Chapter 5 : Return to Byss

FINAL DAWN
BYSS , DEEP CORE

Byss , a well known bastion of Imperialism in the Deep Core with historical ties greater then that of Bastion itself. Throughout recent history the World had found itself under various Imperial Regimes such as Shran's Imperial Remnant , the Frozen Hand and the Constitutional Authority of Beshqek ran by Marlon Sularen. Everytime these regimes fell a new one rose to fill the void. No matter how hard external forces such as the Galactic Alliance tried , Imperialism would always prevail in this Deep Core World and recent events were proof of this belief. Years after Sularen had been overthrown thanks to the efforts of the combined forces of Corellia and Duros and his Imperial Regime forcibly disbanded by the Alliance , Imperialism was rising back in popularity on Byss spearheaded by the efforts of none other then Kwets'hra'nuruodo better known as Shran , an old friend of Dorian Sevenar , the incumbent Director-Admiral of the Politorate who had once served under Shran within his Imperial Remnant shortly before splitting off to form his own Imperial Fiefdom on his Homeworld of Carida.

Shran had recently been elected as the Senator of Byss , spearheading the overall Resurgence of Imperialism in the Deep Core World. His return to the Core Worlds had not gone unnoticed as Marlon Sularen , Grand Overseer of the Final Dawn and a former associate of Shran had caught wind of this new development and had sent Dorian Sevenar to Byss to meet with Shran in the hopes of arranging some sort of deal between Shran and the Final Dawn and pave the way for Sularen's eventual return to Byss. Both Sularen and Sevenar knew the possibility of Julius Haskler stepping in and attempting to persuade Shran to become an Agent of the New Imperial Order within the Core Worlds just like he had attempted with Kenth Berik and Vel'alari most likely for his plans to retake power on Anaxes. It was imperative that they reached Shran first in order to secure his support and loyalty for the Final Dawn for Sularen's Planned Frozen Hand Offensive and to deny the New Imperial Order from a possible asset they could have utilized for their own ambitions in the Core Worlds.

Dorian Sevenar's Shuttle emerged from hyperspace arriving in orbit of Byss. The Director-Admiral had already arranged a meeting with Senator Shran , all he needed to do now was successfully convince Shran to align himself with the Final Dawn to begin the first step of Sularen's Overall Plan to restore the Final Dawn's former influence in the Core and regain his throne on Byss. After descending through Byss's Atmosphere , Dorian's Shuttle arrived at the Continent-wide Capital City of Byss known as Sularenopolis soon coming to rest at one of the landing pads of the the building formerly known as the Imperial Citadel which know acted as official seat of the Government Body that had replaced Sularen's Old Imperial Regime. Now it was only a matter of time before Byss fell back under Sularen's Control and for the Final Dawn to regain influence over the Deep Core as a whole. The Clock was ticking and nothing could stop them now.

Shran wasn't sure how to feel about this meeting. Of course, he was happy to hear from an old friend from many years ago. Although Shran had worked hard to build a name and respectable reputation for himself in circles where imperial ideals are generally shunned and looked down upon. In the arena of politics, optics are everything and there was a part of him that could not help but worry that the emergence of this old friend could put his aspirations in jeopardy. Nevertheless, he had agreed to the meeting. Perhaps a resurgence of imperialism, real genuine imperialism, is a net positive, and maybe, just maybe it was possible. Several have tried and several had failed. Shran among them. The fact of the matter is that the senator is old. His best years are behind him and now, it was only a matter of time. His days of commanding battles from the bridge of a star destroyer or getting into blaster fights are over.

He sat at his desk reviewing some of the latest proposals being brought before the senate. A hologram appeared, Shran's secretary. "Your next meeting is here sir. Shall I send him in?" Shran nodded and said, "Yes. I'll see him right now. Thank you." With that, the hologram faded and moments later the door to his office opened. "Ah, Dorian. It's been too long." Shran said, standing as he greeted the old colleague.

It had been a long time since the Director-Admiral had seen his old friend from the Core Imperial Confederation. As he entered in the Chiss Senator's Office , the Director-Admiral smiled. "Indeed has been a long-time. It's been over a decade since we last met." Sevenar said as he extended his arm to shake Shran's Hand. The Last time he or the Politorate had heard anything from Shran it was years ago when he were in service of the Eternal Empire as the Overseer of their Armed Forces and one of the most high-ranking officials within the Eternal Empire. How Shran went from Overseer of the Armed Forces within the Eternal Empire to a simple Senator of an Alliance World was an enigma to the Director-Admiral although perhaps he could get some answers today before they went straight to the main topic. "So , Senator..." Dorian said acknowledging Shran's newest Position within the Alliance. "How are things holding up for ya? Last time i heard about you , you were a High-Ranking Official within the Eternal Empire , Overseer of the Armed Forces i think? What happened? And what brought you here to the Alliance?" the Director-Admiral asked.

