- Model: RMT-TR9 Fjell Tractor Beam
- Modularity: Size can be scaled depending on constraints and needs.
- Production: Mass-Produced
- Material:
- Emits a powerful tractor beam that can be used to pull objects towards the emitter.
- Able to guide objects and 'push' them away in a similar faction as drawing them in with a tractor beam.
- Inertial mass compensators allow tugging masses larger than the projector source.
- Built to the scale of a ship.
- Tugship: Inertial mass compensators within the Fjell allow ships the ability to tug masses that are larger than the source.
- Proportioned Size: Depending on the needs of the ship, technology or manufacturer, the Fjell can be appropriately scaled to the required size.
- Power Draw: Unlike the RMT-TR8 Hamada, the Fjell features a high power draw and while the need to take up a large portion of a ship's physical space and power source to function, limiting the number of other systems that can be installed on a ship with the Fjell.
- Bigger Ship, Bigger Strength: Due to physical limitations, smaller ships installed with the Fjell face limitations on size of ships they can tractor, although it still allows them to tractor ships and objects with a larger mass.
The RMT-TR9 Fjell Tractor Beam is the beefed-up version of its cousin, the RMT-TR8 Hamada. While it features the same initial features as the Hamada, such as the ability to guide objects and push them away in a similar faction as tractoring them, the Fjell goes a step further by the way of inertial mass compensators. Built in to eliminate the law of mass on which most tractor beams operate, which in most circumstances does not allow generators to tractor a mass that is larger than the source. However, the addition of these powerful inertial mass compensators means that the power draw and physical size of the Fjell is much larger than its cousin, and takes up a large proportion of a ship's physical space and power draw. Thus, ships that install the Fjell will find that there is little leftover room for other technologies. All-in-all, the Fjell is a powerful tractor beam that is only limited by its large power draw and physical size, in proportion to the
