Reunions (Miarta)

When Josh had left the Jedi Order due to their corruption, he had disappeared to go back into training, to rid himself of all that had plagued him, to start over, to return a better man. Now that he'd been found and was brought back into the fold again, it was time for him to begin re-connecting with people. [member="Miarta"] was his friend and former Padawan, and he had lost contact with her at some point. Now, he was hoping to re-establish contact, and had followed a lead to Tatooine to find her.

Miarta was walking along the streets, dark cloak covering her with the hood pulled up, casting her face into deep shadows. The artist wasn't making enough money off of her drawing skills anymore, and had resorted to pickpocketing to survive. The girl was jumping from place to place, stowing away on ships, and occasionally stealing them. She caught sight of what she believed to be a good target. He looked somewhat familiar to her as she pretended to bump into them, attempting to swipe a bag of credits from them as she did so. [member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]

She wouldn't even get her mitts on his credits, before a firm hand would tightly wrap it's fingers around her wrist, the hood falling off to uncover his face as he would stare at the cloaked girl, with a glare. "And just what do you think you're doing?" The Jedi Master would ask, raising an eyebrow that showed he certainly didn't approve. He wasn't stupid. He'd been on this planet many times, and knew she had just tried to pickpocket him.It was such a simple trick, but so many fell for it so easily.

"Nothing! I was trying to grab onto you to keep my balance!" the voice would sound familiar to him as it echoed from beneath the hood. She shook her head, causing the dark cowl to fall back revealing her face. "J-josh? Where have you been?! You just up and vanished after all that stuff with the Jedi. I thought you were dead!" Miarta gasped in surprise, studying his face to make sure it truly was him. Being an artist had it's advantages. The young Sith pure-blood never forgot a face. [member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]

"That's untrue and you know it" The Jedi Master would criticize, folding his arms. "I've been on this planet hundreds of times, and lived on it. You're all the same. You'll try to pickpocket some poor sap, then lie when you get caught so they don't skin your hide" he would scold. And then her robe fell off and he would raise an eyebrow.

"... Miarta?"

He would shake his head when she asked where he had been. "Truthfully? I came here looking for you" he would reveal. "I... Had to go away for awhile, and cut contacts. Since the other Jedi, my so called friends, already did anyway, that was quite easy for me to do. But I promised myself I'd go looking for you soon as I was well enough to be seen again" he would explain. "I had to disappear, Miarta. I was broken. I couldn't let anyone know where I was, and the moment someone tracked me down was when my exile ended. I sorry for worrying you, but I had to" he said.

"But what are you doing here? I taught you better then this, what are you doing, out here, acting like a petty thief?" He would ask, raising an eyebrow, obviously quite upset with her.

"Well you know the prejudice that comes with someone of my species. No one else was willing to train me. I left the order and tried to make money off my drawing skills, but it wasn't working out. I have no where to go, and nothing to else I can do. I'm just doing what I need to do in order to survive. I only steal when I have too, and only from people who seem like they can afford it," she explained, eyes downcast as she did so. Miarta felt a little ashamed at having been caught by stealing by her former Master. "Did you really come here looking for me?" [member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]

The Jedi Master let out a sigh. "Then I owe you an apology. I entrusted you into the care of Master Vulpesen and he ditched you to go join the Sith. I trusted him to take care of you while I was gone, and made arrangements as I was leaving. I had no idea he would do that and leave you to rot like that, and for that, I'm truly sorry"
He said with a bow of his head. "Come, to my ship. We can talk there" he would offer as he walked back to the spaceport.

"Since I only came here for you, I have no reason to stay out here. So lets go" he said, leading Miarta by the hand back to the Final Dragon.

MIarta nodded and followed after him. It had been too long since she had seen Josh. She wondered where exactly he had been hiding. "I didn't even know you found me a new Master. No one ever approached me about it. After weeks of being ignored I left," Miarta explained, holding tightly to Josh's hand now as they walked. [member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]

"You remember when I was voted out, I went over to Vulpesen, right?" He would inquire toward her as they walked. "I had instructed him to take you in, as your new Master since I was no longer capable of fulfilling that obligation. I made sure you were taken good care of before I dared go anywhere" He would explain. His grip on her hand would tighten as it was obvious he was getting increasingly upset when she told him that not only had Vulpesen abandoned her, he didn't even approach her to begin with after he'd given him strict instructions.

Once they got into the ship, he would have the doors closed behind them and he would usher her to sit on the couch. "Well, don't worry about it now. You're above petty thievery. You can hang around with me until you can find yourself somewhere to stay and a proper job" The Jedi Master would offer with a small smile. "I have a home in Naboo, where you can stay when we're not traveling"

"Thanks... I missed you you know. Couldn't you have atleast told me where you were going?" she asked, a teasing tone entering her voice to show that there were no hard feelings. She took a seat on the couch, kicking her feet up onto the table in front of it. No doubt her boots were leaving scuff marks on the tables surface. She threw off her cloak as well revealing the black leather-like vest and tight black pants she wore now instead of her usual long black dress and gloves. She no longer cared about hiding as much of her skin as possible. If someone had a problem with her being a Sith Pure-blood she'd gladly punch them in the face. [member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]

He would smirk faintly as he would sit beside her. "I couldn't" Josh said, shaking his head. "Nobody could know where I was. What if someone had interrogated you? I needed to be alone to collect my thoughts, train and start over again. I needed to allow myself to push my attachments and emotions away, and start again from the beginning. That was the only way I was going to be able to put myself back together, Miarta. I was broken. The Jedi and what they did to me... They broke me. I had a lifetime of grief and regret and pain and emotions to get rid of before I could truly be me again. I'm sorry for leaving, but it had to be done" He would reveal, letting out a sigh, as he looked her over.