Understanding Shran's Motivations for leaving the Eternal Empire and heading for the Galactic Alliance could be vital in the overall plan on convincing him to join the Final Dawn. After all if the Director-Admiral went straight for the proposal without getting some bits of information in regards to Shran and his motivations he could potentially expose himself to the Alliance especially if Shran held any sort of hatred for the Final Dawn like Grand Moff Vel'alari who also was a Chiss , considering what the Brotherhood of the Maw had done to the Chiss in general. If Sevenar could be certain that Shran could be a potential ally for the Final Dawn then he would go straight forward with the proposal. Otherwise he'd just stick with establishing a simple friendship/partnership between Shran and Sevenar outside the Final Dawn to give the Final Dawn an opportunity to proceed with their plans on Byss although at a much slower rate should Shran be opposed to the Brotherhood of the Maw and by extension the Final Dawn. Nevertheless all of this depended on how this initial conversation proceeded , and hopefully Shran would met up to the expectations of both Sularen and Sevenar here today.

The past was a touchy subject. Shran did not like to talk about his decline in status much. In fact, it is a subject that has remained a closely guarded secret that even his closest of allies don't know. That being said, he was among friends here. The two men served together and that was a bond not easily severed. Shran let out a sigh, sitting back in his chair, offering Sevanar to do the same in one of the chairs on the opposite side of Shran's desk. "You know how these things go. Office politics. People vying for power. If you don't watch your back, you find yourself on the outs. I didn't watch my back. That's the long way of me saying; I'm old. Maybe too old for this." It wasn't a total lie. It actually wasn't a lie at all. It was an omission at best. An omission of the full story but the end was very true. Shran was well aware of his age.

He had already noticed little things. His hands had developed a slight shake. His memory was not as sharp as it once was. The only issue with Imperialism is that it has a tendency to thrive best when there are strongmen in positions of authority. Presenting as being weak in an imperial society could be tantamount to a death sentence. Or at the very least it could condemn a person, no matter how prestigious their position was before, to a lifetime of living under the heel of someone who outmatched them. Shran would be lying if he said he didn't miss the days of holding the authority he did in the Core Imperial Confederation or the Eternal Empire. However, one had to consider the toll such a position would even wield. Would it even be worth it at this stage in the game?

"How about you? What have you been up to?"

Chapter 5 : Return to Byss

FINAL DAWN
BYSS , DEEP CORE

Dorian Sevenar watched as his old friend sat back into his chair motioning for the Director-Admiral to do the same. As Dorian sat down within the chair directly opposite to Shran's Desk , the Senator continued the conversation.
"You know how these things go. Office politics. People vying for power. If you don't watch your back, you find yourself on the outs. I didn't watch my back. That's the long way of me saying; I'm old. Maybe too old for this."
The First thing Sevenear thought upon hearing this was about his Superior Marlon Sularen. He imagined that the Grand Overseer could relate to this quote a lot considering at how he failed to watch his back numerous time with dealing with individuals who presented themselves as possible allies but whose overall ambitions directly contradicted Sularen's own goals. At Least this time he would have a sophisticated intelligence agency in the form of the Politorate to keep track on every possible advantage for him and every possible threat that my rise against Sularen. Then Shran continued.

"How about you? What have you been up to?"
Dorian Sevenar took a few seconds to reflect on this question. In the Past 16 Years he had simply gone from being a Core Imperial Warlord ruling over Carida to the Head of the Politorate which initially was a trainwreck and had little effectiveness against Sularen's enemies although overtime it grew to become a powerful force within the Final Dawn directly controlled by Sevenar. The Politorate was where Sevenear belonged and his loyalty to Sularen was firm , not to mention that his time on Carida had allowed him to forge connections with influential figures on the Imperialist Stronghold , the best way to set up a Final Dawn Proxy Network down there.

