Ri'ess / Emeritus Industries: Pulling Out

| [member="Vitor Imperieuse"] |

Alicia was sat at the holo-conference, ready to end the saga between herself and the corporation in question. The Ri'ess-Emeritus merger had been the final straw. It undermined her position as owner, having not been consulted about the matter in the first place. It was a blatant showing of disrespect, that would not be tolerated. Obviously, her supposed new partner did not show the same level of respect that Circe Savan had in the past.

Truthfully, Alicia had been looking to pull out of Emeritus the moment it became clear that Vitor Imperieuse had inherited Savan's shares. When she had first joined Circe as her partner, Alicia had been under the pretense that Emeritus Industries would become hers upon Savan's death. That all of her shares would pass onto Alicia, making her the sole owner. But obviously, Savan had other ideas, and given Emeritus current ties to the Galactic Republic, it was no longer viable for Alicia to remain tied to the company.

She knew she could sue Vitor and Saera. She had a great case for it. But she did not want the attention and such a maneuver would create unwanted enemies, particularly the vixen, who had always hated her for her relations with her late wife. No, Alicia would come to an agreement with Vitor, before it ever reached a court room.

Activating her hologram, Alicia leaned forward to speak into the intercom, communicating with her partner. "Vitor, it is time for us to part ways. I can no longer do business with you or Emeritus. I am transmitting my demands in return for the shares that I have left in the company. Then we can be done with this saga."

Typing in her demands, Alicia then leaned back as they scrolled across screen. They included:

One of the Cortosis mines on Obradaan.
Rights for the use of Adamithium for construction and production.
The patents and designs for the Annihilator-class boarding shuttles.
The robes of Darth Bane.
20,000,000cr in punitive damages.

Vitor would respond with one word.

"K"

Along with that message would come shopping information for Darth Bane's robe, a receipt for the credits transfer, the paperwork marking her as owner of one of the cortosis mines on Obradaan, a paper affirming her right to use adamithium, and the patents and design of the Annihilator boarding shuttle.

It was done - that simple.

It was done. Alicia released a long, elongated sigh. She had envisoned great things for Emeritus Industries. A company that would become as synonymous as Kuat Drive Yards or Sienar Fleet Systems. The wealth and accumulated power that the company would provide would in turn exhilarate the plans that she had. But Circe Savan, even in death, had betrayed her, leaving it to this pompous tit. Suffice to say, she was angry about the entire debacle surrounding the company, but she hadn't left empty handed.

"Thank you, Vitor. Good luck with the company," Alicia said with an air of finality to her voice. Shutting off the holo-conference, she rose to her feet to claim the assets she had taken with her. She decided that she would begin with the Cortosis mine on Obredaan. Selecting the largest deposit of Cortosis, based on the last surveys conducted by Emeritus Industries, Alicia would take that particular mine for herself. Contacting Obredaan authorities to show the deal that she had struck with Vitor, the Cortosis mine was transferred to her control.

Next, Alicia contacted Emeritus Industries reps to say her goodbyes. Moving to transfer the patents of the Annihilator-class boarding shuttles to her control, she discovered that they had been sold a couple of years ago by Circe herself. This only served to anger Alicia further. Making note that the Annihilators neither belonged to herself or Emeritus Industries, Alicia moved on to the next piece.

The robes of Darth Bane was a exotic piece that Alicia had negotiated for. Sending for the piece, she expected that it would arrive on Sojourn in the next coming weeks, to join the growing collection of dark side artifacts that she was beginning to amass within the Fort. Gaining the piece had made the entire affair seem worth it. Even the loss of the Annihilator patents seemed to make up for it.

Last but not least, Alicia checked her bank account and saw that a cool twenty million credits had joined her personal fortune. Satisfied with her lot, she turned away from her seat to retire for the night.

Vitor shrugged, a smile on his face. Now that Alicia was gone, he had true control over the company. Not to mention he wouldn't have to worry about a Sith trying to usurp him or otherwise bugger things up. A droid would've wrapped up the robe of Darth Bane, folding it up and adequately preparing it for shipping.

Now, it was time to relax.

Alicia awoke the next day, discovering that her former partner in Ri'ess-Emeritus Industries had prepared for the Sith artifact for transport. Pleased, Alicia made the necessary arrangements at the Fort to receive the package that Vitor was sending to her.

