Velusia is reeling from a catastrophic sequence of events that have plunged the planet into crisis. The eruption of he planet's largest volcano has unleashed devastating lava flows and ash clouds, wreaking havoc on the sprawling city of Mount Hollow and the peaceful Aquar fishing communities along its shores. As if this disaster weren't enough, the eruption has triggered a massive tsunami, threatening coastal villages across the northeastern islands and leaving residents scrambling for shelter. To add to the chaos, an underwater mine has exploded beneath the waves, collapsing tunnels and trapping numerous species, including Aquar and Velusian miners, in the depths with rapidly dwindling air supplies. The planet is gripped by an unprecedented natural disaster, leaving its people fighting for survival on land, at sea, and below the surface. The citizens of Velusia have requested aid from The Galactic Alliance and the New Jedi Order and are desperately awaiting help!

9uKuz0p.png

Objective 1: Save the inhabitants of Mount Hollow from a deadly volcanic eruption. Work to evacuate those in the lava's path, reinforce buildings from the impending disaster or set up relief at safe zones.

On the planet of Velusia, chaos had unfurled with the eruption of the colossal volcano that loomed over the planet's largest city, Mount Hollow. The once vibrant island city now lay in the grip of disaster, with ash clouds billowing into the sky and thick rivers of molten lava swallowing everything in its path. The Aquar, a peaceful and resourceful species known for their affinity with the oceans, had lived for generations along the shores near the city. Their homes, once nestled among rolling hills and pristine beaches, were now at risk of being wiped away by both the lava flow and the encroaching clouds of volcanic ash. With their fishing boats no longer safe, the Aquar found themselves in a desperate race against time, urgently calling for help as their city crumbled under nature's fury.

Rw0bkuu.png

Objective 2: Use boats to reach the trapped islanders and start an evacuation or help locals barricade their islands against the coming wave and search island jungles for those trapped out in the storm!

To the northeast, the disaster spread its reach even further. The eruption had triggered a massive tsunami, its towering waves heading toward the small coastal villages that clung to the islands in the region. The villagers, who had never faced such a violent storm, now saw their fragile world threatened by the unstoppable force of nature. The roar of the ocean, once a soothing lullaby, had transformed into a terrifying crescendo as the tsunami surged ever closer.

92fBJUK.png

Objective 3: Plunge into watery depths to reach the collapsed mine. The miners must be released and many are injured but beware sea creatures lurk in the depths and some of them are hungry!

Below the waves, another catastrophe was unfolding. A deep-sea mining operation, located far beneath the surface, had been violently disrupted by the seismic tremors from the volcanic eruption. Entire mining tunnels had collapsed, trapping several species of workers in the dark, claustrophobic ruins. Among them were Aquar, Velusian natives, and several other species who had come to work the deep waters. With air supplies dwindling and the clock ticking, every moment was precious, and those trapped in the wreckage could only hope that a rescue would come before the darkness of the depths consumed them.

The Dawn of Hope had arrived in the upper atmosphere. Jonyna had planned for exactly this sort of thing.

The Ladybugs and Rocs came down, prepped to spray cryoban on lava flows, in order to stop the spread of destruction. Jonyna herself was aboard one, flying the speeder with care as she looked down on the erupting volcano. It was moments like this that she thanked the Force she was as strong as she was.

She considered if she could even do so. Stop a volcano. Such forces of nature were so far beyond her power, yet...

She had to try.

The woman pulled up her speeder, parking it allow her to focus.

She asked the Force much. Asked it to bend storms, shift it's trade winds, create waves of massive size...

But today she was asking it something else. To stop. She asked, and...

No.

The Force would not answer that call. She frowned, considering her option. This was nature taking it's course. This planet had to do this, release this energy.

But perhaps...

She asked a different question. The winds of the upper atmosphere shifted. She couldn't stop the mountain from erupting, but she could shift the winds, the fallout, the ash.

Shift it away from the people.