"As for me. Nothing much. After you joined Cedric Grayson i simply retired to my homeworld , Carida and briefly ruled over it as it's De-Facto Governor maintaining Law and Order on the Planet and defending it against other Rival Warlords. When the Alliance reached Carida i simply humbly stepped down and started my own little Private Intelligence Agency along with a Private Military Corporation , the Politorate and Tantamount Interstellar. It's a far cry from my former time as a Core Imperial Warlord or even an Admiral within the Core Imperial Navy but it's honest work. Allows me to maintain ties in the past while still being able to move forwards. Anyways how have things been going on here at Byss? I must say this Resurgence of Imperialism has completely surprised me considering the lengths the Alliance took to dismantle the previous Imperial Regime" The Director-Admiral said referring to his Superior Marlon Sularen's former time as the Imperialist Despot of Byss , the Corellian-Durosian Blockade which brought down his regime , the Galactic Alliance's Occupation of the World and installation of a Pro-Alliance Puppet Government largely comprised of Federalists and Corporatists who pretty sucked up to the Chancellor.

An Imperialist Politician being elected as Senator of the Alliance in such circumstances was an extraordinary feat although returning this Deep Core World to it's Imperial Glory Days would take a lot of work especially considering the many opponents Shran might face especially that Senator Auteme of Epoch who had previously taken a strong stance against the previous Imperial Ruler of Byss outright calling for Sularen's abdication. But perhaps even if Shran wouldn't be capable of leading entire Fleets into Battle he could still serve as an instrumental figure in helping Sularen reclaim his throne and aiding the Final Dawn in restoring its Influence in the Deep Core. All Dorian Sevenar needed was to be certain that the perfect circumstances presented themselves before further moving in with his planned operation here on Byss.

Shran smiled a bit. "Things have been well on Byss. Obviously it was not easy to secure my position but I think the Alliance has more or less given up on trying to suppress imperial voices. I can't say much but I will say I have recently been invited to join a coalition of senators of all different ideologies, and I was not the only imperial among them." Honestly, it had been a better turn of events than he ever could have hoped for. On his own, his chances at finding himself as chancellor were slim to none. Now, sure he had to compete with several other members who were all gunning for the seat too, but they were all more or less fighting for the same team, so if one of them were to make their way to the top, it would still be a win for the group as a whole. "Between the issues mounting with the collapse of the CIS and now with rising tensions with the New Imperial Order, not to mention the already weak chancellor who is totally ill-prepared to deal with these challenges. I think it is safe to say they have bigger things on their plates than to worry about little old me." Shran said with a chuckle.

"Things have been well on Byss. Obviously it was not easy to secure my position but I think the Alliance has more or less given up on trying to suppress imperial voices. I can't say much but I will say I have recently been invited to join a coalition of senators of all different ideologies, and I was not the only imperial among them."
A Coalition of Senators from Different Ideologies? Now this was quite unheard of , especially considering at the conflicting views of many Factions within the Galactic Alliance's Senate such as those of the Federalists and Populists and the Corporatists and Concordists and the fact that the Imperials were not seen positively by most senators at least that was how Sevenar viewed them during Sularen's time as Lord-Imperator of Byss. The Director-Admiral was very intrigued about this Coalition as the Final Dawn had no prior knowledge of such development.

"Between the issues mounting with the collapse of the CIS and now with rising tensions with the New Imperial Order, not to mention the already weak chancellor who is totally ill-prepared to deal with these challenges. I think it is safe to say they have bigger things on their plates than to worry about little old me."
This was also another interesting point from Shran. Sevenar was well aware of the recent rising tensions with the New Imperials as well as the recent collapse of the CIS and Chancellor Tithe's SILK Plan which the Politorate sought to exploit for their own benefit and to potentially open up a new front from the South when Sularen and the Final Dawn would launch their offensive into the Core Worlds. The Director-Admiral was especially interested at how Shran viewed Tithe having called him Weak and ill-prepared for the challenges posed by the Confederate Collapse and Rising Tensions with the New Imperials. The More this Conversation dragged on the more information Sevenar was collecting which Sularen would be most certainly pleased to hear.

"Hum. This is very intriguing especially this Coalition of Senators from Different Blocs which is largely unheard off considering many of these Blocs have conflicting agendas specially as shown with the last election. I'm quite curious about what this Coalition's Goals exactly are as i was unaware of such development. In addition you spoke of Chancellor Tithe being Weak and Ill-Prepared for the challenges posed by the Collapse of the CIS and rising tensions with NIO. But in regards to the Confederate Collapse , i thought Tithe's SILK Plan would fix the issues posed by the Confederate Collapse by bringing stability under the various Corporations friendly to the Alliance considering at how the Confederacy was once home to dozens of Megacorpoations who brought the same type of stability to the region under the Confederacy. As for the New Imperials i'm not surprised tensions are rising once more between them and the Alliance. This already happened once around a Decade ago when the New Imperials and Alliance came to blows in the Northern Dependencies especially with their Clashes at Yinchorr and Shili although they did reconcile when the Third Imperial Civil War resumed between the New Imperials and Sith-Imperials leading to the formation of the Galactic Triumvirate , which Sovereign Imperator Fel disbanded after the Maw struck at Coruscant. But honestly i'm surprised the Alliance has managed to last this long against both the Maw and the New Imperials both who seem to have a great interest in the Core Worlds"

