Road To The Throne

Blackened Valkyrie — The 14th Wife
"We are one. As we share
the glory of our victory's,
so to should we share
the pain of our defeat.
In this way, we grow closer.
we grow stronger."
The body hit the floor with a heavy thud. Blood pooled around man soaking into the clothes and cracks. It gave off a sweet metallic smell but it was faint. The hallway was now littered with dead body's and those who would soon share the same fates. Teresa took a step back from the last guy and drew a large breath with a slow exhale relaxing her body. she'd look down at the robes noticing the blood splatter and a bit of grey matter. Her and reached down picking it off and flicking it at the wall where it stuck for a second before sliding down.

The girl turned around confident the east side had been defended. Now it was time for her to get her ship repaired. although something etched at her that it wasn't going to be so simple. People like that woman always had an ulterior motive they always wanted more. Now was a better time than any to find out what that was. It wasn't like she was in a rush, nor could she. Plain and simply she was trapped here.

Teresa went back to the same place they both encountered each other. No doubt the woman would have an easier time finding her. Gunfire was still going on as it carried through the complex. Teresa knew she could help, but she did her job. That was that, she didn't know this person. instead she used her saber to carve random symbols into the wall. One of them would have been done several times, one she had seen in her visions when she had blacked out.

The battle for the planet was over, just the stragglers who can't let go, but soon will be dead. Her droids and the empire army was now here in force, and putting down what was left. Death squads lead by acolytes, are also have been dispatched. It was time to meet the force user, who she was unsure about killing earlier. Some one who said her name is special, well it was time to see how special she was. She head over to her, she was near some ship that she looked like it needed repairing.

She then shouted over to her So what is your famous powerful name?

Teresa turned to look at the woman and switched off her saber. "What?" She said coming out of her own little world. "Ohh, i'm of the Shan bloodline. Not that many people remember it anymore. Hell i didn't even know till the force guided me to the answers." Her tone was soft and subtle. "You asked for my name before, it's Teresa." The girl lent against the wall curious but speechless of what to ask or even to say. She knew right now shed have to be wise. After all there was armies here and there was one of her. one wrong move shed be good as dead.

"So who are you guys? I mean you came in with some force huh." The girl would drop her hood down from her head showing her black hair with red highlights in. The woman would also be able to see the black veins around her eyes and a deep scar across the right side of her face that made it look as if she was in a bad fight. That assumption would be correct however it was during the struggle for her freedom, the struggle to brake her literal chains that made breathing hard. It is a constant reminder to grab power by the throat and hold tight.

she looked a shook her head, she was going to tease her a little Never heard of the name Shan before, was it form some who mean to be famous? She knew perfectly well, but after thousand years you have very little in common with an ancestor form that far back, genetically speaking. As if we did, we all end up inbred after awhile. She then asked, So who was your teacher, as you do seem to have knowledge of the force. Now this bit she was more interested in, than long dead name, and some heritage from the past. She more about the here and now, and the future than the past. The past was only useful to learn lessons from, and get odd artifact, for some reason artifacts of past did hold more power. She waited for the answer, then she would possibly know who she was really dealing with.

Like Teresa said not many people remembered the lineage. "Revan, Bastila, Tasiele, Satele. Names forgotten through the ages." She said listing the names she knew of. There was one other but his name eluded her at the time. It would continue to annoy her as she did know it and by the time she could it would be irreverent to the conversation. A second question got fired at her and the answer to it was difficult to explain. "I've had no formal teacher or trainer. Some of my abilities I discovered myself, others... are through the memories attached to the saber and robes. Unfortunately there are gaps like a key element is missing."

It was torture not knowing what tales are to be told in the gaps. She'd relive them every time her eyes shut reliving them like they where her own memories. "why do you ask anyway?" She asked to combat curiosity with curiosity. Really this could play out in a few directions but she could take and estimated guess at two maybe three possibility's.

She looked at the woman, and shook her head, and then said A formal master is better than self taught, as if you teach yourself, you make the mistakes they have have made. You make the mistakes, their masters made. Learning from another, is also avoiding their mistakes. She ponder for a moment, and asked Follow our new emperor, and I shall help teach the way of the sith, and one of the paths of Darth Revan. She was going to even pretend she had not heard of Revan. She decide if she may even train her, though she trained anyone in a while.

She looked at the woman with a interested stare and slight smirk. "It would be a mistake to follow blindly, would it not. I've no idea who your emperor is or why I should follow him or her." Her words for a moment sounded like refusal, but she wouldn't follow a nobody for no good reason. "But... if you are serious about this path you want to lead me down, then I guess I will follow you. just don't expect me to trust you, because I won't. It is something that is earned and even then it will be a loose trust. I can only presume that it goes both ways. After all you have no reason to trust me."

Teresa was no fool. She'd look at all angles to figure a person out. right now the woman before her was quite illusive, in time Teresa would learn all there is about the sith. Although she would of course return the favour in time too. "So what do you want me to call you? And forget me calling you master, that will never happen." The last few words came off bitter and sharp as she momentarily relived a dismal part of her life. a part she wished she could forget, but she forgets nothing.

[member="Teresa Shan"]

Darth Banshee laughed, that was quite funny You have a lot to learn, here is the first lesson. Never trust a sith, especially a lord of the sith. We are all apex predators as the force demands, if you need to betray me gain advantage, do it, and do it quickly. As I would do it to you, are we understood. That is the reason, Darth Bane under tutelage of Darth Revan came up with the rule of two. So do you understand your first lesson, learn from everyone, and hone your skills. A master does not does not do a thousand things once, they do one thing a thousand times. She looked at her with eyes, she was trying to see what she thought of the truth.