Whilst she waited for the package, Alicia would focus her attention on the recent Spaarti Creations auction that was currently underway. Whilst the Robe of Darth Bane was sent to Sojourn, she would enter a furious bidding war with the elitists of the business world for the cloning corporation and it's technology.

Alicia reclined in her seat, exasperated and tired. All her attention had been spent on the Spaarti Creations auction, from the moment Patricia Susan Garter had put the corporation up for sale. For the past few days, she had been focused entirely on the bidding war that had followed. She had tried to swindle, outmaneuver and outplay her opponents in the war, by setting up back up plans and creating alliances. In the end, the corporation had fallen into the hands of the Republic's Appropriation Committee, leaving the bitter taste of defeat in the mouth.

She had not emerged from the war without having gained something, however. In it's final days, Alicia had personally reached out to Patricia, to inquire about Spaarti's cloning technology. Much to her surprise, the now former CEO of Spaarti Creations had acknowledged her inquiry and subsequently gave the technology to her for free. As her opponents fought for Spaarti in the last days, the corporations famous cloning technology was en route to Chandrila, compliments of Patricia in her final days as CEO.

And then there was Galven Solomon and GOMM. The Galactic Overwatch of Military Minarchy was a minor group, regarded as unimportant to the larger galactic powers. But it did have a fleet and aims that Alicia could use. It aimed to end the corporate monopoly that was taking over the Galaxy. It was why Solomon, leader of GOMM, had involved himself in the bidding war over Spaarti Creations, so as to stop Alric Kuhn and Danger Arceneau acquiring another company to join the many others at their disposal.

Joining forces with Galven, Alicia had launched a substantial bid beside her new ally, only for it to be turned away. Despite this, Alicia had gained the appreciation of the Admiral and the future allegiance of GOMM when it came to future investments and endeavors. Furthermore, in private communications, Galven had offered her a position as the head of GOMM's Research and Development for biology. Thus, there was still a route to bringing the JN Project to fruition, albeit a slippery one. If Galven became aware of what Alicia planned for the JN clones, then it would surely end their partnership.

Despite all of this, losing out on Spaarti Creations had made her angry. Extremely angry. It took all of Alicia's control to turn the monitor off in front of her without breaking it's screen or buttons. She then stood up from her seat and turned to leave the room, to exercise her rage on something that wasn't valuable to her.

How dare they oppose me, thought Darth Ayra as she exited the room. Spaarti Creations should be mine. All mine. How did I lose? Turning the corner, Ayra made her way down the hallway, seething. Is this payback for what happened at Carida? Reaching out into the Force, Ayra attempted to gleam a glimpse for the reasons why she had lost to the Republic. Caius Flavian, Senator of Carida, was once a Commodore in the Imperial Remnant and her partner in the failed Imperial Arms Incorporated venture. In the final days of the remnant, she had met with him to discuss the company and left the meeting as the sole owner of it, after forcing Flavian to sign over the Remnants shares over to her.

Immediately after leaving the meeting, she had called James Justice to assist her in the seizure of Imperial assets. Darth Ayra had been sure that the contract she had forced Flavian to sign gave her everything. All the patents, designs and ownership of the Remnants technology, including it's star ships, vehicles and other trinkets. She imagined that Imperial Arms Incorporated would be born out of the ashes of the Imperial Remnant, emerging with all of it's technology as a kick starter for the corporations future success.

Instead, it had been revealed to her that the contract she had carefully pieced together did not cover what it was supposed too. She did not own the Victory III-class Star Destroyer or anything else. The gambit to take everything for what the Imperial Remnant had failed. Had it cost her now? With the former Commodore now sitting on the Republic Senate, it had been his offer- combined with the Republic Appropriation Committee- that had seized Spaarti Creations away from her.

Feeling out in the Force, she wondered if this was the dark side's retribution for her previous failures. She had failed to trick Flavian to pass over the Imperial Remnants assets alongside Imperial Arms Incorporated; and now months down the line, the former Commodore had been essential in the Republic's victory over her. Was this punishment for failing? She did not know. As she felt for the power of the dark side, Darth Ayra did not feel any less powerful. Guided by it's embrace, it had not failed the Sith Lord yet. It had told her went to strike, when to act and when not too. So why had she failed?