Shran couldn't help but scoff. "The chancellor's SILK plan is little more than a patch job that doesn't go far enough. As for this coalition that I mentioned before, it is... so far... an off-the-record thing and I expect it to remain that way. But enough about me. I am much more curious as to why you are here. I am "elected" senator from Byss and suddenly you show up here in my office. You're not one of my constituents. So what is it that my office can do for you?"

He knew. It was not hard to piece together. In this line of work, people don't just show up at your front door just to say hi. Especially not old friends. They are the most likely to come to you with a trick up their sleeve and Shran was growing increasingly curious what Sevanar was playing at. It was no secret that he was working an angle, Shran just wanted to figure out what it was.

So much for gaining information on that Coalition , Sevenar thought. But nevertheless Shran's Opinions towards Chancellor Tithe as well as this mysterious Coalition would most certainly interest Marlon Sularen. With Shran growing somewhat suspicious about Sevenar's Arrival , the Director-Admiral decided that it was time to get to official business although he did not intend to reveal his real intentions immediately.

"First i must remind you my Old Friend , that the Alliance is weak and vulnerable and that it's collapse is inevitable considering your insight on Tithe's SILK Plan as well as ongoing tensions with the New Imperial Order along with the Alliance's Performance against the Maw. Not to mention that it is dominated by Corporatists such as the Chancellor himself who are driven by Profits with little concern for the people of the Core Worlds. As long as their coffins are filled by Credits , what happens to the fair people of the Core Worlds is no concern to them. Corruption and Greed is what plagues this Alliance and it will be it's ultimate downfall. The New Imperials aren't so different. They believe in an outdated ideology , that of the New Order which has failed numerous times in the past and possess the same mindset that the Alliance holds , that of self-righteousness in which despite all their flaws they are still perfect , the best type of government that there can be in this Galaxy , and all other Galactic Powers are the same. Like the Alliance , the New Imperials don't have what it takes to bring True Order to the Galaxy nor does any other power in the Galaxy."

"The Resurgence of Imperialism on Byss has caught the interest of many groups of interests such as the New Imperials who will most certainly try to recruit you in the near future. But i must tell you , they will only give you false promises and leave you with nothing in the end. But nevertheless these recent events on Byss provide the opportunity to start something new , something greater , to bring forth a Pure Neo-Imperial Ideology capable of providing the Galaxy with a clean slate and end the constant state of warfare along with the dominance of Force-Users , who have been responsible for these endless wars that have been waged across the Galaxy. Before i continue on i must first ask you , what do you know about the Final Dawn and the recent Uprising at Epoch?"

Bingo. Finally he had cut through the weeds of the fake "how do ya do's". That's what this really was. A recruitment... or more accurately a poaching. What benefit this was to Sevanar was still unclear to Shran but that would come in time. For now he was satisfied to have gotten to the true heart of this meeting. He listened intently as his old friend derided the Alliance that Shran so dutifully now served. On one hand the irony was not lost on Shran that had the Alliance been the imperial utopia he wished it was, even being involved in this discussion would get him hanged for treason. Tithe might have been an idiot but a power hungry despot he was not. Shran was fairly comfortable in his assertion that he had no need to fear for his life. If anything he would be both surprised and impressed if this office was even bugged. The thought however, only served to remind Shran that the fact he didn't think to check in the first place was the result of his age showing. Was this how it was going to end? Death by a thousand cuts? A series of slip ups that resulted in a slip too far? He'd have to be more careful moving forward.

"I will confess. My knowledge of the Final Dawn is lacking at best. But I would warn you not to count out this Alliance just yet. There are plenty of voices among the chorus calling for a much stronger commitment to defense. It might not be an empire set on conquest but it is certainly not a toothless womprat ripe for target practice as you would have me believe. Can it last forever? Certainly not. Even the thousand year empires that have spanned this galaxy longer than some family bloodlines have come crashing down eventually. Can it last long enough? Now that remains to be seen. But, with that said, feel free to continue."

