendicular lines across it. In her hand she held a large malrass walking staff, highly decorated with feathers, bone, and polished stone held together by dried sinew. A Force pike was strapped to the back of the Rancor, and a large bow tied nearby at her right.
Milkywhite eyes would narrow upon the sky, only to widen slightly as thick accented "Dhey come."