Climbing the stairway down from the upper levels of the Fort and down into it's atrium, Darth Ayra raised the cowl of her robe above her head and concealed herself away as she made her way to the entrance. Lifting both hands forward, the Sith grabbed hold of the wooden gates ahead of her. Normally, she would open them with her power in the Force, enjoying the fact that she could exert her will over anything, gifting her a momentary sense of satisfaction. But not tonight. No, she required to know if the dark side was still aligned to her and so she would not use it this time, instead bringing her things over the cold, unfamiliar knob of the gate and opening it to expose herself and the atrium to the cold gusts outside.

Stepping over the threshold of the Fort's entrance, Darth Ayra found herself on a granite ramp that led down into the front of the Fort's grounds. If she had spent the money and time, she would have imagined that the front to the building would have been a beautiful garden. It would have been pleasing to the eye, but the Sith Lord required no such appeasement. Her wealth was a resource to her plans, only used to forward her ambitions and the Grand Plan that Darth Pandeima had put into motion twenty years ago. Spending her credits on unnecessary things, such as the garden, would be a violation of her core ethics.

Wasting resources only put her behind, and she was already behind enough as it was, considering the failures she had suffered beneath Pandeima. For the first time since she had murdered her Sith Master, Darth Ayra had failed to achieve something. Everything that she had done since she had taken the mantle away had been complete successes. She had successfully gained the allegiance of James Justice. She had joined the Black Tie Syndicate, gaining access to the Horde Holocron and the Sith'ari's own Lightsaber. She had even found her apprentice, inside the crypt of the JN Project on Duro.

But she had failed to gain Spaarti Creations. She was Darth Ayra, the Dark Lord of the Sith, only to be defeated by the Republic's Appropriation Committee? It was laughable, almost comical, if not for the defeat that now pranged her. How could she ever set in motion the events that would lead to the destruction of the Jedi Order, if could be so easily outmaneuvered and swayed by the Senators of the Republic? The answer was simple.

She could not.

Making her way down the ramp and into the front grounds, Darth Ayra passed by overturned rocks, overgrown bushes and unfamiliar plant life, which she considered to be ugly. She had chosen Sojourn as her home because of a venture she had undertaken on Muunilinst eight years ago, during her formative years under Darth Pandeima. Together, Sith Master and Apprentice had traveled to Harnaidan, to meet with Serj Sularis to discuss Chandrila DataTech, the company she had inherited from her father after his death.

The Muuns were extremely protective over their homeworld. To protect it's vast resources and the beauty of it's oceans, islands and cities, they had bared all traffic entering the Muunilinst system from landing on the planets surface. Instead, outsiders that came and went had to dock with the Skyhook that led down into Harnaidan; and they would have to have a reason for them to be allowed access to the planet's surface, otherwise outsiders would be turned away.

Following the Four Hundred Year Darkness, this practice had been abandoned, but the staunch resolve of the Muuns to protect what they owned had increased a hundredfold. Aware of this, the Sith had devised a meeting with the InterGalactic Banking Clan, so as to support their ulterior motives. Finding traces that Darth Plagueis, a Dark Lord of the Sith that had once ruled in the Rule of Two, was a member of the Muun species, Darth Ayra had requested that she and her Master devise a way to visit Muunilinst, so as to uncover more information about their predecessor.

Tracing the Damask Clan to the island of Aborah, they discovered an abandoned mansion sat on top of an old but extensive laboratory that was hidden underneath. It had been there that the Sith discovered that Plagueis had been Hego Damask, a wealthy and powerful member of the Banking Clan centuries ago. Little traces remained of the Muun, almost as if someone had tried to cover his existence up, but they had failed to sever the connection between Plagueis and the Hunter Moon's.

Traveling to Sojourn, Darth Ayra had discovered the remnants of a grand building, that was almost fort like. Judging by the destruction caused to the building, it appeared to her that the area itself had been bombarded by someone a long time ago. In the centuries since, nature had done it's work, with new trees, grass and plant fire coming to fruition over the remnants. The dark side of the Force was strong on Sojourn, and envisioning a time where she required somewhere away from Chandrila, Darth Ayra had the build rebuilt to her own customization. She had named her home as the Fort due to it's look. Ever since, she had enjoyed it's seclusion and protection, using it as the place to craft her plot to destroy the Jedi, as Darth Plagueis had done centuries before her.

The meeting itself had gone well, with the InterGalactic Banking Clan lending the Sith the funds that they required to invest into DataTech and turn it into a success, something that it was not by the time it had fallen into their hands. But under Pandeima, the growth of the company had stalled as Ayra's Sith Master focused on arcane procedures in Sith Alchemy and nonsensical adventures across the Galaxy in the pursuit of things to enjoy, all at the expense of the Grand Plan and the true canonizations of the Rule of Two.