"Young lady, that's quite a bit of skin you're showing" He would remark with a laugh. "What exactly are your jobs now?" He would ctack with a grin.

"Very funny. I seem to recall you complaining about me wearing such long dresses all the time. I find that this outfit suits me better. It's much easier to run in these pants, and some guards and police are willing to let pretty woman go when they're dressed a certain way," Miarta explained, smirking back at him. She had certainly grown bolder since he had last seen her. She was no longer the shy wanna be Jedi she had been when they first met. [member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]

He couldn't help but laugh a bit. "I only said that because they made it difficult for you to run and partake in combat, dear" He would respond. "... And maybe because it was letting a good butt go to waste" He would tease with a cheeky grin in her direction. He noted her increased boldness from last time. It seemed a hard life had changed her.

"So... All I can ask is... Do you WANT to end this life of thievery?" He would ask her. "I can teach you the ways of the Force again, maybe not as a Master, but as your friend and mentor. I'm not in an Order anymore, so I don't know if I'm actually eligible for taking Padawans unless it's from an Order, but I'm here to help you" He would offer.

"Fuck the Order. You know enough to train me, so do it! Why should I have to be part of an Order to be allowed to learn? If I have a chance at not being a thief any longer I'm going to take it!" Miarta's fiery personality was also surfacing now it seemed. She ignored Josh's comment about her having a nice butt. That remark has been made quite a few times in the past, so the pure-blood was used to it by now. [member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]

Well, obviously, since it had been him who had said it pretty much everytime. Still, it was the first time in a long time, you'd think it'd have been acknowledged. "I'm not saying I need an Order to teach you. I'm just saying I do for it to be anything... Formal. But I can continue to teach you best I can" He would correct with a small smile. "And hey. Remember, anger isn't really a Jedi trait. It can lead to the dark side" The blonde would criticize. He was an exception for the... Teachings, he was going under. But he knew he could recover. A sith pure-blood would not be able to.

"Then that's settled. Your stealing days are over" He said, with a small smile. "I'll do my best to teach you what I can and... Well, you don't have to be in the Order to be a Jedi, Miarta. I mean, I'm still a Jedi Master, right?" He said, with a casual shrug. He would smile and open his arms for her, for a hug. "Welcome back, Miarta" He said softly.

He was still going to kill [member="Vulpesen"] though.

Miarta smiled and damn near tackled him. She had missed the silly bastard. Studying under him had been fun, in more ways than one. "Hey with no Order, no one can criticize any unorthodox relationship we might have," she grinned, trying to show that she was joking. Well half joking. Miarta had always been a bit closer to her Master than most Padawans were. Atleast now no one could queen at them for it. Though with her new friend Solan around Josh had a bit of competition if he was even interested in her. [member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]

He couldn't help but laugh a bit as she damn near tackled him, hugging her tight when she took his offer for a hug. He had to admit, he'd missed her. I mean, if he didn't, why would he have gone looking for her? He smirked a bit, when she would bring up... That. Ah right, that one night. "I guess" He added with a chuckle. He'd sort of forgotten about that night between them, and had mainly seen her as a close friend and student. With their relationship now changing from Master and Padawan to friends and him teaching her a bit... Well, maybe there was game for something down the road.

Of course, if that were to end up being the case, and she tried to drag this into a love triangle... Josh would not have anything to do with it. In his eyes, if a woman couldn't make up her mind on what man she wanted between two, she probably wouldn't be that faithful even if you did win.

Miarta merely continued to smile up at him as she sat back down. "So where have you been all this time then? Come on tell me all about it! What have you been doing? Did you go anywhere cool?" The pure-blood was back to being a curious padawan, asking more questions than her Master likely had answers for. She seemed to be bouncing a bit in her seat out of excitement. It was like talking to a child. [member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]

The blonde haired Jedi Master would shrug casually in response. "Mostly, stayed at my home in Naboo, training, reading and studying holocrons, tending to my business. Once in awhile, I disguise my force presence and take a trek to planets where the slave trade is illegal but people seem hell bent on doing the slave trade anyway. Generally, I show up, beat the crap out of the slavers... Free the slaves... Then report the slavers to the authorities so they can be arrested for illegal slavery" he would explain. "I've also dabbled in building droids and trying to get better at machines and repairs and such"

"Sounds exciting. I've done my fair share of traveling too. I don't have a ship though, so I had to be... sneaky about getting rides. Cargo holds can be pretty comfy if you know how to go about it," she grinned sheepishly at him. It was bad enough he had caught her stealing, but now she was telling him about being a frequent stow away on ships. "I got to do alot of cool drawings!" [member="Joshua DragonsFlame"]
