OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
- Intent: To create plausible internal deniability for Sardun.
- Canon Link: /
- Primary Source: /
- Name: Ring of Judgement
- Manufacturer: Dzujen'qo.
- Affiliation: Michael Sardun
- Modularity: No
- Production: Unique
- Material: Alchemized metals, kyber crystals.
- Classification: Artifact
- Size: Average
- Weight: Heavy
- Weaver: At its heart the ring specializes in one thing- it shields Sardun from the effects of his actions. It keeps his presence in the Force firmly anchored into the Lightside. This allows the potential of committing deep atrocities and horrible acts, but the corruption of the Dark would find no purchase on the Jedi. He is unaware of this effect.
Web: Those that swear loyalty to Sardun inherit some of the effects of the ring. Akin to a smaller passive Force Bond, they too become resistant against the corruption of the Darkside and do not feel the ravages of its insidious effects on their body and connection to the Force. Furthermore the connected receive other boons- they do not tire as easily, their wounds do not incapacitate them as much, their minds are more resilient against the horrors they witness.
[*]Multiplier: It enhances his strength and ability within the Force. Similar to the way the ancient Codex worked, but not to the same effect.
[*]Truth: It increases his capabilities with Force Sense. Allowing him to better recognize lies from the truth... to some degree. It does not prevent his inner biases from coming out and influencing his perspective. Neither does it stop him from the lies he tells himself.
Strengths:
- Apex: It increases the capacity and ability of the wearer in the Force.
- Pure: It allows the wearer to avoid becoming corrupted, even if they perform acts of the dark.
- Web: It is capable of sharing some of its effects with those sworn to the wearer.
- Force Null: From Ysalamir to Voidstone, there are many ways for this ring to be turned inert, while under their influence.
- Stealth: It is a beacon in the Force. You aren't stealthing your way through anything, unless you somehow suppress its presence.
- Lightside: As any creation of alchemy it can be turned inert or destroyed through sustained powerful contact with the Lightside.
Forged by Cerbera for a specific purpose.
To watch and experience just how far a man can go, before they wake from their self-inflicted blindness.
As far as Sardun knew he stole an artifact of the Light from a Sith. Right before she could destroy it or corrupt it otherwise. It was a rescue, right as he managed to escape from his own imprisonment. It helped him. Strengthened his limbs with the Force, increasing his ability with it.
It allowed him to see right from wrong.
Every facial expression, every lie? It became pronounced, drawing his attention. In return Sardun named it the Ring of Judgement. Because it allowed him to judge those around him.
Ensure they were truthful with him.
Avoid the mistakes that lend him in that prison in the first place.