He shouldn't be here. That was one thing Shan knew for sure. He should have been laying in an infirmary bed. Healing up. But there was no way he was going to stay out of it when there was a natural disaster from a planet that had requested aid. Using a quarterstaff that he had...borrowed, from the Temple before he left, Shan made his way through the streets of Mount Hollow. Stamping the staff down with every step as Shan was working out things in his head. He could feel the rumbling beneath him. There wasn't anyway of stopping the Volcano. Not at this point. At least not for Shan's skillset. But he could work to deviate the flow of it if it came nearby.

Shan had made his way to the relative outskirts of the city. Closer towards the Volcano than most would be comfortable with. Hell. Shan wasn't comfortable with it. Here he was, a battered and bruised mess covered in bandages under his robes, about to try and help protect this city. He had failed enough in the past. This time, he was going to achieve something. Save some lives. Calling upon the Force, Shan slammed the staff into the ground, straight through the mud. Letting himself feel the ground around him. And then the ground past that. Around the buildings surrounded him. Spreading past even that to feel the ground ahead of him. Closer to the Volcano.

With that, Shan lifted the staff. The staff that had been so light for him to wield with a sudden immense weight to it. Though as he rose the quarterstaff, the ground around him rose. Shifted. It was going to be a lot of work but Shan wasn't going to give up on it. Lava would struggle to melt the ground. That was the basis behind his plan. If it would struggle to melt the ground, then he could make the ground into a wedge into the path he expected it flow. A wedge that would split the lava. As long as Shan kept focused, he could do this. Make the wedge, and then make a path to guide the lava to the sea.

Valery cut through the deep like a shadow, slipping effortlessly through the darkened waters. A sleek, form-fitting dive suit clung to her frame, built for mobility. Her long, auburn hair floated around her in the slow currents, strands twisting in weightless arcs as she swam. The breath mask secured over her mouth and nose fed her steady, measured intakes of air, each exhale releasing a trail of bubbles that spiraled toward the flickering surface far above.

She wasn't alone down here.

And not just because of those she had come to save.

Her fiery gaze flicked through the murk, piercing the dim glow of bioluminescent flora and the eerie, shifting shadows cast by craggy rock formations. Beyond the wreckage of the collapsed mine, beyond the narrow tunnels where terrified workers were still waiting to be freed, she could feel them. Shapes moving just at the edges of her perception — watching. Stalking. Predators of the deep, stirred by the tremors, drawn by the scent of blood already curling through the water.

She adjusted her grip on her lightsaber, the hilt secured to her thigh by a reinforced strap. Igniting it now would give away her exact position, and until she had a better idea of what lurked beyond the darkness, she wasn't about to do that. Instead, she focused. Reached out with the Force, letting its currents guide her as she angled her body downward, kicking off a rocky outcrop to propel herself deeper into the ruins of the mine.

Through the crumbling tunnels, she caught flickers of life — weak, fading, but there. Some had already been lost, their forms drifting weightlessly, swallowed by the void. Others clung desperately to what little air remained in their damaged breathers, barely conscious, their heartbeats slow, sluggish.

They didn't have much time.

Her fingers flexed, her mind sharpening with singular focus.

Hold on. I'm coming.

But even as she surged forward, even as she prepared herself to break through the debris and reach them, the shadows around her moved.

The deep pressed in from all sides, cold and endless, but Ezorea did not fear the abyss. It was simply another place in need of healing.

Her form moved with the precision of someone accustomed to operating under extreme conditions—measured strokes, controlled breath, every motion deliberate. The pressure of the deep did little to slow her, though the weight of suffering in the Force nearly did. Pain. Panic. Life slipping through trembling fingers.

She exhaled slowly through her rebreather, scattering a silvered stream of bubbles as she reached out, seeking them. The wounded. The desperate. The dying. They were close, their flickering presences pulsing in the Force like failing embers.

Stay with me.

Ezorea reached for the medpac secured at her waist, her fingers tightening around its familiar shape. There was only so much she could do without stabilizing them first. She angled her body, adjusting course as her pale, purple eyes caught sight of Valery moving deeper into the wreckage.

A healer's place was often behind the lines, tending to the aftermath. But down here, in the cold dark, there was no such luxury. The rescuers had to be warriors, and the warriors had to be healers.

