Type of Contract Desired: Faction: Individual, Faction: Corporate, Faction: Faction
Number of Contracts Offered: Unlimited, available to persons, parties, and all other entities whose histories, conditions, and acts do not nullify contract qualifications, as listed in the contract. One contract per ship is required.
Contract Description:
Be it known that [Contracter], owner of the private vessel [Vessel Name], is now recognized by the Rimward Trade League as licensed to conduct raids upon the governments, subsidiaries, organizations, and supporters identified as hostile; to capture such cargo, properties and vessels as the duly-identified governments, subsidiaries, organizations, and supporters may own, and to deliver them unto the Rimward Trade League Admiralty Courts. Further, to capture officers of the duly-identified military, governments, subsidiaries, organizations, and supporters. [Contracter] is also authorized and expected to pursue any and all formally declared wars against the governments, subsidiaries, organizations, and supporters as able, while in no case endangering the innocent civilian public and without causing undue damage to property.
The owner of this contract shall surrender all proceeds of such activities to the review of the Rimward Trade League Admiralty Court, and in return shall be awarded 50 percent of their value. The Rimward Trade League Admiralty Court shall also award fixed bounties for the confirmed destruction of properties belonging to duly-identified hostile governments, subsidiaries, militaries, organizations, and supporters.
In return, the Rimward Trade League shall render such aid as it can, subject to availability and discretion, including shelter, intelligence, repair, stocking, and fueling. Those members of the crew, formerly criminals, are hereby granted amnesty, so long as they serve our cause and do not commit further crimes against the Rimward Trade League or governments, corporations, militaries, entities, subsidiaries, and supports not duly-noted as hostile. Should they do so, they shall be subject to all charges, and summarily imprisoned. All slaves found in the course of duty shall be free, all illicit substances destroyed. The Rimward Trade League may choose to buy an entire cargo, as needed.
This letter shall hold in effect for one year from its date, when it shall be reviewed. If either party is dissatisfied, the contract may be dissolved. The Rimward Trade League reserves the right to assign observers to the ship, for the purpose of this review.
If [contractor] takes possession of a Letter of Marque and Reprisal from any other government, entity, or organization, then this contract is made null and void. If [Contractor] enters official service with any government, this contract is made null and void. If, in the course of fulfilling this contract, [Contractor] causes bodily or material harm to any persons, entities, organizations, governments, militaries, subsidiaries, and supporters not duly-identified as hostile, [Contractor] assumes all responsibility for damages and reparations. If [Contractor] engages in behavior or activities widely regard as cruel or unnecessarily harsh, at the discretion of the Rimward Trade League Admiralty Court, this contract shall be revoked and [Contractor] assumes all legal and criminal responsibilities. If [Contractor] has a record of actions considered war crimes, crimes against sentiments, unlawful executions, torture, or other such actions as to reflect poorly upon the reputation and image of the Rimward Trade League, its associates, subsidiaries, militaries, and supporters, this contract is made null and void. By taking prisoners, [Contractor] agrees to assume responsibility for their well-being until said prisoners are tried before a Rimward Trade League Admiralty or Civil Court, granting them all necessities for their well-being, ensuring no bodily harm befalls said prisoners, and according to them all protections, privileges, and support deemed appropriate to Prisoners of War, as defined by the Rimward Trade League Admiralty Court and intergovernmental consensus on the treatment of prisoners.
