- A Vessel for a potent aspect of the force which can be controlled by the user.
- Force Hound: Much like the name, This creature is a shadow that can hunt down any target presented to it. Going to the ends of the galaxy to do so. Able to travel upon its own, move to its target, and destroy what it seeks. Once it does, the Nightshade will return to the wielder of the vessel in which it will retire to recuperate its strength.
- Incorporeal: Due to the nature of this Nightshade, It cannot be affected by Conventional weaponry, and cannot be fought through the means of weapons or armor. Thus, making it extremely difficult to defeat.
- Servant of the Dark: As a being of the Darkness, it naturally has the ability to use Dark sided related powers as well as use the force. Its power is of the same level of the user of the vessel. Thus, a Non-Force User will not be able to control this device. As it operates much akin to a Holocron where it can only be activated by the force, and used through the force.
- Of the Force: Due to being created through the force in almost its entirety, It is highly resistant to the Force. Of course it can take damage from the force, however, it is also, only as resistant to the force, the more powerful the owner is. Should the Owner be a Master, then it can be extremely resistant to the force. However, a mere apprentice, or an untrained user will find it is extremely weak to the force.
- The Abyss Stares Back: A creature formed of the greatest fears, and Nightmares of any who look upon it. Not only that, but being able to control the force to have an aura of uneasiness, Waves of Darkness, and Force Terror to immobilize or scare someone to death.
- Shadow of the Night: As a Shade, it is almost completely reliant upon how powerful the Owner of the vessel is. Its strength, its resistances, its travel, as well as the availability to the owner of the vessel is all about the Force Connection that the user has. The more powerful the user, the more powerful the Nightshade is. However, that means if the user is extremely weak, or has an extremely low sensitivity to the force, they would be extremely weak.
- Batteries Not Included: When the Nightshade Returns to the owner of the vessel, it can be extremely weak at that point and time. Depending upon what its task was, how long it was away, how far it had to travel, who it had to face, as well as the power of the user. All things needing to take into consideration when the Nightshade needs to recharge. The more powerful the user, and the longer or harder duration it remains away from its vessel, it longer it will be. A Master Level User, On the other Side of the Galaxy, Facing a Master of the Force, for a duration of a couple months could see that when it returns the recharge could be an entire Standard Year or more. And should the Nightshade be bested in battle, it will have a recharge time that is even longer than if it were to return normally. Typically double of what it would have been otherwise.
- Weapons of Light: As the Nightshade is of the Darkness, Jedi who know Force Light and related abilities will be able to easily destroy, or harm the Shade. It can also destroy the vessel in which the user has. In which case, if the vessel is destroyed, the Shade is also destroyed forever.
- Yellow Tape: As a creation of the force, and has a constant connection to the Force, entering a Force Suppression field is impossible for it. In fact, it would fade away into nothing should it enter one. Effectively becoming "Destroyed" and forced to return to the Vessel. Void Stones can suppress the power of the Shade, and should it be there long enough the same effect can take place, but won't happen immediately unlike a Field that the Ysalmir can create.
- Shadeslayer: As a projection of the force, It can be damaged, and even killed by weapons that are attuned to the force. Things such as Force Imbued blades, Sith Swords, or weapons that are forged of the force. In fact, armor that is attuned to the force can repel the shade and prevent any damage that it could cause to an individual. Best way to kill a Shade is to Use a Force Light Infused weapon, with armor that is imbued, while being force sensitive.
- One and Only: As there is only one user, there can only be one Shade. You cannot send multiple shades at a time. Nor can it be handed off to create more per way of a Loophole.
- Mental Protection: Should artifacts, or items be able to protect the mind of a person, the Shade will have a lessened effect upon the person. Namely as its able to shape its form to be the most feared thing a person can imagine. Anyone who looks at it will see their worst fear. However, should someone be wearing a Mental barrier, or be well trained in the usage of Sensory powers, one could lessen, or even negate the mental affects of the person.
For generations, eons even, Sith have used Assassins, Bounty Hunters, and the like to hunt down their prey without getting their hands dirty. Before them, the Infinite Empire had Force Hounds. Individuals who would hunt down Force Sensitives and return them to become a Hound, or find places in which were rich with the force. Through a Force power of Force Phantom, or creating a Smoke Demon, a Sith Sorcerer would be able to create a warrior ghost which can hunt down much like an assassin, fulfilling its purpose before vanishing into thin air.
However now, when one is tamed and held within a vessel to be directly controlled by the user, as well as being much more powerful than the other counterparts, while also gaining some weaknesses of being trapped and owned by the one who has a hold of the vessel.
The Abyssal figure will hunt down whatever target you desire, no side of the galaxy is safe from this Hellspawn.