A shadow shifted along the periphery of her vision. A pulse of danger thrummed in her mind, ancient and instinctive. They were not alone.

She turned her head, her snowy-white hair fanning in the water, her grip tightening on the small blade strapped to her thigh. She had come to save lives. But if the deep sought to take more than it already had—

It would have to go through her first.

The dark closed in around them, the weight of the abyss pressing against Valery's skin like an unspoken warning. The further she swam, the more she could feel it —a presence, something vast, something waiting.

She didn't ignite her blade, not yet. Not until she had to. But she kept one hand near the hilt strapped to her thigh, her fingers flexing against the smooth, familiar metal. It wasn't just the dying that pulsed in the Force now. Something else lurked within its currents, circling, watching.

Then — Ezorea Zethussaln Ezorea Zethussaln .

Valery's fiery eyes flicked through the shifting water, catching the pale gleam of the other woman's hair, the purposeful control of her movements as she swam. A healer, here in the deep. She didn't need to ask why. She already knew. The weak, the desperate — they needed saving, and some Jedi never turned away from that duty, no matter the cost.

Good. She's here to save them. And Valery would be here to make sure nothing stopped her. Their gazes met briefly, and Valery's voice slipped through the currents of the Force, a silent warning carried on the mental link she forged between them.

<Stay close. Something is coming.>

Ezorea would feel it, too — the slow shift in the water, the way it rippled in unnatural currents, bending around something massive that hadn't yet revealed itself. The kind of pressure that didn't come from the ocean itself, but from a predator. Their surroundings were narrowing now, the wreckage of the mine rising like a graveyard of shattered durasteel and jagged rock. The trapped miners were close — Valery could feel them. But so was something else.

A flicker of movement —just at the edge of their vision. A massive, sinuous shadow weaving through the ruins above them. Valery stopped swimming. She raised a hand, signaling Ezorea to do the same. And then, just beyond the twisted remains of a collapsed support beam, something enormous shifted in the dark.

Something hungry.

Reina couldn't hide her glee and joy coursing through her as she swam around in the ocean. Yes, this was a huge natural disaster and plenty of people were in danger but the woman hadn't gotten to go diving in a long time. She had missed the way she moved through the water, twisting and turning around. This was the life. This mission played into her skill set anyway. Sure, she wasn't big on saving people and preferred to fight...but that's why she brought her harpoon with her! They were fighting against sea creatures! Reina had been doing that as a living since she was young! A grin spreading across her face under her mask. Tapping the cannister to make sure it was somewhat full. There was no point risking herself running out of air whilst she was underwater.

Of course, she wasn't able to go out and do any of this mission by herself. No matter how skilled she might have been which was a disappointment for the woman. Instead she had been paired with a Jedi Knight, Jack Wright Jack Wright . Maybe he was there to keep an eye on her to make sure she didn't get hurt. That made sense to her at the very least.

They don't trust you. They think you'll mess up. That you'll hurt yourself. That you'll hurt someone else.

She just rolled her eyes at the voice in her head. It was annoying still. But not as much. Not after the conversation she had with Valery. Instead Reina was far more...accepting of the voice. It was just an audible sign of her fears. For now though, she just turned her attention towards the Jedi Knight, raising her hand up and linking her index finger and thumb together to give him an OK sign. She was ready to start going deeper when he was!

Water, water, he hated water. Why did it HAVE to be water?!

A volcano couldn't have erupted on Shola or something!

Basic swim training was crucial for Jedi, didn't mean Jack wasn't in the middle of an early midlife crisis. Still, he persevered, joining the young Padawan named Reina, whose presence in the currents radiated more irritation than any apprehension being in the depths. Honestly, he'll take any form of reassurance, diving down to just below her level.

Bubbles emitted between the rebreather, Jack's smirk was invisible right then, but he threw the other Jedi a thumbs-up, indicating he was good to go. No need to delay with people under threat, there's no time to settle with the fear of being in such a large body of the ocean.

The eerie calls of the dark depths informed of impending danger the two Jedi would have to face, his right hand brushed at his flowing saber hilt, not yet ignited. No need to draw the monsters of the sea with light, unless they had no choice, as he started diving deeper for their side of the ruins, the sight mystical and beautiful in this terrain.

