LFG Returning apprentice looking for friends + enemies

[Kaila Irons]

Kaila here was my first true force user and an apprentice of Darth Carnifex back in 2020. I'm still not used to playing FUs but have since dusted off the sabers and i'm looking forward to exploring the force again! She has grown some since then and even become the unwilling host to a unique force ghost who serves as both a parasite and an unorthodox teacher bargaining power for control, serving as both friend and foe. Now i'm looking for both!

Potential hooks:

• Jedi encounters
  • I'm not used to writing force user combat and could use a learning experience. Kaila has never actually met a real jedi despite all she's read, painting a very biased view of her enemy. I am not interested in throwing my squishy apprentice at a master FU, but rather testing the waters. Whether they become bitter rivals or even frenemies, i imagine it's a good time to meet considering that another alliance-sith war is looming.
• Sith stuff
  • Kaila is a small name in the Sith Order due to her years spent trapped on dathomir. What most don't know is that she still serves as an apprentice to Darth Carnifex and a Kainite scholar who regularly brings her findings back to her master. Even so, she seeks independence through power and bides her time while expanding her learning in secret. Sith with something to teach, peers chasing after similar secrets in need of friends or even a rival, these are a few of the stories that Kaila might fit into.
• Ghost stuff
  • Kaila was partially possessed and then exorcised of an ancient sith ghost while away, yet somehow the ghost remains. Much of her time is spent studying ghosts and the undead in hopes of learning to either control or coexist with the spirit without giving in to temptation. Witches, necromancers and other occultists may find this interesting.

Looking at the bio, i think there's potential for a good dynamic there. Who better to accompany a ball of fiery rage than a pyromancer? ;p
I also realized while reading it that while Kaila isn't technically allowed to teach an acolyte or apprentice, the ghost attached to her might in the future.
But I also see where Eira and Kaila's personalities might clash so ig it depends on whether you're looking for allies or enemies

Balun isn't the most experienced of FU's but I can offer a no pressure engagement to help us both build upon our characters experience if you would be interested.

He is, however, not the type to attack on sight of a Sith but will rather require the appropriate incentive for the two to enter into combat. Threatening the life of another would do the trick!

Jonyna Si given what we talked about in the invasion sign up, it may be better to wait until then just so we aren't dividing our attention into two threads where one will do. I'm also concerned about the stark difference in power levels, I'd probably have to give control to the ghost of Darth Parasideus in order to survive the 1v1.

Tyrus Vastor Similarly to what i've said to Jonya, I may have to bs slightly with the ghost's control to make up the difference given that I see a lot of masteries in your bio compared to Kaila's more scholarly pursuits and instinct fighting.

Kaila has never met a jedi so far and likes going to more quiet\remote worlds to do her research or steal knowledge for the Kainate(her excuse for being away from home at least), what do you think of meeting in\near an outpost\small town while she tries to break in to steal some research or maybe she's discovered while asking about some local legends that might be force related?

Eira Dyn Does Eira frequent any locations in particular? Jutrand Academy maybe? I could see them meeting while Kaila inquires about some books at the library or even while she observes just to familiarize herself with how non-kainites handle the acolyte process, given that her training was unorthodox and that she is no longer an acolyte but an apprentice

Bale's interest in herbology and horticulture is something that I wanted to base his character around however, his roleplay went in a different direction. I would love to utilise it in some way so that works perfectly for me. I'm not sure what kind of research the Kainate would benefit from, perhaps something in the alchemy side of things, maybe a poison extract taken from flora?

Honestly, Kainite seekers seem to just hoard any knowledge about sith or jedi they can get their grubby hands on. Kaila just uses it to further her education & look useful lol

alchemy is smth i plan to learn and poison needs no introduction! only question now ig is who starts?
