Reunion

Today was a great day!

On the planet of imahalyan, the capital city was in full party mode, the harvest this year had been the best in years! Stardust had been out on business when she came back to see the city decorated, she needed this honestly no stress of the universe or politics. So she declared this day a holiday of great harvest! With that she made it official and arranged for the city center to be turned into a area for dancing, food, and song

Stardust came into the center, decorated with the colors of her people as she stopped and took a deep breath closing her eyes as she sighed....it was missing something...she looked to right beside her and sighed...yes she didnt gave anyone by her side right not to cherish this moment with her. She had her people yes but that...wouldn't seem to help

She roamed and put a smile on as she was greeted by her people.

Imahalayan
War, many were to experience it in such fragile times and yet many will not come out the other side. These people and this planet had learned to know the war in the past years, it had become their bane to exist within and their curse to bear. Men would be slaughtered and women and children paid no remorse to by each invader. They say that love and war and to in the same yet that is not entirely true, it was within the love that life thrives and it is its lack that life comes to an end however many come to find love just as bitter within its vicious way. Avin had seen many a war and had his scars, battles, and fights that had left pieces of him blown off or hanging onto life by his will alone. Yet there was only one person he had met to have faced both war and love in their most harsh forms and be beaten down. There was only one person whom he had witnessed stand resilient even in the hardest of times to get back on her feet and continue to server herself and those that looked to her for guidance. That is why he was still here, why he kept coming back and why in her presence he had found a home.

His brown robe had seen some sights since he had once again adopted his position as a Guardian of the republic, and yet it had only been to the home of its master once on the most somber of times. The dark winters of pain and sorrow still showed within the battered and bruised backstreets of the capital city and yet the feeling in the air was one of hope and optimism. The great city of culture and color had been reduced to a grey ruin for many whether it be droid or intergalactic entity that pressed these people to their limits. The smell of the city proved to Avin that these people and their culture had not been destroyed, and was now more alive than ever before, music seemed to reverberate from wall to wall and the sweet foods once again garnished stalls and households alike. As Avin blew a plume of herbally infused smoke from his mouth he reminisced about his first time here. Yet with all his thinking, his only goal was to find the one that brought him back, whether Raxis, Bloodstone or whatever she was still his mentor during his darkest hours and his pledge to her and her people would be with him until he rejoined the force upon his death.

Avin was home.

She felt something, no! She felt someone she knew nearby. Someone close to her, someone dear to her one that she constantly pushed away...she stopped talking and excused herself as she started walking towards him...the man who had stuck by her through thick and thin his loyalty unwavering and should be the perfect example of what loyalty is

She pushed through the crowd and stopped right before him, she was speechless honestly. His robes had signs of battle and his eyes had then look to them, she took a deep breath then out as she stepped forward and put a hand on his chest then sighed as she gave a smile

home again are we

Her touch was a sweet remembrance, a feeling akin to that of nostalgia or fondness of the past. Her physical presence was enough to nearly breaking Avin's morose posture, his once smirking self-had been replaced with a lined forehead and a stern resting position. When it came to Star's presence in the void he knew as the force he almost felt as peaceful as he had before leaving this planet. He remembered the days that trailed into months upon re-training his lost abilities in saber and sensitivity. Her presence was that of balance a thin line unlike any other he had met in the force, one that he had strived his whole life to achieve whether under his original master or the one whom he could now call a friend.

His absent mind drifted back as she spoke to him, her words were more playful and joyful than the last circumstances that they had spoken. A lot had changed for the both of them, he had been fighting alongside the remnant and she had continued her own journey. Yet he could not break the picture of a broken woman stricken with heartbreak and grief. He had come back then, he should have stayed yet his sword was called for elsewhere.

"It is hard to stay away, you know I think of think of this place every morning and I guess I got homesick."

He broke into a smile and brought his eyes into contact with hers before placing his hand upon hers and grasping it almost as if to check it was really there.

She felt his hand and gave a smile making to take his into hers in a oddly gentle grasp as she sighed and kept looking into his eyes before sighing softly

you've changed a lot avin I can tell, but it seems this place has a permanent spot in your heart

She chuckled and sighed. This man no matter what seemed to make her happy, extremely happy at that. She started feeling a bit funny again and a few thoughts emerged...thoughts she had repressed after he left and went his way. She looked away and then started leading him to where the many assorted drinks were

if anything welcome home avin, I actually just got back myself as well...seems the force has our destiny tied

The drinks where the variety he had remembered as Imahalayan classics, their sugary tastes permeated by the twinge of liquor or fruits. Avin picked up one of the less flamboyant glasses and nodded his thanks to the stewards that had been attending them.