Darth Ayra believed that she understood what Darth Bane had tried to accomplish when he had destroyed the Sith and created the Rule of Two. Despite the Four Hundred Year Darkness, that had confined many things to myth and legend, she had spent her time under Pandeima into delving deep into the past, to uncover what had been lost. It had taken a long to find the bits and pieces that were missing, due more than anything else to the simplistic, selfish and disgusting desires of her Sith Master, but in the end, Darth Ayra believed that she understood at least what the Rule of Two was supposed to be.

In the final years under Pandeima, Ayra became to understand that her Sith Master had come up with a bastardized version of the Rule of Two. As she sought a way to become immortal, Pandeima wanted someone beautiful, exotic and powerful to serve her for the rest of time. Her version did not require Ayra to try and usurp her one day nor did it require for the both of them to work together in the effort to destroy the Jedi, but instead to be complacent and content in luxury, enjoyment and comfortableness.

When Darth Ayra struck Pandeima down, she had set the Rule of Two back into what it was supposed to be. One Master to embody power and one Apprentice to crave it. But how could she embody power if she lost to mere Senators? How could she ever bring the Rule of Two to fruition? Losing out on Spaarti Creations meant more than losing out on it's wealth, technology and resources. It was a sign that the dark side was not aligned to her, and if that was the truth, then she was never worthy of bringing the Rule of Two back into creation and resurrecting the Order of the Sith Lords that the Sith'ari, Darth Bane, had founded all those centuries ago.

There was a trial that Darth Ayra knew of, however. One that would tell her the answers she required to her questions. If she passed, then she could be content knowing she was the one to bring the Rule of Two to power and be the founding principle of the generations of Sith Lords that would follow her. A legacy of Sith that would one day culminate in the destruction of the Jedi.

In her quest to discover more about Darth Bane and the Sith Lords that had followed him, Darth Ayra had years delved into the archives, books and scrolls that she could get her hands on. When Darth Pandeima revealed the concept of the Rule of Two to her, she had allowed her Apprentice to delve into the small collection that she had accumulated since becoming a Sith Lord.

She had visited the Sith Academy on Korriban, when Kaine Zambrano ruled the Sith Empire as it's Emperor, delving herself in what the Empire had gathered since Darth Moridin had founded it. Then, when the One Sith had revealed themselves on Coruscant and took it from the Galactic Republic, Darth Ayra had gained access to the Jedi archives that were left behind.

In her pursuit of knowledge on the Rule of Two, Darth Ayra had learned much. She had traced the connection between Darth Plagueis the Wise, whose legend and myth still continued to be whispered into the modern age, to his home on the island of Aborah, that had led her to Sojourn. She had gained an understanding of the core concepts of the Rule of Two and why Darth Bane had founded it, resulting in the death of her Sith Master, who had bastardized it. But before Darth Ayra had struck Darth Pandeima on Coruscant, she had traveled to the long lost world of Kursid to participate in an ancient ritual, stretching back to the first Sith Lords that had joined the Order of the Sith Lords.

To commemorate the beginning of their relationship as Master and Apprentice, the Banites had traveled to Kursid, to challenge the native warriors in combat. Traveling there, Darth Ayra begun the trial as she understood it, first flying the Initium over their villages to signify that the Sith had returned and then waiting for them on the ridge of a hill, where an ancient statue had been erected to worship the two hooded aliens that came to the warriors home every century.

For the first time in a thousand years, the challenge on Kursid had been put into motion and the warriors had answered it's called. Together, the lone Sith Lord and one hundred warriors fought, drenching the hill in a river of blood, body and flesh as Darth Ayra unleashed all of her hatred, rage and pain upon them, so as to anoint herself in the favor of the dark side. The battle had lasted a day, with the warriors and their numbers, combined with their brutality and strength, matching the lonesome Sith and the power of the dark side. But by days end, a lonesome figure stood at the top of the hill, drenched in blood and her body cleansed by it, as the dark side anointed her as the next Dark Lord of the Sith.

Completing the trial on Kursid had given Darth Ayra a renewed sense of purpose. But now, stung by defeat, she required another acknowledgement in the Force. Clearing the vicinity of the Fort, Darth Ayra entered the forest, her lightsaber a comfortable weight on her hip as she made her way deeper into the Hunter's Moon to begin her next trial.

