Returning Home for Not Christmas

Commenor.

Bright, recovering and new. The monarchy was gone and replaced with democracy. It was one of the places in the galaxy that made Kei feel uncomfortable, especially since it had joined the Silver Jedi Order's influence. It was one of the few places in the galaxy he would be arrested if he was seen, one of the few places in the galaxy that believed him to be in a prison somewhere on the other side of the galaxy.

His apartment still needed some love though, especially the droids that had been left there.

Kei run his hands through his hair, stepping into the lobby of the apartment complex. The receptionist paid him little attention, her eyes glossed over and focused on the screen in front of her. It almost looked like she had been mind-tricked, however he doubted it very much. No-one had an issue with a little old receptionist lady who just looked at screens every single day.

He stepped into the elevator, pressing the button for his penthouse. He inserted his card which doubled as his front door house key. The elevator beeped and accepted the card as his. The elevator started to move slowly, speeding up as it acended the tall tower, speeding towards the penthouse as fast as it could. It would make the climb in roughly fifteen seconds.

The door opened.

Kei stepped out. He recognised the figure sat in front of him.

"Star"

How do you react, when you find out that a family member hadnt truely died? That had came back from the dead and didnt even inform you oh force no why would they not like you werent there a few times in their darkest hours? Totally wouldnt be upset at all yeah?

Stardust wishes she could say that

However instead, she had to find out the hard way by listening around...she only found him by records and even then she knew that one in prison couldnt be him hardly at all she knew kei. So she snuck into his apartment after using a mind trick on the lady to allow her a keyboard to get in

And there she sat, when he entered she stood green eyes staring down at him

hello cousin...havent seen you in a few years since you know your funeral

His funeral.

She had been there, on Corellia the day his body had been buried, headless. He wasn't surpised she had been there, she would have felt his death through the force. The duo had always been close, a bond developed as family and then as friends. Kei had seem the Twi'lek do things very few others had ever pulled off, he had seen her fight countless people. He had battled her himself, training. They had nearly torn a planet apart.

He had questions for her, as he was sure she had questions for him. The protocol droid built for him by Rex was sat in the corner, disabled. He assumed she was responsible for it, he was almost certain that he had left the droid enabled when he was arrested. Someone needed to manage his property, keep it dust free and since he couldn't do it personally, the responsibility for clearing fell to the droid that had served loyally.

"Why are you here? How in the force did you get through my front door?"

oh you know, easily....and your stupid if you dont know why I'm here

She pushed doff her seat, standing to a full height of six and a half feet tall looking down at him with a blank face. She wasnt sure how to feel, be mad at him and berate him? Hug him tightly and tell him she missed him dearly? What should she even say? Stardust stared down at him and took a deep breath as she used the force to close the door behind him

why else wouldnt I be here? I didnt go through your stuff, i cane in moved a seat to the door and sat down...I'm here to talk to you!

She said raising her voice a bit

He looked at her.

He shook his head. He expected to come to Commenor to secure the property, collect the armour and leave. He didn't expect to be berated by family, by friendcs about where he had been and why he had vanished from the galaxy for a time. He was tired, he had been on a ship all day and not really slept as a consequence. He just wanted to pass out overlooking the rebuilding city, the city that he was helping to fund.

He always wondered what his total net worth was, maybe someday he would find out.

He used the force to pull up a new chair. He sat it down opposite Stardust, taking a seat in it soon after. The elevator door behind them closed and pinged, heading back down the building. He watched Stardust in front of him. She was taller than he remembered, she carried herself like the royalty she had become. He almost hoped she would sit down opposite him, make it less awkward than if he was just sat right in front of her.

"So, a drink?"

yes, yes please

She let her anger cool, no need for that for it would only push him away. Setting opposite of him she took a deep breath and out cooling herself off

I'm sorry for my anger....its just...I'm glad to see you alive and well...with head

She said and dryly chuckled looking down and sighed. Looking back up to him she smiled lightly

wine if you got it by the way

Kei nodded.

He reached out with his mind, reactiving his droid. The protocol droid waddled over slowly, listening to Kei as he ordered wine and scotch. The wine would please his friend, his guest while the Corellian Whiskey would please him. He was thirsty, and alcohol would saite him slightly. He figured it would allow him to calm down if nothing else, figured it would actually allow him to relax. He hadn't relaxed since the Silver Jedi Order.

"Having a head is indeed extremely useful"

He kicked back as the droid walked back into the lobby. He took his drink from the tray the protocol droid was holding. He looked towards the twi'lek in his apartment, running his hand through his hair. She hadn't seen him in his new body yet, he almost looked forward to her reaction to it. He looked more like a warrior than he was, in reality he was an inventor now, a tinkerer and an admiral. He could fight, he was sure. He just wasn't sure if he wanted to.

"So, what have you been up to?"

What had she been up to...so much had happened actually that even she could barely remember half of it. After his funeral for awhile she returned doing what she usually did mercenary work and running her planets

oh you know...mercenary work, running a planet the usual things I do

She chuckled and looked down at her wine as she took a long sip of it then sighed as she closed her eyes

I had a daughter, while we..were apart shes 11 now names brigh
