RMS Titanic - Real Time Sinking Animation

Not exactly "current" news, but we all know the story of the RMS Titanic.

Now, researches and animators have created a very atmospheric and chilling 2hr 42min video which charts the sinking of the liner from 1 minute before it hits the iceberg to total submersion.

I just found it very eerie indeed, and without the need to depict animated people, gives a very absorbing and emotive feel of what the final moments of the ship were like away from the drama and "entertainment" factor of the version in films.

Nothing but the noise around you. No music or anything.

Check it out...if you've got 2hrs 41mins to spare. It's interesting.

Too many nautical terms for me, but it looks like it didn't just simply break in half like James Cameron showed us.

Hmm in the animation it does show the break in half, but only a quick less than minute of it.
