THE BEGINNING

Rigard Verd was born in the war camp of Halik Falkosi to a young human female. She was an orphan taken in and eventually become mando'ad. Training under several she had gravitated to Halik and began honing her abilities and skills. But one thing that could not be cured was her fondness of drink.

And it was on a night of drunken revelry with another youth that Rigard Verd was conceived.

Hardly any memory of that night remained the next morning save for the fumbling, intoxicated hands of two young soldiers finding solitude in liquor and the hesitant, inexperienced intimacy of physical endeavors. The next day was the last time Errie would ever see her midnight tryst's lover, Isley Verd.

A month later Errie realized she was pregnant when she was getting her abdomen scanned because of a serious knife wound from a hunt. Leaving Halik and the troupe of vode she went to Keldabe to find a healer to remove the tumor growing in her uterus. But a random act of Fate sealed her destiny and the destiny of the unborn child. A stray slug hit her in the head from a bar fight that started down the street, causing brain damage and an eight month coma.

When the baby was born the event ended Errie's coma, at the cost of her life. A datapad found in her belongings had a message for the child, written hastily as an apology, which stated that she would remember his name even though he would be gone from the world. His name was Rigard Verd.

A MANDALORIAN

Young Riggs was raised by a hard, older couple on a secluded settlement for the first twelve years of his life. The couple were clanless, yet followed the resol'nare with strict obedience and instilled that into their adopted son. Jark, a skilled and famed melee fighter, trained his son in the art the blade while Hela taught her son the skills of tracking, hunting, and the silent kill.

Often, even as a young child, the boy would join his parents in their many hunts, assignments, and even the occasional raiding mission. But at the age of twelve his parents were killed hunting a Sith Lord, on the planet Onderon, and he was left at the mercy of the Sith. As the Dark Lord advanced upon the boy, young Riggs let out a wave of telekinesis that shoved the Sith back. But it was not enough to deter the Sith from advancing to finish the child.

Before the crimson blade swept through the preteen a group of four interceded, attacking unarmed. After several minutes the Sith Lord lay dead along with three of the other figures. The last approached the boy and waved his hand, putting the child to sleep.

Awakening much later Riggs found himself on a bunk of a ship headed to an unknown location. The man, who's name was revealed to be Shiv, told him he was a force warrior and that Riggs too could become one. With vengeance heavy in his heart Riggs agreed to train and learn to control the newfound ability.

FORCE WARRIOR

Years passed and the young mando'ad became strong in the force. Yet despite everything the warriors tried, Riggs was only able to imbue his body in the Force and use a single force ability: telekinesis. So Riggs studied and focused, growing powerful, resilient, and creative with his abilities to make up for the lack of other abilities.

Continuing to hone the skills taught by his buirs he also focused on his training with the warriors until one day he decided it was time to find out who he was and where his place was within the Galaxy. Tearfully Shiv wished him good fortune and Riggs was off, headed home to Manda'yaim to find his destiny.

THE PRODIGAL SON OF MANDA'YAIM

Once on Mandalore he returned to the old settlement that had dropped into ruin. Rummaging through the remains he collected several items before finding the trunk in his buir's workshop. Removing the lid he collected the tomahawks, a beskar kal, and the datachip of his mother's message. Watching the recording he finally knew who his father was, Isley Verd. Collecting a few mementos he returned to Keldabe to find traces of his father. Soon enough he heard that he had went to Dathomir with several other vode. Collecting his gear Riggs found passage to this other planet.

WITCHES OF DATHOMIR

Once arriving it was apparent he had missed Isley again. But while planet side he met and fell for a witch. Despite the alliance between the mandos and the witches, Riggs was viewed as unworthy to mate with a daughter of Dathomir. A challenge was given and the cocky, stubborn Riggs eagerly accepted to prove his worth, not aware that agreeing to the deal was meant to end in his death.

So Riggs found himself in the crucible. Three tests that were meant to weed out the weak and promote only the strongest of the strong. With his natural abilities, affinity with the force, and sheer stubbornness he managed to survive and beat all others.

Yet despite passing the gauntlet to prove his worth, the woman he loved mated with another believing that Riggs would fail and die. Disillusioned and jaded he accepted the roll of Hunter within the ranks and began learning of Dathomir Magik. But again he proved that while he far exceeded the power of others, his lack of other abilities made him a pariah.

Undeterred by the thoughts of others he stripped the knowledge he could gain and use from the witches while performing his duties above and beyond reproach. During this time he was gifted a telescoping Pike crafted by Dathomir Magiks that was invulnerable to lightsaber blades, as most weaponry of the witches were thus imbued.

IRONY OF THE FATES

After completing a mission after several years with the witches Riggs decided it was time to continue his own path. So he never returned to Dathomir, choosing to become a soldier, a mercenary, a bounty Hunter, a sellsword.

And thus he found himself answering two calls. One for mercenaries that would be paid handsomely by the faction who was recruiting, the Confederacy of Independent Systems. And secondly he could finally lay eyes on the father he never knew, Isley Verd.
