Rich isn't enough

His people were descended of wood folks. They once lived in the woods, with no technology, hunting for food and learning magic from the gods in the forests. And now, here he was, leading his people in a age of immense advance, where not only they could cure most, if not all, diseases, but they had to rely in machines with great intelligence to help them in their daily tasks. And not only that, but in the communications as well, for now they could project themselves for others to watch.

“I am Iedolas Aldercapt Solidor, King of Alcarost in the Kaikielius System, and current chairman in the Bank of the Core.”, he announced, his body being projected by the holocrab that held his image. Clear and proud. Funny for him was the fact that the machines in this new age of technology were quite the emotional pieces, with personalities and even feelings. “As said by my envoys, i would like to discuss terms of a great alliance.”

Sitting in his makeshift office on Roon, Judas raised an eyebrow as the transmission came across. He had expected the meeting would occur in person, though he supposed he hadn't made his preference known during their previous discourse. At least he didn't have to offer refreshments.
Their meeting was of a more sensitive nature, making him hesitant to speak over the easily corruptible medium of the Holonet. Who knew what his rivals would do with the information he was about to release? If they knew his plans they could potentially block a major financial move of his. That wasn't to mention, of course, the inherent risk involved already with what he was about to do. He open a security module on his holotransmitter, hopefully giving them a little insurance against unwanted intrusion.
"Chairman, I'm glad you could make it," he said with a bit of dry yet humorous sarcasm. "I assume you are ready to negotiate the terms of our agreement?"

As Iedolas heard his reply, he hated himself for a moment. Doing this kind of work was suited for a Chairman, or a representative, not a King of such old line like his, but even as he felt that way, the Primarch never allowed this to be seen in his face. A mask of a stern face, that was what he always wore in public, choosing a calm and friendly tone for his words.

“My most sincere apologies for not being able to be there in person. But the burden of ruling have taken its toe on me, like my age has done the same thing.”, the elzeri was more than four hundred years old, and age was always something people understood for his explanations. "You are a true business man. Keen and sharp.", a little flattering for this occasion, but Iedolas was used to with the games of politics and business. “I'm more then anxious to hear the terms of such lucrative business, mister Wayne."

Judas's lip twitched into a small half-smile. He enjoyed a bit of light teasing, though he meant no offense by it. The CEO waved his hand in a dismissing manner. "No worries, it makes no difference to me as long as the line is secure. Ruling is a heavy burden indeed; I couldn't imagine combining the responsibilities of ruling a nation and running a company. Perhaps you should look into hiring a CEO."
He turned his focus to a nearby datapad, pulling up a company portfolio of Rendili Stardrive an sending it to Iedolas. It included stock prices, recent news, and a custom company analysis developed by his financial advisors.
"Camellia Swift, CEO of Rendili Stardrive, has lost much of her company's finances in the past year. The board of directors has given her a vote of no confidence and are looking for a new CEO. I want you to make share purchases in my name and acquire this company for me. Is this something you would be capable of?"

“Hiring a CEO it is never a problem. Problem is to find someone capable by your personal standards.”, he said with a sour tone in his voice, after all, one could never be too careful. Especially if hiring someone to deal with money, damned money.

As Iedolas heard of his request, he took some time to reflect in those words. Not if it was something he was capable of doing, he was, or if it was wrong or morally right, after all, he handled money from Barons and Dukes, High Lords and Counts, and off course, kajidics. He was thinking how he could make this profitable in a long term. After all, he was suggesting to buy this company in Wayne’s money, not theirs.

“I’m certain i can.”, he slowly said in a calm tone of voice, “Perhaps for 3% profit in interests? No, let’s make it 2,5% and the Bank of the Core shall take care of most the finances from your enterprises from now on.”, he smiled after saying that, “Buying shares and reselling or changing the bonds to your name is not something impossible. My board will not mind, if she becomes certain that we found terms in doing business for a long time. After all, we are a Bank you can trust. And that is hard to find."

Judas took a moment to think. A 2.5% commission wasn't a bad rate. However, he would be purchasing millions and millions of credits in shares of this corporation. He had already resigned to the fact long ago that this was going to be expensive no matter what, a fact that was making the decision a little easier on his part. However, he still had a few questions before he agreed to anything.
"Two-point-five commission sounds fair to me. However, as far as your banking services go, what separates your organization from most? What can your offer that others can't? Any number of financial institutions would be thrilled to handle my company's finances, or any company's for that matter. Why should I use your services over that of the IGBC or someone similar?"
Needless to say, Judas was a shrewd businessman. As of right now, they had a mutually beneficial business agreement that would push both of their companies forward. The way he saw it, there was no apparent and immediate benefit to handing his company's money over to Iedolas for safekeeping. However, he was interested to see what the chairman had to offer...

The elzeri loved to be a banker when dealing with smart aliens like mister Wayne. Sometimes he found himself with stupid animals like that one from Mirdimorut, or some strange name like that. Smiling like a demon, Iedolas spoke with a honey like tone, one that was used only when discussing with other nobles and people that stood in the same position as him.

“Your lordship is a paragon of executive composure!”, that one was of favorite phrases, Iedolas always used that one when dealing with clever aliens, “Fidelity, mister Wayne.”, after a moment of silence, his image raised his hand, pointing his index finger to the roof while speaking, “Unlike IGBC and other institutions of such, we do not take sides in any war rushing through the galaxy. For that is what make us different, we are but neutral, and will always ensure that our clients are protected. IGBC supported both sides of the Clone Wars, raising obvious taxes for the Old Republic and very little for the Separatists. We shall never do that. Conflict of interests is our bond. Never we shall support, take or loan money to your enemies.” And that was no lie. The Bank of the Core had a famous and long term history for not doing things like, for they believed in trust as a principle to ensure fidelity with the old clients. In the Clone Wars, they never did any business with separatists planets, remaining faithful in the Days of the Empire as well.

“The IGBE would charge you for those millions at least ten percent for this deal, but in here? Your business will not just be protected in the Bank of the Core, but they shall be suggested to all our clients in need of your expertise. With a well known growth rate of 5% per year, your money shall grow like a exorgoth, and we, unlike our competitors, have the smallest interests taxes in all civilized galaxy.”, putting his arm down and back to his back, Iedolas leaned forward to speak to Judas with that calm tone of his voice, "And if you ever find any smallest fee in the galaxy other than us and the Hutts, you sir, could shoot me."
