- Name:
- Official Name: RRID-01
- Street Name: Rids
- Manufacturer:
- Affiliation: Mandalorians
- Market Status: Open Market
- Modularity: No
- Production: Minor
- Material:
- Injection Device
- Injection Components
- Adrenal - Stimulant
- Behot - Mild Stimulant, Calming Effects, can help with upset stomach
- Bubse Spice - Anesthetic
- Pommwomm - Catalyst
- Bacta - Main transference method, and healing substance.
- Classification: Medical Injection Device
- Method of Consumption: Injection through muscle tissue/Bloodstream
- Average Life: Sealed containment in favorable conditions can result in a 3 year life span. Should a seal be broken, or damage to the injection device, life expectancy drastically drops to mere hours.
- Nutritional Value/Allergies/Side Effects/ Purpose: While there is no nutritional value, in of itself, the concoction of medication does rapidly inject a fair amount of medicine into the body. This can cause the injected patient to suddenly feel like there is a growth in the affected area. The initial injection produces a sudden increase in adrenaline. The stimulation is to provide an increase in the "fight of flight" response of an individual. However, a mild calming effect is also produced to prevent the individual from making brash decisions if in a dangerous situation. The Anesthetic aids in fighting any potential pain of the injuries sustained. However, while the jab itself is very painful, the anesthetic will slowly stave it off. Of course, with the main ingredient being that of Bacta. One that will aid in the facilitation of the wounds or injuries sustained by the victim. Some Side effects is the previously mentioned feeling of a large bruse or blister under the surface of the skin, and muscle tissue. Over a period of a few minutes, this feeling will fade. Should the injected individual be already in a heightened state of adrenaline, it can "overclock" the body and cause jittering, or shakes of the body, and should too many applications be applied in a short duration of time, it can cause the body's organs to be overloaded with adrenaline causing bouts of pain mainly within the stomach/gut, heart pains, Numbness in the extremities, and face. Most worryingly, it can cause damage to the heart, or hearts of the individual. Allergic reactions should not be a problem, however, should a patient have Hemophilia, or using medication for thinning of the blood, can cause the patient to rapidly lose blood due to the increase in blood flow from the stimulant.
- Injectable bacta, and stimulant on the go.
- Injectable stimulant and healing properties.
- Aids in emergency responses to injuries.
- Easy to carry in most medpacks.
- Same cartridge can be used multiple times (5)
- Thinned blood leads to rapid loss of blood through injection site, or through other injuries.
- Does not work for fatal wounds such as heart damage, brain damage, or the like.
- Only staves off injuries, does not fix, or repair them.
- Doesn't do anything for broken bones, or body parts that would require more delicate medical attention.
- Temporary "Blister" feeling underneath the skin/muscle layers.
- Needle is strong enough to pierce through thick skins, but not plate armor. Requires armor removal, or a location with a wealth of tissue to be applied. Such as Thigh, buttocks, Deltoid/upper arm.
- Using the same injection pod, on different individuals can cause transference of blood born pathogens, diseases, and the like. Recommended to use the 5 doses only for one patient.
Created for the explicit purpose of being a readily administered drug concoction of stimulants, batca, and medicinals, the RRID-01 is an easily stored, easily used injection device designed to be used in medical emergencies. The main premise is to be a small dosage of medicine in which can stave off serious injuries. Multiple use canisters allow for the singular patient to receive only up to the recommended 5 doses.
