The Rim-Guard Order requires for its operational duties armoured support, not only in versions to carry the troops into battle, but also to deliver heavy fire support where it is needed. Therefore a main battle tank had to be designed, both to fit the combat roles required as well as fitting into the logistical concepts of the Order.
The Excidium-class is the result of this engineering process. A good sized tank which does not require a too large crew and offers heavy fire support on a maneuvreable platform. Furthermore it can be fitted into the cargo hold of a Stormeagle-transport to support swift assault attacks.