This was an interesting statement from Shran. He still had hope for the Alliance when there were visible signs of weakness but he also did point out to some possible strengths that remained within the Alliance. Nevertheless recruiting these other "voices" would be more harder then recruiting Shran himself considering at how they were clearly opposed to the Final Dawn due to it's affiliation to the Brotherhood of the Maw , not to mention Darth Solipsis's previous Manipulation of the Senate had caused them to grow more vigilant in the face of future infiltrations. Shran was highly opposed to the current administration under Chancellor Tithe , yet still had some hope for the Alliance. Nevertheless soon enough that hope would erode when the Final Dawn would prove Shran that the Alliance was truly indeed vulnerable , perhaps more then Sevenar and Shran thought.

"When the Core Imperial Confederation collapsed. We both sought to preserve the Imperial Ideology in the Core Worlds in the face of rising democratic Powers. When we parted ways shortly after the Capture of Coruscant i came to serve under Marlon Sularen , who during the Early Days of the Grayson Imperium was one of your associates before being sacked by Cedric Grayson. During your absence , the Grayson Imperium merged with the Corellian-led High Republic to form the Galactic Alliance which you should be most certainly aware of by now and with this merger the last major hope for Imperialism was gone leaving behind various holdouts that were swept away by the Alliance one by one. Byss , Lialic , Chandrila , Xa Fel , Carida. All home to former Imperial Remnants and Holdouts which were swept away by the tides of democracy and a new generation of sentients who have grown under the watchful eye of the Alliance oblivious to their World's Imperial Past with the exception of some worlds like Byss and Carida who have maintained strong Imperial Traditions despite these changes."

"The Final Dawn , is a Neo-Imperialist Junta that was formed a few years ago from the merger of various Imperial Remnants and Holdouts that were forced to flee the Core Worlds in the wake of Alliance expansion , which included the former Imperial Regime of Marlon Sularen that once ruled over Byss which was forcibly dissolved after an illegal blockade launched by the worlds of Corellia and Duros which was later supported by the Alliance under the oversight of the then Vice-Chancellor Tithe. By the time of Sularen's removal from Byss i was still at his service operating throughout the Core Worlds via the Politorate and Tantamount Interstellar on his behalf conducting various operations to ensure the continuation of Imperial Rule on Byss and advance Sularen's overall goals of defending the last bastions of Imperialism in the Core Worlds."

"When the Final Dawn rose , we were able to establish a minor foothold in the Deep Core gaining influence over worlds such as Byss , Epoch and Empress Teta , worlds that traditionally have been considered as Safe Havens for Imperialism. But in the aftermath of the Maw's attack on Coruscant , our clandestine efforts were brought down when an Uprising occurred on Epoch led by the former Shield of the Jedi known as Auteme Auteme along with a close associate of hers , a disgruntled ex-corporate official Titus of Epoch Titus of Epoch , who despite our best efforts and with the aid of the Alliance successfully overthrew our Proxy Government on Epoch which was critical to further expanding our influence and reviving Imperialism throughout the Deep Core , bring us back to ground zero."

"Like i said earlier recent events here on Byss have provided us with an opportunity to try again, this time with the goal of creating something entirely new , a "Pure" Neo-Imperialist Regime that could bring true peace , order and stability across the Deep Core and Core Worlds as well as reduce the cancerous influence of Force Users like those in the New Jedi Order and put an end to the state of near-constant warfare that the Galaxy has been engulfed in , which i've already said before. The Reason i'm here is that extend an offer to you , an opportunity to help us realize this vision of a Prosperous Near-Utopian Society unaffected by Constant Warfare or the Negative Influence of Force Users founded on the principles of Purity , Order and Unity. What do you say Shran?"

As his old friend spoke, Shran thought back to the old days when imperial ideals ran rampant in the inner core and how Shran himself was at one point at the very heart of all it. He did miss it and his hatred for force users and the Jedi specifically had not changed. It was one of the aspects of the Alliance that Shran had a hard time reconciling; his hatred of Jedi and the fact that the Alliance was essentially a safe haven for them. Still, he wasn't sure if he wanted to ruin a good thing. He also considered that he was not in the best of health and his whole reason for taking this position was to live out a quiet last few years. Could it really be worth it to get back on the saddle and launch an all out assault on the democratic values that have permeated through the core worlds? He looked over at his friend who sat across from him, "I say it sounds like a nice dream but I want to know more about how you plan to make that dream a reality."