It was dark. The forest was alive, with a symphony of crickets, whirs and bellowing wind accompanying the crunching of grass beneath Darth Ayra's boots, as she made her way deeper into the forest. It was extremely cold and wet, with rain season on Sojourn just ending and moving into winter. Wisps of light white fog rose from Ayra's mouth as she exhaled. She followed them as they rose before dissipating into the wind, remembering how amused she used to be by the experience as a child. The brief remembrance of her formative years were put out of her mind. They made her weak and on this night, she could not afford any weakness.

For the past few months, the Sun Guards who served her explained that there was a new predator in the nearby forest, resulting in the death of one of them. Darth Ayra had paid no attention to the plights of her guardsmen. It did not affect her in the slightest. It was their problem. Taking the death of their comrade as a challenge, the Sun Guards had launched several expeditions ever since, venturing deep into the heart of the forest for days at a time. They had encountered wild Rancors, Orryxians, Dire-cats, Akk Wolfs and Energy Spiders, which Darth Ayra knew to have been imported to the forest by Darth Plagueis, when he had lived on Sojourn. But none of them matched the wounds and injuries that the Sun Guard had sustained, when he had been attacked on a routine patrol around the forest.

The wildlife that the Sun Guards encountered had not survived, such was the ferocity and drive that they had to avenge their fallen brother. Darth Ayra knew that the wildlife that lived on the Hunter's Moon were no small fries. Only the best of the best could survive an encounter with a creature such as a Energy Spider and it was why she had recruited the Sun Guards of Sojourn into her service because they were the best of the best. But the mysterious creature, who had killed one of them, had continued to elude the Sun Guards who were hunting for it.

To elude the Sun Guards was no small feat. Darth Ayra wasn't even sure if she could hide from the Sun Guards, if they were to ever hunt after her. Such was the level of their training and expertise. For the trial that Darth Ayra had in mind, the mysterious creature they had hunted would prove a worthy opponent. A trial by combat, to test her strength and powers in the dark side. If she died, then she was not worthy of being the Dark Lord of the Sith and was not the one to bring the Rule of Two into power, if it was ever supposed to be in the first place. After all, the woman that had begun Darth Ayra's road down to power was a weakling.

Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. The Sith Code was spoken in silence, moving through her mind, as the Dark Lord made her way further and further into the forest, on the hunt for this mysterious predator. She passed by predators that would have been worthy opponents in themselves, but on this night, she was the apex predator and her powers in the dark side could even be felt by the animals, who shied away from the fight, content to keep their lives.

Snap-hiss. The illumination of Darth Ayra's lightsaber was a eruption in the night, it's crimson light basking her in a ruby red as she walked. She felt that she was close. As she had walked deeper into the forest, Darth Ayra had begun to sense her opponent. She could feel the dark side within the creature and she knew that it's mind, instincts and abilities had been empowered by the dark side of the Force, that was so strong on the Hunter's Moon that it inhabited. She was drawn towards it's hatred and sense of blood lust, almost tasting the congealed taste of it's preys blood as she got closer and closer to it. Darth Ayra imagined the way it must have felt for the creature to sink it's teeth into the Sun Guard that it had killed and the exhilaration as it eluded the other Sun Guards who tried to hunt it.

It has displayed a subtly that matched the Sith Lords own, but the realms in which the two hunted were vastly different. On Sojourn, it was all about survival, instinct and strength, as it dominated it's competition and hunted down it's prey, becoming the king of the forest. Whereas Darth Ayra found herself dealing with bureaucrats, business men and criminals, who demanded a different tact so that she could hunt them down and get what she wanted out of them. Whereas this mysterious creature hunted for the meat and bones of it's opponents, Ayra wanted her prey to give her all the resource, wealth and knowledge she could acquire to further the Grand Plan. They were entirely different types of predators, and yet at the same time, they were the king and queen of their realms, now drawn together by the power of the dark side to challenge one another to the death, so as to claim supremacy over the other.

Darth Ayra found herself in an unfamiliar part of Sojourn. She had explored the nearby forests, so as to understand the vicinity that her home inhabited better. Back then, she had been guarded by the Sun Guards, safe and protected with the Fort and it's walls only a small distance away. But she had been walking for hours now and the distance between herself and her home was far and wide. Never before, had she been this deep in the forest and for the first time, in a very long time, Darth Ayra felt the sensation of nervousness creep over her. It was a feeling she had not felt in years. She confident in her own abilities and power, the feeling had long since been destroyed, as her subordinates, associates and opponents cowered before her intelligence, strength and power.

