- + Swift Footed: Quick on his feet, Rhyen relies upon his natural speed and agility to make his way through combat training rather than any form of physical power. This has led to some of the other children calling him a coward, but Rhyen pays them no mind, knowing that surviving a fight is more efficient than dying due to pride.
- + Astute: Considering his age, Rhyen has a fairly good mind; he is able to assess situations rather swiftly, even if they are new to him, and is a good judge of character.
- +/- Cryokinetic: While he has managed to successfully keep this to himself, through fear of what the more staunch Mandalorians might think, Rhyen is naturally cryokinetic. This power is fairly unstable, usually presenting itself when he faces extremities in his emotions, and due to its historical ties with the Sith Order it has left the boy feeling very uncertain and distrusting of himself.
- +/- Force Sensitive: Going hand in hand with his Cryokinetic powers, Rhyen is more than aware of his Force Sensitivity, yet he has tried his best to keep this to himself, knowing that many Mandalorians are very prejudice towards Force Users. As a result, there is no way for him to receive any formal training as he refuses to inform his parents of his... discoveries - even if they themselves are attuned to the Force.
- - Coward: While not necessarily true, Rhyen is viewed by many of his classmates as a coward who would rather dodge hits than give them. This places him in a difficult position amongst his age-group and sometimes even some of the older, more battle-hardened Mandalorians.
- - Partially Deaf: Following an incident with a flashbang grenade, Rhyen was left deaf in his left ear. While he can still hear, for the most part, relatively well, at times he will have to strain and sometimes he even misinterprets what he is being told.

Born on Corellia, yet moved to Mandalore under his Father's guidance, Rhyen was raised amongst the Mandalorian culture. A predominantly warrior society, from an early age Rhyen was taught to fight with fist and blade, as well as a small introduction into blasters and slugs. Yet it was obvious from the start that he was no combatant.
Instead it was noted that the boy was shrewd and light on his feet, causing a lot of bad stigma to stick to him - specifically from his peers. Yet where other children might have shied away, Rhyen instead sought to prove them wrong. He worked hard to practise tactics that would catch them off guard without compromising his weaknesses. Knowing he would never be strong or an able warrior, he focused on other methods to analyse their tactics and exploit them instead.
Around his sixth birthday Rhyen began to exhibit traits that were entirely unfamiliar to him; afraid of what it meant, he did his best to hide it and began to shy away from the other children. Water would randomly freeze up when he touched the glass, grass would sometimes become frosty and snap under foot... It was a disaster. With members of his family being Force Sensitive, he knew what it meant... But due to his upbringing he also had no desire to admit to it.
The next two years were especially difficult, as he fought to keep control over his emotions and thus the power which was emanating from him. While he had no doubt that members of his family had, by this point, caught on to his sensitivity, the discussion was not brought up... And that was good enough for Rhyen. Instead he researched into the possibilities, and what he found was unsettling. Could it be true that the power he was expressing was linked to the Sith?
Secretly wanting guidance, yet too afraid to ask for it, Rhyen remained silent about what was going on inside of him and tried to instead mask it with an outgoing personality ... all the while having to constantly keep himself in check.
