Strengths:

• Laser Emitter: Building on the previous design of the device, the Ri-Qorit MK II channels the kill signal through a low intensity laser, effectively converting the signal to waves of light.
• Duraplast Casing/Combat De-Ionizer: The device is built to be extremely resistant to Ion/EMP weaponry
• Internal Power Source: The Isotope V used as a power source allows for a self contained device that can be used with or without armor.
• Slim Design: The gauntlet is slim enough that it can fit under most armors with minimal sizing adjustments

Weaknesses:

• Limited Functionality: The Ri-Qorit MK II lacks the area of effect functionality of its predecessor.
• Special Mount: While the Ri-Qorit device can be mounted on a suit of armor, the armor must account for the laser emitter, or the device will effectively be useless.
• Range: Because of the use of low intensity laser, the device has limited range.
• Exact Targeting: Because the Device has no area of effect functionality, the device must maintain direct line of sight with the Ysalamiri in order to effectively kill it.

DESCRIPTION
Following the creation of his own personal Ri-Qorit Device, Voph began work on overhauling the design for a more slim, compact, and effective Ysalamiri killer. Voph had always felt that there were more sophisticated methods to utilize in dispatching Ysalamiri besides dumping radiation into the area around the creature. However, Mandalorian Shielding technology had effectively overridden the original device's radio emitter. So, Voph set about finding new ways to accomplish this goal, while maintaining effectiveness against the shielded bubbles.

Knowing war with the Mandalorians was inevitable, Voph worked day and night to discover a design that would fulfill his purposes, and be usable by the Confederacy en-masse. What he discovered was the use of a low intensity laser emitter to effectively convert the radio waves to light, an energy source that lacked the focus required to effectively block it. While it required direct line of sight to function, the device was still more effective than its predecessor.
