RoboCop's Revenge

Eshan was home. Truthfully, Eshan was a lot of things, but she never felt the same unless she was there. Zandra was missing, somewhere, which wasn't really surprising to her, but it was reality. Eshan felt somewhat safe. A planet full of warriors wasn't exactly the place to target by the bad guys. Regardless, she'd been working on things, and they required her to be on her homeworld.

"Javin? Status?"

The Echani man poked his head into the room from the front office.

"Umm... Well, the parts and such are here, and we do have the skeleton built, but...."

"I don't like but's."

"Yeah, well, I can't tell you much more than that."

Janira leaned back in her seat and rubbed her forehead a few times. This was starting to become a bigger headache than she wanted it to be, but she'd known it was going to be. Truthfully, this was necessary. It had to happen. All of it did. If she was going to make this all work... No, she needed to focus. There was too much at stake for this to fail.

"Just get it done, Javin. Today."

"I'll do my best."

Javin wasn't too keen on this whole operation. True, he'd worked for Janira back when she was actually, well, Janira. This was a clone, though. He knew that because he was probably the only person aside from the clones and Janira to know the truth of the Shroud project. That was how it had to be, he knew, but it didn't make it any less disconcerting. And now she was building something even greater, something he couldn't help but enjoy working a bit on.

"Javin do this. Javin do that. She's lucky I enjoy my work."

He rolled his eyes and walked into his lab. Applied Sciences, Robotics Division. His machines were more than typical droids. They were smarter, more advanced. Nearly alive if he wanted them to be. But they couldn't have the emotion of the living, or they wouldn't be able to do their jobs. He stopped in front of his desk and looked across at the new skeleton.

"Let's get you equipped, shall we?"

Pulling up commands on the holo, he initiated operations in the control and forging chambers beneath his lab. Next the gloves. Then it was time to get to work. This armored exterior wasn't going to build itself.

Beneath him, the machines began to churn. The metals were unique, and there were very few specimens of known usage in galactic history. He knew. He'd done his homework. So now he had to create something that hadn't been created in a while. He could do it, and he could make it look so much better. But it was too hot to actually work in the chamber himself, so remotely controlled robotics was the only option available to him.

"Steady as she goes."

The smelting was probably the easiest part of the whole thing, to be honest. Heating up raw metals to precise temperatures and combining them to create an alloy was not exactly new science. The trick was in the component parts of the alloy itself, and in its tempering. Everything had to be precise or it wouldn't work. Each compound had its own unique melting point. The room was going to be very, very hot. He maneuvered each vat of liquid metal to the mixing vat, and proceeded with the combination.

It was much like cooking, only far more dangerous. This wasn't his first test of this, but he was certain it would be the last. The metals combined harmoniously, which left the molds. He'd formed them based off the new skeleton, a much more lithe, slightly taller form than the original EMBU line. They would be sleek, beautiful, and deadly. The molds were filled with the metal, and then pushed into a blast chiller.

From the blast chiller they would go through another heating and then final cooling process to fully temper and harden the metal compound. If it worked, they would have the metal armor needed to protect the Mk. 2 and 3's. If it didn't, he'd be doing this all over again in a few hours.