As she stood still, allowing the feeling to overcome her, Darth Ayra wondered if she too had become content and weak, just as Darth Pandeima had. No longer challenged, Ayra did not know what it was like to be nervous or even fearful anymore. She had maintained her training regiments, so as to keep her body and skills strong, but all of that meant nothing if her powers in the dark side dwindled. Caught in the life of Alicia Drey, had Darth Ayra lost what all of it really meant?

Drawn towards the lightsaber of her lightsaber, something emerged from the trees ahead. Yellow, predatory eyes stared out from beneath the veil of darkness created by the forest, glaring into the Sith Lord before it. Unleashing a scream, Darth Ayra brandished her lightsaber in front of her and charged into the darkness, so as to combat what was before her. She would no longer be held back by her inhibitions, instead choosing to fully embrace the dark side once and give it what it wanted: death.

The Sun Guards of Sojourn were in a state of frenzy, when news came that their mistress, Alicia Drey, had disappeared overnight. It wasn't uncommon for her to leave at odds times in the middle of the night. As a business woman, they knew that she was demanded in other places, making it rare for her to return to Sojourn. But whenever she did, she always made sure to pass on to the Stellar Tribune awake and on duty that night that she was leaving Sojourn.

For her to simply disappear and not return set off alarm bells. When it became clear that she was no longer on the property, the Sun Guards were put into motion for her search. They looked to see if any ships had come and gone from the Sojourn system, but found none. It was possible that a cloaked ship could have landed, but if someone had tried to kidnap Alicia, they surely would have known, such was the security grid they had in place over the Fort and surrounding forest.

But the security grid hadn't been set off, indicating that she had left the property herself. The only destination that she could have ventured to was the forest, and with that in mind, the Sun Guards had prepared themselves to venture into the forest to find her. But before they could move out, one of the Stellar Legionnaires reported movement at the edge of the forest. Swarming out of the Fort, the Sun Guards charged forward to find the trespasser. They were under strict instructions to execute anyone who trespassed.

Darth Ayra emerged from the forest, dragging something behind her. Pieces of her robe had been torn in places and she was limping on one food. Her left arm dangled beside her, currently useless. Her battle with the mysterious predator, who had eluded the Sun Guards and dominated the Sojourn forest had put up a hell of a fight. She was covered in gashes, bite marks and blood trickled slowly along her right leg, which was dragged along as the Dark Lord made her way back to the Fort, making sure that the creature she had killed was taken with her.

"My Lord," stammered the Stellar Tribune, Leon Argas, as he moved through the group of Stellar Legionnaires towards her. "You are hurt! What happened?"

"Your mysterious foe," muttered Darth Ayra. Swinging her hand forward, she launched the creature at the feet of Argas and his men. They looked down to see a giant of a Vanx laying there, covered cauterized wounds, with one large slash covering it's neck. Speechless, the Sun Guards parted ways for the Dark Lord as she limped her way into the Fort.

It had been a week since her fight with the Vanx. Darth Ayra had spent the time in seclusion, allowing only her servants to disturb her to apply bacta to her injuries before retreating. During this time, the Robes of Darth Bane, given to her by Vitor Imperieuse as they settled over Ri'ess-Emeritus Industries, had finally arrived. She knew that she was worthy of them, as well as the other artifacts, knowledge and trinkets she had acquired over the years, after passing her trial by combat. No, the dark side had not abandoned her. It had only wished to remind her that even the slightest moments of complacency could mean her downfall. She would endeavor not to fail again.

It was time to meet with JN-4. She had allowed the clone to live in the Fort by herself, whilst she had focused on the Spaarti Creations auction and then the recovery that followed her trial of combat. Darth Ayra knew that it was time to leave Sojourn. She needed to test the clone, to see if she was worthy of becoming her Sith Apprentice. At the same time, the Dark Lord knew that she required more knowledge on the dark side. Her research under Darth Pandeima, as well as her time on Korriban and Coruscant was not enough. She knew where she needed to go next.

Darth Bane, she thought as she climbed to the highest tower on Sojourn. It would be there that she would speak to JN-4. I need you to show me more. After I have spoken to her, I will find your tomb on Korriban and there you will show me the wisdom of the dark side.