"Well you are probably not wrong but after these last couple of campaigns, I have stopped trying to understand what the force has in plan for me and just accepted that I will get no peace!"

His voice was somewhat upbeat though a twinge of thought seemed to sit with the words before returning to his normal intonation at the ending. Avin took a swig of the substance and grimaced slightly at the overpowering sweet taste although twisted it into a smile towards the stewards who had no doubt mixed the locally produced blends.

"But it does have a place in my heart you are not wrong, after all, I owe my life to you and this planet. That is something I will never forget."

indeed the force guides us and trying to go against it...can be at times dangerous but I can speak for I have avoid death one to many times!

She jested loudly and grabbed on of the less fruity drinks, taking a sip as she sighed enjoying that burning in her throat that spread out. Listening to him as she led them away closing her eyes as she nodded remembering the last few times they met before she sighed

to think I've met you when you were but barely learning your powers and now you've grown so strong

She stopped and turned towards him offering a warm smile as she looked into his eyes and closed her own thinking for but a second before she chuckled

so, there's a dance in a hour, care to join me on it if you have time

He let out a full smile as she joked with him, the subject matter would be morose in tone to most but the two of them were not exactly most people and the joke had found its home.

"Well, power is something that some have a natural kin to yet I have found it rather dangerous after the last few years, too many are corrupted by it. Alas, I hope one day all of my work will be enough to protect this place and its people."

He turned back to his drink for a moment before moving his head around to listen to her words once more, her gaze cut through him, a familiar sting of regret invaded his mind for a moment before descending back into the depths.

"It would be an honor." He smiled once more and bowed his head in her direction.

this place grows strong, the people realize that peace may never be certain and have taken means to protect themselves...not to mention I have many allies who would help defend...but your right power can be dangerous is not regulated within the force

She took his hand, loving that gently feel of his hand as she took a breath and sighed deciding she needed to admit it once and for all

I've missed you avin, i....ever since that day I couldn't get my mind off you...you've been with me through thick and thin

He nodded as she spoke of her people and this planet. Maybe that is why he had kept coming back time after time, even as essentially an agricultural world these people were resilient, and as far as his own powers were concerned he had the Remnant of his once dead order to thank for that. The masters that had brought what is left of the old group back together had taught him a different outlook and given him access to archives of knowledge that had been sealed off from him whence he was a padawan on Coruscant and later under Stardust.

As she took hold of his hand he felt her mood shift ever so slightly, he had never been much good at reading emotions for social purposes. Yet her eyes seemed to shift in their way of studying him and her grasp was softer. Whence she spoke he could read the undertones and it made his pulse raise. He had long felt strongly towards his tutor and they had even shared moments in the past of tenderness but even as she confided within him his mind went back to the readings of his master.

No attachments, they are against our way.

Then again Avin had not exactly stuck to those tenants since the fall of his order, he had shared a bed with more than a few women and his reliance on drink and cigarras was also not exactly within the code. But then again he had sworn his allegiance back to the order to the masters and the council, to the republic. Should he give in to his own emotions now? he could face expulsion. Everything he had shed blood and killed for over the past year would be taken from him for his own inability to maintain composure. It had been hard enough to show to the council of his pledge to the people as their warden let alone to go off romancing its leader. Yet in its opposition he had grown closer to Star than any other person he had met, the way he felt for her was an overpowering sensation of emotion and feeling.

He looked down at their hands and his face grew morose and his brow seemed to harden for a moment before making eye-contact with the Twi-lek woman.

"Star..."

His eyes came up and he met her gaze, his own almost with a pained expression.

"I think of you almost every day a meaning for me to continue. When I was at the bottom you saved me and when I am with you I am happier than I can explain with words but."

He grasped her hand tighter than before as if trying to ease himself as the painful words left his mouth.

"You know that if I was to ever even consider it... they wouldn't be able to accept such a violation of the Jedi code."

His head pounded with a blind feeling of guilt and sadness.

"The truth is you are probably the only person I have ever fallen in love with and it is the most painful feeling to be unable to tell you that or be with you, to not be here when you need me for the small things or the large."

He broke her eye contact and exhaled.

"I'm sorry."