But crumbling, evidently. And inside, the surges of panic and terror washed over into the dark ocean, Jack knew there's no time to waste, using the Force as a makeshift propeller, blasting himself onwards with a singular path. An elegant twirl that would have a Mon Calamari blush.

With that, Reina twirled forward under the water. A wide grin spread across her face as she dove deeper and deeper. It felt like home. Even with the terror and fear pulsing through the water, she couldn't hide her joy. That was a good thing in a way. It meant that if they found anyone, she'd be able to somewhat reassure them. It was also good for her in a way. With all of the stress and fears she's been having herself, to just let herself be happy for once was a gift she hadn't given herself in a long time.

She propelled herself forward using her flippers, keeping a tight grip on the harpoon. For someone not using the Force to accelerate her movements, Reina was reasonably swift. It came with the experience. Knowing what muscles to push and how to go with the current. Though her eyebrow raised at the sight of Jack's twirl. Huh. Wasn't bad. She had never thought of using the Force to move herself through the water like that...

As they swam deeper and deeper, Reina did her best to stay focused. Opening up her senses. Being in the water always made her more aware of her surroundings. She could feel the waves, the vibrations coming from Jack's movements. But there was something else...deeper. Almost like a guiding rod, Reina pointed her harpoon in the direction of where she could feel someone before using the Force to launch herself in that direction. It felt so easy to call upon it in the water. That made sense to her of course. After all, she did see the Force as the very Sea itself. The Spirit of the Sea.

Following after her lead, further deeper for the ruins' structure, Jack had minimal trouble, minus visible currents every so often. Yet reaching it to the bottom of where they needed to be, Force prickling at the sense of distressing life.

A trembling wall where someone stood behind, pounding into oblivion. Swimming just to its level, the Knight pressed both palms against the structure, concentrating for a second, feeling the person within was in immediate peril, water steadily catching up as the panic increased exponentially.

Bubbles spewed as Jack whipped his head, nodding over to Reina in focused urgency, moving aside so they can quickly deduce their options for the first person in need of a rescuing.

Reina presumed Jack was able to sense with the Force better than she was, so she held her fingers out, trying to non-verbally confirm how many people were in there. With the assumption being that there was one person in there, Reina tried to figure out what kind of plan they could go with. They were pretty deep down. Even if the person inside held their breath and tried to swim out once they were free, Reina doubt they'd be able to make it to the surface without losing air.

It just brought to memory times when Reina had went diving and her oxygen had ran low. It hadn't happened often but when it did, Reina had always been able to get out safely either way. She was able to instinctively use the Force to control her breathing back then...Though now that she thought about it, she had control over the Force now. Reina knew how to use it.

O' Spirit. Please lend me your aid. Lend me the strength needed to save.

The fisherwoman closed her eyes for a moment. Focusing on the Force inside of her and around her as she started to control it. Forming a bubble of Force around her head, whilst also suppressing her body's need for oxygen. It was a somewhat familiar feeling though it felt strange for her to be able to use it at will. She held her breath whilst wearing her mask still, waiting a few precious seconds. With that being enough confirmation to her that the Spirit had done what she asked, Reina turned her attention back to Jack.

The Padawan mimicked the motion of punching at the wall, as if to break it. Hoping that Jack understood what she meant, Reina got to work taking off the oxygen tank alongside her mask. It was risky to try...but at the same time, it was a sign of how Reina was adapting. Risking herself for a stranger, something she never thought she'd do before. Once the mask was off, Reina formed another Force Bubble around it to keep the water out of it. So far so good.

Once they managed to get to the person on the other side, Reina was going to move as quickly as she could to get the mask on their face. The sooner they could rescue them, the sooner they can get to helping others.

Understanding the intent, Jack watched with some measure of amazement to Reina's personal skill, brows wide above the rebreather in wonder. What she's doing was adaptive, but reckless, should her concentration break for even a second-

All the more reason to break this wall open. And he knew the way, a little trick he learnt while studying Force Imbuement on a nice, forest world.

