Returning Home With An Extra

Self-Imposed Exiled
The universe is a large and expansive mass of space, and whilst the idea of such a thing may be thrilling for some, to the small Miralukan child it brought upon a sense of dread and fear, especially as it had become apparent that she was not entirely well gifted with what others of her own kind would consider to be a genetic connection to the force. Though you cannot blame her, Vulip was orphaned at a young age, and for many years had gone uncared for, thus the lacking of ability that she had was purely gained through her own trials. However that was her past, her present had her standing beside a woman who had taken her in almost immediately after meeting, though the young child would swear she was standing calmly beside the woman, it was clear that she was clinging to Baiko, and it was with a grip that indicated that the child was convinced she was about to slip off, and begin falling into the outer space that the ship glided through as easily, like a boat upon water. The ship slowly approached Concordia, though Vulip was unaware of exactly what or where such a thing was, but that was where she was going and in the guidance of a caring young lady.

Another child returned to Concordia, where once none resided. In the marketstalls of Nar Shaddaa, Baiko found a girl who very much required parental guidance and help. Baiko could not resist the call inside her, this little girl, [member="Vulip"] needed the home she and [member="Gray Raxis"] provided.

Gray would understand. He was the sort of man, who looked at a child in need and went 'bring them home, love. Bring them home'.

Home. Perhaps this was the definitive moment, when Concordia, Mandalore's forested moon, became home. This was the place Baiko and Gray would raise their children, it was the place of her heart. Now Vulip took her own place in the former mother's heart. Holding the poor girl's hand, Baiko let her seldom used abilities in the Force swell around them, and began creating illusion-lines of the ship they travelled in, bands of deep grey for the child to 'see' in her instinctual, albeit atrophied, force sight abilities.

"Concordia is lovely, Vulip. We have an estate in the forest, where Gray and I live quietly. Your sister @Yasha Matis, the Mand'alor, and her husband, your brother [member="Kaden Mantis"] visit when she can although most of her time is taken up on Manda'yaim. Gray is like you, blind and missing his eyes... he will love you, and he is best to teach you how to use your instinctual skills of vision, while I will help where I can. We shall pick you out a room where you can smell the rose gardens, eh? Wouldn't that be fun? Perhaps beside the babies' room." Keeping her voice soft and pleasant, the Atrisian-raised Echani-Kiffar continued to anchor her new daughter. Her pregnant belly swelled with Gray's twins in a newly noticeable way, what a gift to have the White Current bring her another daughter at such a perfect, and joyful time.

Gray would love her. He wouldn't mind at all.

If Gray had been on Nar Shaddaa, he would have taken the girl for their own on the spot.

Yes, Gray wouldn't mind at all. After all, with the twins on the way, what was one more mouth to feed?

As [member="Baiko no Kaho"] began to create illusionary lines of the shit in which they flew, the young girl's grip upon her slowly loosened and her feet seemed to sit more bravely upon the ground, however it was still clear that the child was not entirely trusting of it, and that was understandable due to her living conditions just days prior to this. Vulip raised her hed towards the woman as she spoke, it was clear that she was taking in every word that came from the lady's mouth, and as she spoke of sisters, and a rose garden, she could not help but smile brightly at the image which popped into her imagination. "Does home float like this?" she would ask very softly, though in a firm voice that only a child would give out. It was clear that, whilst excited, she was nervous of the idea of being somewhere that may not allow her to see in the slightest.

[member="Vulip"] was as curious a child as Yasha once had been, eager to attach and find safety in invincible adult arms. Baiko smiled down at Vulip, letting her presence in the White Current give the child an accurate and pristine vision of Baiko’s face. Dipping down to put one knee on the ground, Baiko picked Vulip up and hugged her, letting her rest on her hip, as she did with her daughters.

Rocking the child, Baiko hummed as the ship descended toward Concordia, letting the small refrain of music coat the room.

“Oh, no child. Home doesn’t float like a ship. It’s a real house on land, in a forest. You will be able to sense the world around you, it’s nothing like this terrifying missile of a ship.” The ship landed softly on Concordia, and the mother grinned, nuzzling her nose on Vulip’s forehead.

“Are you ready to come home, my little one? And meet your father?”