Chapter 5 : Return to Byss

FINAL DAWN
BYSS , DEEP CORE

From the looks of it , it seemed that Shran was somewhat hesitant but then Sevenar understood. Shran was old , having served various governments from the Core Imperial Confederation , to the Grayson Imperium , to Zweihander Union , to the Eternal Empire and now the Galactic Alliance. But what had he accomplished in this time? The Chiss watched as the Core Imperial Confederation collapsed , at how his Imperial Domain within the Grayson Imperium eroded and was replaced by Democratic Institution , as the Zweihander Union barely lasted more than 2 Years and as the Eternal Empire swiftly replaced him. This was an opportunity for Shran to make a name for himself and become recognized throughout the Core Worlds as one of the main figures behind the return of Imperialism in the Deep Core and Core Worlds once more.

The First step into accomplishing this vision would be to strengthen the presence of Imperialism across the Deep Core which has forgotten it’s Imperial roots. Imperialism on Byss is already on the rise , and we can ensure that it spreads beyond the Beshqek System , into neighbouring systems that have rejected Imperialism such as Kalist , Epoch and Empress Teta. But we would require a public face to do so , someone who could rally the Imperialists within the Galactic Alliance and strengthen the Imperialist Bloc to facilitate the spread of Neo-Imperialism within the Deep Core and the Core. You have served within various Imperial Regimes from the Core Imperial Confederation to the Eternal Empire and are the most qualified person for this role , Shran.

The Final Dawn will be there to support these efforts and provide you with the means necessary in accomplishing this feat. In fact , we could start with this Mysterious Coalition of yours as I am sure we can reach out to the other Imperialists and other Authoritarian-leaning Members within that Coalition to further strengthen the presence of Neo-Imperialism within that Coalition proper which could be a perfect tool in further strengthening Imperialist sentiment across the Alliance. Think about what we can accomplish , Shran and how we can succeed where we once failed after the collapse of the Core Imperial Confederation.

Shran sat there for a moment and listened to the man across from him speak. It was clear enough that Sevanar was attempting to appeal to Shran's vanity and remind him of the good old days. Admittedly it had been working and Shran was not wholly opposed to the idea. It was a simple fact that he did believe in Imperial ideals and had dedicated his life to promoting their spread for most of his adult life. He missed it and he wanted it back. Perhaps this was his chance. At this point in time, it was his only chance. Sure there were those in the newfound coalition that had been made recently of which he had been a part of and there were some imperials among that group but ultimately there was no way for the group to be a purely imperial group and if they ever did gain real authority and power within the Alliance, they would still be beholden to cooperate with the other blocs in the coalition. It was a start but it was far from the reality that Shran wanted to reinvent.

"Alright. Let's say that I am interested. Where specifically do I fit in to all of this? You make it sound like I am to be the voice of your movement."

Dorian Sevenar smiled upon hearing Shran’s question. Shran was really being cautious here , perhaps trying to know if what Sevenar was proposing would be worth the trouble or not. The Director-Admiral smiled and quickly responded. “In a certain sense you’d be correct. But most specifically you’d act as our Agent in the Core Worlds bringing together all the Imperial and Imperial-leaning Senators within the Alliance to find common ground as well as acting as our eyes and ears within the Senate itself. By Uniting the largely decentralized Imperial Bloc and transforming it into a powerful force within this Coalition of yours you’d provide us with a powerful political powerbase within the Alliance and a means to further spread our influence across the Core and Deep Core.

Not to mention that with some insight on the Senate itself we could be able to identify who could potentially serve as useful allies and who might become obstacles to our goals. If we’re going to outmaneuver our rivals then we will first have to understand them. I hope this answers your question.” the Director-Admiral said. He tried to simplify his ideas this time as it would possibly give more clarity on the Final Dawn’s plans and Shran’s role in it. The sooner he got Shran to agree to working with the Final Dawn the sooner Sevenar could put Sularen’s plan in motion.

The senator nodded a bit and offered a slight smile, "Ah. I see. You want me to be your mole. A spy if you will. That is fair I suppose. I am in a unique position to be able to work with you in that capacity but I know how this game is played. My time and my services will not be free." Obviously, credits were nice but when it come to matters like this, especially when dealing with imperials, it was always best to secure status and position. People with power tended to come out on top. It was one of the reasons why he had always managed to land on his feet after the collapse of almost every imperial institution that he had been in thus far. Countless had died collectively in the fall of all of them and the seismic geopolitical shifts of the galaxy yet Shran always had a way out, and that wasn't going to change here.