Facing the wall with a sturdy palm, Jack wielded back his right fist, clenching tightly when he focused, allowing the Force to swim into his fingers like the currents, imbuing a gentle, cyan glow.

With that power, slamming said fist straight into the wall.

CRUMBLE

Jack hastily reached in and pulled the occupant of the room out into the ocean floor, strong hands all but throwing the surprised person holding their breath for the Padawan in haste. Right fingers flexing to wave off the bruises.

She couldn't help herself from giving a cheeky little grin. Reina knew this was reckless. Knew it was dangerous. And felt oh so alive because of it. The adrenaline rushing through her veins was the exact kind of feeling she loved. Part of the reason she had joined the Jedi was to get more experiences like this as she waited. Taking a moment to watch Jack bash in the wall. Interesting.

Though as soon as the wall went down, she rushed straight in, grabbing the miner and practically shoving the mask onto their face to make sure they'd be able to breathe, even whilst they struggled in fear. Reina kept the grin on her face however, giving them a thumbs up whilst pointing over towards Jack's lightsaber. Surely they'd be able to understand that Jack and Reina were Jedi here to help. But now came a choice...

Reina turned her attention to Jack. Time for some non-verbal communication again. She held up one finger on one of her hands, before pointing at the person they saved with her other hand pointed at the surface. Then she held up two fingers, pointed at herself and the person before pointing at the surface, and then Jack and the person before pointing at the surface. Finally she held up three fingers, waved it around in a circle to include all of them before pointing at the surface. Basically trying to decide who was going to go up to the surface.

The storm was approaching and even now the winds and rains pounded the younglings fur as he searched the jungles for the missing. Some had gone on a hunt earlier, determined to find meat and fruits for their villages, but then the volcano erupted and the storm started. The rain made it difficult to see so all assumed that those who were out hunting were lost. Kuhbee was one of the Jedi sent to rescue them.

As he moved through the underbrush, Kuhbee called out occasionally, his deep growls and calls resonating through the jungle in search of any sign of the missing hunters. The storm had torn apart their camp, and many of their tracks had been washed away, making the search even more difficult. Yet Kuhbee's resolve never wavered. He knew the jungle well—its sounds, its smells, its rhythms. Every creak of a branch, every rustle of leaves, could mean something important. His keen Wookiee senses guided him toward a faint trail, the only clue left behind by the lost hunters.

It wouldn't even be a difficult question, Jack hurriedly pointed for the service for both Reina and the passenger, motioning with urgency in the Padawan's direction. That Force bubble wouldn't stick around if her concentration lapsed once; best she get up, deliver the person to safety and re-equip herself with the proper breathing apparatus.

Meanwhile, the Knight himself rushed for the hole made of his - amazingly successful, if he did say so! - just about planting a firm foot in as the water rose and sunk the corridor they opened into, greeted by pure blackness. His right hand brushed on the saber, but instead opted to brighten the lights attached to the flashlight above his wrist.

Waiting for the Padawan to make her run-and-back before advancing forwards.

Ezorea moved with quiet precision, her pale hair trailing like a ghostly ribbon in the water. The abyss pressed against her like a living thing, but she did not flinch—only adjusted, shifting with the currents rather than against them. The presence lurking in the deep was undeniable now, its vastness coiling just beyond sight, waiting.

Valery's warning echoed through her mind, a silent tether between them.

Ezorea exhaled slowly through her rebreather, her purple gaze flicking to Valery before scanning their surroundings. The wreckage loomed around them like the bones of a fallen titan, jagged metal and rock creating a maze of uncertain paths. Somewhere within, the miners clung to life, their fear a distant thrum against her senses. But beneath that, beneath even the eerie stillness of the deep, was something else.

Something that should not be disturbed.

She reached for the hilt at her hip—not a saber, but a blade forged for more delicate work. Ezorea would ensure they survived. Healing was her purpose, but even a healer had to carve a path through the dark.

Then—movement. A shifting of the water, unnatural and slow, as if something vast had stirred from its slumber. She froze as Valery signaled, her body stilling mid-motion. Her eyes narrowed.

Above them, the darkness moved. And it was waiting to strike.

