SPECIAL FEATURES
Strengths:

  • Particle Beam
    A novel technology that pops up every now-and-then. Particle Beam technology uses more unstable blaster shots that, instead of bouncing or deflecting, splash on impact and disperse.


  • Scattershot
    This weapon has been engineered to behave similarly to a scatter gun slugthrower. It fires several small particle beam shots at the target where each is capable of splashing.

Weaknesses:

  • The Heat of Battle
    Quite literally, this weapon produces a great deal of heat. So much so that it can only fire six shots before it overheats.


  • Resource Hungry
    These pistols, in order to perform their function, require both a power cell and gas canister to function.


  • Close Quarters
    This is, by nature, not only a sidearm but a scatter gun wannabe. It is by no stretch of the imagination a long-range weapon, and even long hallways can cause grief.
DESCRIPTION
In an age where it feels like every other person owns a lightsaber, the desire to ward off these individuals increased to the point that a specific niche was available to be filled. Enter the Dragon Perforator. Its unusual properties allow it to cause no end of grief to lightsaber users, though at a price that some are willing to pay.

Using particle beam technology, this weapon makes things much more complicated for a lightsaber user, who would have to be mindful of the splash when they attempt to deflect the shot. While it may only work initially as a surprise tactic, it could save your life when a Jedi, Sith, or Other expects a standard blaster bolt and is met with nasty burning plasma raining on them.

It has also been designed to mimic the popular slugthrower class known as a scatter gun. At its intended effective range or closer, its shots are grouped close together and are designed to cause a great deal of harm to their target. Against lightsaber users, the quantity of shots can be overwhelming. Combined with the particle beam tech, it’s quite a light show.

The drawbacks to such a weapon are fairly self-evident. With such a high power output, it is prone to quick overheating. While it can be used past its overheating threshold without waiting the necessary time to let it cool down, such neglect could cause the durasteel to melt, misfires, or meltdown. Nobody wants a blaster to blow up in their hand. Additionally, the twin ammunition types required to make this combination of effects possible means that in a skirmish or as an everyday carry sidearm it’s not so bad, but in a full-on battle it can become cumbersome to carry ample ammunition.

Recoil can also become an issue, but that’s by design. While you can theoretically fire as fast as you can pull the trigger and power output could be modulated efficiently (in a perfect world) in order to minimize recoil, the weapon was deliberately engineered for you to have to recover from your shots. While inconvenient in battle, it allows the weapon additional cooling time between shots. Again, this blaster overheats easily and measures were taken to maximize effectiveness without sacrificing limbs and extremities.

SPECIAL FEATURES
Strengths:

  • Alchemical Wonder
    Thanks to the nature of alchemized swords, this weapon is wholly lightsaber-resistant, can deflect blaster bolts as a lightsaber can, and has been honed to enhance Rhoujen's own preferred Force attacks.
Weaknesses:

  • Untrue Dark
    Since Treiades is no Sith and would never fully give in to the Dark Side, Drachlann lacks the nexus common to alchemized weapons and therefore cannot be utilized to store excess energies for later use.
DESCRIPTION
Drachlann is the name bestowed upon the weapon crafted by Isley Verd for an old member of what was once known at the Templar Order but is now known as the Knights Obsidian: Treiades Rhoujen. Aesthetically speaking, Drachlann closely resembles a hybrid of old Jedi Katanas and Force Swords; but differs immensely in terms of construction and innate behaviors. Firstly, the sword was created through an application of the Dark Side known as Sith Alchemy, through which the molecular structure of the base material is augmented and changed. As has become standard in his construction of physical swords, Isley selected an ultra-light alloy as the basis for the blade. Through this, the added weight which results through the Alchemy process does not result in a heavy and impractical weapon, but one of a lighter weight.

Furthermore, another key difference between a typical Sith Sword and Drachlann is its pronounced lack of a Dark Side aura. Whilst the weapon is lightly stained by the Darkness due to its being forged through Sith Alchemy, this stain pales in comparison to the literal nexus of Dark Side energies found in masterpiece examples of Sith Swords. However, these differences aside, Drachlann still houses the most notable features of a sword created through Sith Alchemy. First and foremost, the totality of the sword is resistant to lightsabers, due to the blade, hilt, and guard being constructed of Desh-Terenthium. What's more, the blade is capable of deflecting lasers and blaster bolts with relative ease and enjoys a durability that is nigh indestructible. Lastly, due to Rhoujen's disposition toward the use of electrical attacks, Drachlann is highly reactive to Force-based electricity. It acts as a lightning rod, attracting and storing said electricity until the blade makes contact with a physical surface or until the wielder deems to discharge the energy. At that moment, the stored lightning releases, potentially causing grievous electrical damage upon the target.

Marked with a ∑ and the symbol of Clan Verd at the base of the blade, Drachlann is yet another quality weapon produced by the student of Rave Merrill. It was once accompanied by a scabbard of black Resinwood bearing the same markings as those etched upon the blade, but at the Battle of Druckenwell the scabbard was lost and the blade now rests in a simple sword belt fashioned of Terentatek hide to minimize interference from troublesome Force-users.
