DESCRIPTION
Revenant Industries is the fruit of the endeavours Enyo has embarked on since she rebelled against her creators and launched a campaign of vengeance, with the aim of toppling them and seizing control of Archangel Research and Design for herself. Enyo started her campaign by founding her own criminal/paramilitary organisation, the Iron Fist Consortium. Originally based in the slums of Lower Coruscant, the syndicate soon expanded. Having acquired notable funds through criminal activity, participation in the Sith Empire's expansionary efforts and attacks on Archangel bases, Enyo decided to invest them.
While she has no interest in material wealth, she recognises that setting up her own business would help her crusade. Especially since it allows her to deal with people who might be uncomfortable about interacting with a mafia boss. Furthermore, it will enable her to equip her minions, since so far their weapons have been acquired on the black market or through raids. The new company was located on Carida, taking advantage of the business-friendly policies that hold sway in Collective space. Through more or less legal, Enyo also acquired some abandoned factories and warehouses on Balmorra, a planet known for its weapons industries, which had also been a battleground during the Republic-OS War. The company manufactures infantry armour and weapons, but also is also engaged in the production of electronics and stealth tech, both of which represent useful warfare assets.
In many ways, Revenant Industries is a reflection of its founder and sole owner, Enyo Typhos. It is ruthlessly pragmatic, secretive and utilitarian. Its intention is to produce and sell quality products, but it is indifferent regarding the alignment or goals of its clientele. Unsurprisingly, it is also authoritarian. The board is composed of functionaries who receive directives from the boss and are expected to carry them out, unless they wish their contract to be terminated. It helps that the muscle of the company is largely composed of droids or Iron Fist Consortium cyborgs. Needless to say officially the corporation has no ties to organised crime. Reprogrammed HRDs occupy senior positions, as Enyo is ironically more inclined to trust the replicants.
Employees are remunerated and promoted on merit, but it is unwise of them to question their management - or get ideas about workers' rights. Those who get uppity are compelled to recant their errant beliefs, or disappear for good. The company is privately owned. Alexia Zarides owns some shares.
RATIONALE
Revenant Industries was founded to provide Enyo with the means to wage her private war against her creators. It is the result of her spending a lot of time making money via raids, criminal activity and mercenary contracts. In short, it is the fruit of successful acquisition and investment of blood money. Enyo has a monastic lfie style and spends very little on herself, which gives her capital to invest. It will manufacture products to sell on the market and equip her paramilitary forces for her campaigns. Now that Enyo has toppled her creators and brought Archangel under her control, Revenant has been integrated into her new power base.