Reina had to fight the urge to smirk and roll her eyes. This wasn't her first rodeo with deep-sea diving. Having the Jedi be worried about her was almost....adorable. Though Reina blinked at that thought. That sounded like something Serina might have been like. Either way, she shook her head to dismiss that thought and prepared to start swimming with the person. Keeping a grip on her harpoon in case there was any thing that wanted to take a bite out of the pair but they seemed to get to the surface simply enough. Letting Reina take in a deep breath as she let both the Force Bubble and Breath Control stop.

"You work on getting towards the evacuation boat. I'll take this back though.""

And so she messed around with the Oxygen canister and the mask to get herself back down towards Jack. It didn't take long for her to get back into the corridor, where she gave Jack another thumbs up and a bright grin under her mask.

The darkness split.

A sudden, violent shift in the water sent a shockwave through the wreckage, stirring up a cloud of silt that momentarily blinded them. Valery barely had time to register the movement before the abyss lurched forward, something massive surging from the ruins above. A predator. Its form was obscured at first — just a dark, sinuous silhouette coiling through the wreckage like liquid shadow. But then, the light caught it.

And Valery saw it.

A maw lined with serrated fangs. Scales that shimmered in the dim glow of their gear, armored and thick. Multiple eyes — black, depthless voids — locked onto them with an intelligence that sent a primal warning through her veins.

It was fast. Too fast.

<Move!>

The warning shot through the Force like a lightning strike, but the creature was already upon them. A massive tail swept through the water with the force of a crashing wave, slamming into a rusted-out support beam and sending it spiraling through the currents. Valery twisted mid-motion, barely avoiding the debris as she reached for her lightsaber.

The beast struck. A blur of muscle and fangs, its gaping maw lunged straight for Ezorea. Valery didn't hesitate. With a snap-hiss, violet light burst to life, cutting through the darkness like a flare. She moved, her enhanced speed allowing her to close the distance in an instant. Her blade arced through the water, carving a brilliant line across the beast's armored snout.

It recoiled, a deep, guttural sound vibrating through the ocean, something between a snarl and a scream. But Valery could already tell — her saber hadn't cut deep. The scales were thick, resistant. This thing wasn't just big — it was built to endure.

And worse?

She could feel its rage now.

The predator's tail lashed out in retaliation, its sheer force sending Valery tumbling through the water, her body slamming into a piece of collapsed metal framework. The impact rattled through her, but she grit her teeth, flipping her body mid-spin and kicking off the wreckage to recover.

The beast turned its attention back toward Ezorea.

Good, she's okay and got her equipment back, that's one less detail to worry.

Smirking under his rebreather, Jack would circle as fast as the water let, peering through the inky darkness of the filled corridor, hand brushed with care over his weapon. Pushing onwards, he made to swim, time was of the essence, and he didn't want them to be responsible for potentially drowning the miners, while the ruins were being steadily stuffed with sea-liquid.

Leading towards a downwards shaft, Jack pushed himself against the submerging depths, hands clutching into stone for further moment. If he was lucky, afterwards, maybe he could get a better look at these ruins when all's said and done. The light only covering so much against the darkness.

Reina tapped her back, making sure she had her harpoon holstered for now. Was that the term for it? Holstered? Eh. That wasn't important for her to figure out as she used her hands to pull herself through the sunken mines, whilst keeping her senses open. Diving so much made her learn to rely on her other senses than just her eyes.

She had to focus on subtle vibrations in the water. Reina knew that some creatures could find their way through the water using echolocation or even sensing electrical signals. Huh. Maybe that's something she could try to work on with the Force now that she thought about it. Enhancing what she could sense so that she didn't have to rely on her eyes...

Though something felt off. The water felt recently disturbed. Of course, it was disturbed with them swimming through it, and all of the rubble and debris that was floating from the mines. But Reina felt like they weren't alone in here. Her eyes darted over towards Jack. She wasn't sure if he had noticed anything. Maybe he had. But Reina was getting ready either way. Reaching up to her back to get her harpoon ready. This was just going to be like old times, hopefully. Yes. She hoped that there was something coming from them. One of the things she had missed almost as much as diving was underwater combat.