Teresa couldn't have agreed more to what the woman said. "Oh believe me, if the need arises I will not think twice of killing you. Especially if you stand in my way. Besides i'm very familiar with the rule of two. I remember it as if it was my own memory's." She looked over towards her ship that was still in need of repairs desperately. "So whats next then? can we get your new lackeys to maybe fix that. Its not much right now but without a ship I'm unable to get about. That and I'm found of the ship even if its lacking a lot of equipment many ships have these days." Teresa was still unsure of her name or even an alias to call her by.

She looked at her, as to say many have tried, all have failed. She then looked at the ship, it did not need repairing it needed scrapping. So if you willing to serve the empire, I am sure the empire will get a new and better ship, not just repair that rust bucket. She then looked at her and said, As you just accepted my tutelage, I guess getting you a better ship falls to me. The empire is going to be attacking the dominion soon, so survive and do help the empire, and I will make you a ship, befitting of my apprentice. She looked at her, and waited for that to sink in, that she was going to be given a warship, of her own if she followed the empire.

Teresa appreciated the offer on a new ship but she like this one it was familiar to her, since she wasn't the best of pilots familiar was better. "Again I'd rather it be repaired. It's not exactly that old butttt at the time I lacked funds to buy the full package so it's and incomplete ship. Means mine will someday beat others of the same model through upgrades." The dominion was a whole other ball park. She had experience with them not as one of their people but because she had a common enemy that was needed dead. Unfortunately that target got away due to her apprentice.

that fight brought chills along her spine. It was a worthy fight that pushed Teresa's limits. She was adamant that the fight would end with them both dead but the apprentice accepted surrender. "I will assure you what they have we will take. Their strength has dwindled rapidly by fighting wars they can't win. It's foolish really. I have full confidence that we will be the killing blow."

It took Teresa a moment to catch onto something her new teacher said. "Also by make ships you mean build them?" She'd ask in curiosity. "If so then I would appreciate a hand in adding some weapons and sheilds on that."

[member="Teresa Shan"]

Yes apprentice I build ships, I make money out of war. Also this gives me a finger on politics of the galaxy, as if people are buying more ships, then they are getting ready for war. You know when ships are being built for war, even if they buying them from you. As the price for the raw materials you need to make ships, go up.

She then looked at the ship, it was not beyond the capacity of her company to upgrade, and fix it. Yes we can do that, but you have to do me a favour afterwards. I want you to secure a supply of combat drugs, and no they are not for me or you. I plan to make combat unit for the empire, slave force drugged up cannon fodder, before the better troops go in. She use to have an addiction to death sticks, and did not want to go down that road again. She did not want to talk to dealers ether, she wanted to stay wanted to stay away from the lot. So sending her seemed a good idea, to get what she needed. After all that is what apprentices where for.

The task sounded somewhat trivial but was a fair deal. Like any kind of task or job she needed information. "Seems a fair deal but what am I up against and where is this place?" She'd ask as her starter questions. General information was always good to start planning and scout the place before making a move. Although the task could work in her favor than just an upgrade and repair to a ship. She was starting to think about forcing the person in charge to give up the facility. That way her new mentor would have a lasting supply line of drugs and Teresa would reap the benefits from the black market.

Of course she'd not share the idea with the woman. Well not yet anyway. Still there was a matter of more information. "Also how many units of these drugs do you require? If it's more than I can carry then I may need some people to lend a hand in carrying it out after I've secured it."

[member="Teresa Shan"]

She listened to her new apprentice questions, I will need a constant supply of battle stimulants, or any other sort combat drugs that you can get your hands on. I suggest you start of at Nar Sharda, as most drug trade goes through their. The plan is to make canon fodder unit, to charge at the enemy. So I do not care about their life expectancy, so if they have bad day afterwards, so be it. I just want them not to panic in the line of fire. Now you ship, get it to my ship yard and tell them what you want doing with it. She then paused and said And seeing it will be along journey, have think how you would like to be molded, what secrets of the force you like to learn. Then after you got a contract for me, for the stims, we shall delve into the learning.

Teresa gained a slight smirk. It seems that the woman's needs aligned with her own. Been able to consolidate a company as her own assets would be useful. It would offer income, something she lacked right now. "I can take the shuttle fighter to the location. I've a job along the way that I need to attend to so it works out. As for the ship it's self I'll not be able to move it. Engines got pretty shot up and there is a hole in the Hull. I try to leave atmosphere it will shred apart. It's the reason I brought it here. Anyway a sheild and a front weapons would be useful. If later on you can copy the weapons on the shuttle then it would be useful on the top as a turret." She said addressing the most urgent modifications.

As she was about to make way she paused for a second. "Umm I don't suppose you'd have a spare slave collars do you? Preferably ones with a remote. I need to hire some goons before I reach dathomir and I don't want them running off. Also a third for the owner of said company. I'm thinking I'll just take it over and claim it as my own. I don't think you'd argue with that would you? I mean you will get a good supply line and I'm sure I can influence the new slaves to make something spicy for your cannon fodder."

[member="Teresa Shan"]

Yes we have spares, head to one Transport Frigates they are bond to have few their. Though I tend to go for an explosive, chip inside them. So they don't know where it is, though slave collars are still useful, to help with disobedient slaves. Though only ones that are worth the effort, as I can still sell the corpse for meat to feed sith spawn. She then headed out to let her new apprentice get her job, she had to plan a raid to get some more slaves soon. She for some reason thought this apprentice may work out.
